I'm using the S6 on stock rom (Android 5.1.1.). However, none of the LED changer apps is working. Tried light flow, LED Blinker, Light Manager.I enabled LED lights under android settings, gave each of the apps the necessary rights, even priorities. View 10 Replies I just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy S6. I am loving the phone and everything about it...except the texting app notifications. Coming from the iphone I really liked how I could keep the content of the text private, but it would show me who sent it. I also had the notification pop up in the middle of the lock screen and turn the screen on momentarily, and then I could swipe the notification to the right to open it in the texting app.
For the life of me, I can't find an app that will do exactly that. I really liked that feature. I don't want a quick response window to reply from the lock screen.
Sometimes I receive Twitter notifications not just appearing in the notification bar but also as a pop-up over the top of what I'm looking at the time. It get's annoying after a while.Is there any way to stop the pop-up notifications from appearing? I still want to receive Twitter notifications via the notification bar.

I could have one for email, text message, voicemail, etc. But with the new lollipop, I don't have any flashing light LED notifications. Am I just not finding it or did they take this away?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the app icons for Facebook and Email, I have orange circles with a number in them showing new emails or Facebook notifications. I want to make the orange FB notifications DISAPPEAR. My belief is that since I see that orange # show up so frequently, with every new comment to a FB post, that my device must be pushing notifications and checking FB every 10 minutes, wearing down my battery. So I would like to end that.
I have already:
1.Gone to App Settings > Refresh Interval and said NEVER
2.Gone to App Settings > Notifications and choose INACTIVE
3.Gone to Account Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push and UNCHECKED everything
I have also gone to Device Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Facebook and UNCHECKED Show Notifications.
The same orange circle with number of new emails show on my email icon, but I don't mind that so much. However, if I can disable it, perhaps I can find my way to disable on Facebook.
The call notification icon will not disappear from the notification bar not even after restart or shut down.
I mention I have closed all apps from multi tasking and it still did not disappear
I would post a screenshot but the app crashes if do that.
I am having an issue with my S5 ever since I got it. Multiple times throughout the day, I hear a notification sound (like I have a text message) but there is no notification of any sort what so ever whenever I review my phone.
I did not have the issue on my GS4, and I pretty much have all the same apps installed.
Updated M8 to Lollipop (not by a custom ROM), are the Google Apps displayed with transparent notifications? (in other words, does the color extend to the very top on all of the google apps?)

What takes to enable the badge for other apps? such as Whatsapp ....
For some reason I cannot change notification sounds in each of these apps. It just falls back to the system notifications sounds. Do I need to change app permissions to allow for this change?
OK, gmail seems to work. Now just hangouts not working.
Is it possible to have different notification sounds for e-mail, texts and other apps like whatsapp?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Incredible I was able to set a different notification sound for each Gmail account (2), Facebook, voice-mail, texting, etc. When I do this on my Maxx with ICS whatever the last one is that I set up automatically becomes the :default sound" and all the apps use that sound...it overrides the sound that I set in each individual app. How can I get what I want done?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter disabling "Show Notification" for apps on SD card, reboot the phone, this setting will become re-enabled. It seems the setting does not stick for apps on SD.
I've tested these steps but no luck:
- disable it, move it to SD, reboot.
- disable it, reboot, move it to SD, reboot.
- move it to SD, disable it, reboot.
Not sure if this is a bug or limitation of Lollipop. I'm using 5.0.2 on D6653 (build # 23.2.A.1.62).

What this is supposed to indicate? It seems to come on once in a while for no apparent reason. As far as I can tell it is not an indication that I have a text or email nor is it telling me that I have a missed call or voice mail. My battery is over 50% so it's not a "low battery" notification either.
My LED blinks blue for email, texts, voice mail and turns red when I charge the phone. It turns green when it's fully charged. What this pink LED is telling me.
How can I add to message notification sounds? I don't like any on the phone so would like to personalise my message alert tone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone started notifying me of SMS messages by a new pop up at the bottom of my screen. I use Hangouts and couldn't find anything in the settings in there so I switched over the the standard android messaging. I turned off all notifications and the pop up still was coming every time I received a message. This almost appears like is a system notification, since it is the same style as other pop ups. (ie: "copied to clipboard" when you take a screenshot) I have attempted to attach a screen shot of the notification. Hopefully it worked. How to disable this notification? Nothing has worked yet.

Like for Snapchat or Facebook, notifications show up on the top of the screen, but they stay way too long. And there is no way to get rid of that white box with the notification.
