This doesnt happen every time i use the home button but it is happening more and more frequently. It started happening about a month before the iphone warranty ran out and i didnt think much of it. However now the iphone has been out of warranty for a month it seems to be happening more and more frequently.

I updated to the lollipop software or whatever it's called and my phone literally does nothing anymore it takes about a minute for it to respond to the home button being pressed, and I literally cant open a single app. I cant even get into settings whenever I hit anything on my phone, if my phone responds at all, i just get a black screen. It does it intermittently, and I suspect it's because the whole phone is lagging - too many little background things running I suppose.
Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
I'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button.
All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working.
It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?
My iPhone 6 sometimes (very rare) does not wake from sleep when pressing either the sleep button nor home button.

Every the lock button is pressed the screen turns back on by itself after a few seconds. The same thing happens when the phone is left to timeout. This started occurring after I left my phone to charge overnight and it hasn't stopped since. I've tried running it in safe mode, but the problem still occurs. I have also tried factory resetting, clearing cache, and a simple restart.

I have tried going into settings/general/reset and selecting "reset all".

I have a problem with my home button. It works every time I press it and iPhone act correctly, but the pressing itself isn't as it should be. So the button doesn't work soft, elastically and neatly. It feels like there's something inside the mechanism. And the sound of pressing the button isn't typical.But the iPhone is almost new and it works great apart from the button.
