I have recently bought NOKIA 5800 express music. From past 2 days the phone has hung twice. I had to remove the battery and restart the phone to get it back into working. The phone was idle and I wasnt running any application when it had hung. Can someone tell me what the problem is and if there is any solution for this, as at times it really frustrating to restart all over! Some details of the phone software

since yesterday I'm owner of N85-1 phone, so I was very happy when I saw the device (it is a present), but today I've become very sad.
So, my main PROMLEM is very strange:
Last evening I used the phone for probably 30 min. conversation, than I set the alarm clock in order to wake up this morning and go to work. But I overslept and a thought that I did not hear the phone alarm.
My surprise was huge when I tried to switch on the phone, I entered the PIN code of the card and there was the alarm active whit the usual two options - snooze or switch it of. No matter what I choose the phone is blocking and I can't use it at all. The only way to do something is to remove the battery, so I've done it this morning for at least 20 times and the result is the same every time - the phone is blocked and I can't do anything to use the phone.
In the same time when I dial my number from other phone I'm hearing the "free" signal, but the N85 is not ringing at all.
I've heard marshmallow detects whether your phone is fast charging or not. I use the stock Motorola turbocharger on android 6.0.1 and it charges very fast but shouldn't the charging lockscreen display "charging rapidly" like on some other fast charge phones?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've used them before when rooting a previous phone. I have a problem with my new S6. I got it about three weeks ago, and I love it. The only problem I have is the incredibly short battery life. There has to be a problem with my phone, because I'll have a battery life of about 5 hours on a good day, but usually 2 or 3. The phone will get mildly hot, and all battery will drain rapidly. I will regularly lose ~40-50% in an hour after it starts heating up.
I've been simply dealing with it for a while, after a failed attempt to find a solution on Google. I regularly close my apps, and I even have powersaver on at all times now. Last night, I closed all apps, then restarted my phone. It was at 98 when I fell asleep. I woke up 9 hours later and it was dead. I have checked the battery info a couple times, but I don't ever see anything rapidly draining battery.

Maps now won't work at all on my N95 phone. Previously, Nokia Maps had started taking *forever* to get a fix (actually probably wasn't ever going to), and I insanely tried to 'improve' the application to Ovi maps when looking for a solution. It installs fine (twice), but will not load past about 30%. Hangs the entire phone. I removed a cities folder. No good. I can't find maps as an application to uninstall.
Context: Nokia software works pathetically badly on my Vista computer. Ovi fails repeatedly (grays out), software updater loads but has never worked, some Nokia software is slowing booting and closing of the computer etc. And the phone usually has to install drivers each time it is plugged in, despite this happening many times before.
My Mmc card had a virus that's why i am not inserting it in my phone. that's why i'm only using my phone memory... i went to a special occasion and i took many pictures. after that, my phone hangs and it's keypad doesn't work. when i slide it up, it asks my security code but i can't enter it. Others say I have to format my phone but I don't want to lose my pictures on that occasion.
View 9 Replies View RelatedGot to the end of a run today and my RunKeeper app was locked up. I finally got it to close, but then the phone started rapidly and constantly cycling through apps and screens, even moving apps and widget around. It's like an invisible person is constantly touching and dragging their fingers across the screen. Holding down the power button for 5 seconds got it shut down, but when restarted, it resumed it's app cycling. I could have gotten some sweat (from my run) on the volume buttons or down in the headset jack, so I stuck it in a bag of rice to cover that possibility. A factory reset is an option I can explore later tonight if no other suggestions are made.

I am completely unable to install OVI suite. The installation hangs every time. I have tried several times. Firstly from the installer that shipped with the phone (this just hung - no message), then from the most up to date version downloaded from the website. With this latter I get a message saying "an error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.MC,processorArchitecture="x86",publictoken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32". I have seen similar posts to this on the forum - most of which suggested uninstalling PC suite and then trying the install again. However, I have never had PC suite on this machine.
I have some strange problems with touch buttons. When I press "home" button nothing happens, but phone reply with vibration, so it can recognise the press. Also in some fullscreen apps I'm unable to pull out touch buttons.

If I restart my phone with the memory card inserted, my phone just hangs on the Nokia white screen and does nothing, but upon removal of the card it starts up fine...
After the phone starts up, I usually re-insert said memory card and everything works fine untill now, after inserting the card, my phone jams up and won't respond to button presses or screen touches....
I've removed the faulty memory card from the phone and done a chkdisk on it, with Windows doing all the repairs to the corrupted files and reinserted it but it still jams the phone up whenever I insert it....
Did a hard reset on my phone and reinserted my card and now it's stuck at a dialogue box thats says : Installing
Are there any ways that I could get it working again without loosing important data on the memory card?
I have a huge problem with my N79, its only about 3 months above a year old. Its been acting up for the last 24 hours. When the phone's on, and i try using the keypad to either to type out a text or to move around the menu, the phone hangs / keypad doesnt work. I dont know whether its the phone hanging or the keypad problem because the screen goes dark, and i cant revive it, but its still on, and i have to restart the phone, but the same thing keeps happening. I tried hard reseting my phone, that didnt work either.

So, I flashed with stock firmware from sammobile and phone works. I then hard reset it from recovery mode and phone boots and everything fine. I have tried diffrent computer screens and diffrent positions, sometimes the phone just hangs and i have to do a battery pull. I have downloaded OTA the new bbm because my desktop manager woont update it. It is not a big issue but i was wondering why it isnt working.I dont know if its ok to post a diffrent problem but i thought it would be easier to get an answer then to make another post. The 2nd problem i have is with voice dialling, it doesnt load if it has a big number of contacts, i fixed it by deleting most of my contacts. It works fine now, but i waz wondering if there is a way to fix this so i can have more contacts.

When a incoming call comes in and you answer the phone, 9 out of 10 times it hangs up as soon as you answer the phone.
When I switch on the camera, it shows a blank screen for a minute and the phone restarts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter completing a phone call or when the phone times out, it freezes and nothing will unlock it other than pulling the battery out. If I hard press the power button, the Phone Options screen will pop-up but none of the selection will work thru the touch-screen. While the [Phone Options] screen is open I can open the slide keyboard and use the mice-like button to scroll down and take the [Power off] option. Phone will work again after pulling the battery or powering it off thru the keyboard (at least this will save me the time of removing the battery).It seems that both actions (call and time out) send some kind to signal to the screen to lock it. When pressing the power button I will see the slide bar to unlock it but the screen is frozen and nothing will make it work. Luckily for Motorola the phone's warranty just expired (7/28/11).I have done both, Factory data reset and Wipe data/factory reset (Power key + "x") but nothing helped. I have looked out there in we but nothing similar.Does anyone have experienced this? - As you can imagine this is extremely painful and annoying. I ended up increasing the timeout to the max (30 minutes), but obviously jeopardized the battery life. I have to charge the phone almost every 2 hours.
