View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 6 running Android Marshmallow, though this was happening with Lollipop too. Randomly, my default ring tone, messenger notification, or gmail notification will change, either to no tone, or just a single repeating beep. When I check the settings, the selected sound ends up being a 5 digit number. For example, my messenger tone is now 53918, no sound plays. Annoyingly for messanger, it will change the notification for all my conversations to 53918. So even if I change the default, all active conversations keep the "number sound."
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Incredible I was able to set a different notification sound for each Gmail account (2), Facebook, voice-mail, texting, etc. When I do this on my Maxx with ICS whatever the last one is that I set up automatically becomes the :default sound" and all the apps use that sound...it overrides the sound that I set in each individual app. How can I get what I want done?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my S5 ever since I got it. Multiple times throughout the day, I hear a notification sound (like I have a text message) but there is no notification of any sort what so ever whenever I review my phone.
I did not have the issue on my GS4, and I pretty much have all the same apps installed.
I know how to change the ring tone for messaging, but I need to know how to silence the little sound when you send a text and receive one.

Where do I find the settings to change the sounds of my SMS messages?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just changed phones from a HTC 610 to a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
In the days of my HTC's (3 of them) I used to always get a notification sound when I sent an SMS.
With the new Z5 Compact this does not happen, I do get a little message saying "Sent" for a moment and a little green arrow flashes up for a few seconds.
Not having the best of sight, or when outdoors, I am often unable to tell if the SMS actually went out. Is there a way to get a short tone to let me know that the message went out? I just can't seem to find a setting.
Not sure if this is an Android issue (current is 5.1.1, previous 4.2 and earlier) or if it is a Sony Z5 issue.
Over all the sound on the z3 is good. It's loud when turn up the volume on music and videos but for some reason the notifications tone is lower than when I select it to preview. I did check the audio settings and made sure the notification Sounds are at max. The clear audio etc. And it's seems like it's just a few notches to low.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 for a year and I've never had any trouble with it.Yesterday I noticed that the notification sounds aren't working. I haven't done any update or settings change, so I found it a bit weird.I've already checked the profile settings (they are all correct), I've also tried to downgrade the software version to BB4 but, after some minutes the sounds stopped working again. Then I went back to 5.0.0.855 (1385) and still no sounds...The music player is working, the keypad sounds are OK... only the notifications are muted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my Sony xperia z2 And now there are no sounds when I receive all messages and any other notification from all my apps. All I get is a vibration.
In messages under settings, I have chosen my notification tone. But nothing not even the light flashing anymore. As of now I don't know when people are sending me a text message.
For the past week or so, and with a frequency of 2 to 3 times a day, I am receiving an audible notification tone (same as I get when I recive a text message), but when I pull down the notification shade, there is no notification of any sort there.
I have checked my email and Google Now, and notifications are off. I have uninstalled all recently installed apps. I have done a soft reset.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI really love my new Verizon LG4 coming from a Samsung S3. It picks up signal clearly where I had complete drops on S3. However, one thing has really annoyed me and I need to find a way to live with this.
The ring sound and text notification sounds are either both ON or both OFF. I have to leave the ringer on for various reasons, but then I get the text notifications all night long. Various volume apps I downloaded did not separate out the sounds. This is a really bad idea to tie these together.
I have tried playing with Priority Interruptions, but can't quit seem to get the phone to ring and the texts to be silent.

It interiors my music and I find it annoying. This did not happen on my previous phone. I can't find a setting to turn this off. I hope I'm just missing it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNo matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders.
