HTC One M7 :: Random Phantom Notification Sounds
Jul 30, 2013For the past week or so, and with a frequency of 2 to 3 times a day, I am receiving an audible notification tone (same as I get when I recive a text message), but when I pull down the notification shade, there is no notification of any sort there.
I have checked my email and Google Now, and notifications are off. I have uninstalled all recently installed apps. I have done a soft reset.
Lumia 950 XL :: Won't Play Email Notification Sounds
Nov 30, 2015No matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders.

Jan 26, 2015I have been having this annoyance where the phone would play a sound (it is like the sound the lockscreen makes when you set it to swipe to unlock). I hear the sound about every hour or so, but I am trying my best to figure out how to remove it.
So far I haven't did anything to stop this from happening, I'm looking for some answers to hopefully get rid of this.... I keep thinking that it is a notification, but I don't see one of them.
IPhone :: Random Sounds And Vibration, Yet No Notifications?
May 1, 2012Over the past couple of days, my phone (iphone 4) has been random vibrating and/or making various sounds. When this happens, there are no notifications. It will just sound or buzz for what seems to be no reason. Most of the time, my applications are not on. I have push on for my mail application, but that's it. The phone is in good condition, it's never been dropped or damaged in any way.

Nov 23, 2011I would like to share this problem i'm having with my lumia 800, and possibly see if someone has a solution to it.After buying this phone from Orange in France a few days ago, it has been making random reeboots 10 to 15 times a day. It could be when I'm writing a sms or using any app at any time, the phone just suddenly goes "au revoir" and reboots! Nov 23, 2012I bought my lumia 920 two days ago.I like it.. it is very impressive.I have some problems and I would like to understand if they are related to software or hardware.bviously there is the problem of the random reboot. I am pretty sure it is software related, hope Nokia will fix this soon.The other issue is a sound crackling when a sound start, it happen after a notification, playing games and playing music... apparently it doesn't affect Nokia music app.The problem is not the speaker because it happen also with streaming audio via a2dp.

Jul 3, 2010I have just changed phones from a HTC 610 to a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
In the days of my HTC's (3 of them) I used to always get a notification sound when I sent an SMS.
With the new Z5 Compact this does not happen, I do get a little message saying "Sent" for a moment and a little green arrow flashes up for a few seconds.
Not having the best of sight, or when outdoors, I am often unable to tell if the SMS actually went out. Is there a way to get a short tone to let me know that the message went out? I just can't seem to find a setting.
Not sure if this is an Android issue (current is 5.1.1, previous 4.2 and earlier) or if it is a Sony Z5 issue.
Xperia Z3 :: Notification Sounds Are Low
Apr 3, 2014Over all the sound on the z3 is good. It's loud when turn up the volume on music and videos but for some reason the notifications tone is lower than when I select it to preview. I did check the audio settings and made sure the notification Sounds are at max. The clear audio etc. And it's seems like it's just a few notches to low.

Jul 6, 2013I cannot figure out what the little sound this phone is making all the time, haven't worked out the pattern yet. But it is really annoying as I can't seem to turn it off. I have tried numerous sound profile app, nothing works.
Also everything is untick in sound profile under 'system' but It still makes a noise when I unlock the phone.
It is a system sound because it is not the notification sound I have set in the sound profile. Even when I set it to silent, it still makes the noise.
I'm seriously thinking of switching back to the One X.

Aug 17, 2015I really love my new Verizon LG4 coming from a Samsung S3. It picks up signal clearly where I had complete drops on S3. However, one thing has really annoyed me and I need to find a way to live with this.
The ring sound and text notification sounds are either both ON or both OFF. I have to leave the ringer on for various reasons, but then I get the text notifications all night long. Various volume apps I downloaded did not separate out the sounds. This is a really bad idea to tie these together.
