my iPhone has as of today started to make screeching noises while I'm on the phone. No one else here's it it's only on my side of the call.

For some reason my phone is now making an incredibly loud screeching noise when I am making a call. Both I and whoever is on the other end hear it. It could be a problem with the mic or earpiece. It is rooted with a custom rom on it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone keeps making the strangest sound... it's completely random, it's not tied to any notification that I can find (and I've been searching...). It is similar to the "Calypso" tone that's built in, but deeper, minor, a bit resonant, more "crap, something's wrong with your phone" sounding. It's an ascending minor third, but not exactly. It happens a few times a day. No pattern to the times. For example, today, it happened around 11:55AM, then around 1:10PM. No emails or texts or notifications happened at those times. Like I said, I've combed through all the notifications and sounds and apps and still haven't found it. I have no way to record it because it happens so randomly.

Over the past couple of days, my phone (iphone 4) has been random vibrating and/or making various sounds. When this happens, there are no notifications. It will just sound or buzz for what seems to be no reason. Most of the time, my applications are not on. I have push on for my mail application, but that's it. The phone is in good condition, it's never been dropped or damaged in any way.

The volume bar when double clicking home button shows momentarily and then disappears and won't play music or make the type sounds or anything like that. Only plays music when a 3.5 mm jack is used an still won't play music at times. The phone is really slow and annoys me.Have tryed resetting, turning off for long periods of time and updating system software.

New user--any way to turn off keypad sound when making a manual call of person not in address book?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new user to iphone....is there any way to turn off sounds of keypad when making a manual phone call of someone not in address book?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 3GS has no sounds now except the phone ringer. I have toggled the mute switch back and forth and it makes no difference. When I go into settings for sounds I see at the top that it is marked silent. However I cannot find any way to switch that off and reset it back to sounds. The only thing that seems to work now is vibrate and the phone ring.

My BB 9630 intermittently stops making any sounds when recieving calls or messages of any kind. This has happened 3 times over the last 3 months. It happens after it has been shut down, like overnight, and is restarted. Each time, this problem eventually goes away. It's almost as if the mute button on top of the device is stuck on. When pressing that mute button, there is no indication on the phone that it is on (muted) or off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so, and with a frequency of 2 to 3 times a day, I am receiving an audible notification tone (same as I get when I recive a text message), but when I pull down the notification shade, there is no notification of any sort there.
I have checked my email and Google Now, and notifications are off. I have uninstalled all recently installed apps. I have done a soft reset.
I have been having this annoyance where the phone would play a sound (it is like the sound the lockscreen makes when you set it to swipe to unlock). I hear the sound about every hour or so, but I am trying my best to figure out how to remove it.
So far I haven't did anything to stop this from happening, I'm looking for some answers to hopefully get rid of this.... I keep thinking that it is a notification, but I don't see one of them.
I have a Lumia 920, in the last couple of days I get some notification kind of sounds from the phone, there are no toast notifications or tile alerts. Just the sounds
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter the update my Z2 keeps making notification sounds for no reason. It happens in airplane mode too, and its really getting on my nerves. I check the phone expecting to see a text message or an email or something else, but nothing is there. Ting, ting, ting until I turn the sound off and miss the calls and notifications that I actually want.

There's no message corresponding, no notifications. Just random alert sounds and i don't have Highwire set to any apps or alerts.I don't really want to remove the 10 apps or so i've installed in the past few days, i'd rather get down to the source of the problem
View 15 Replies View RelatedI purchased an iPhone 4S in October and loved it. Unfortunately, I had a persistent issue. Whoever is on the other side often reported hearing a loud chirping or screeching sound during calls. It happened frequently, too -- on about half the calls I made. Apple replaced the phone for me Tuesday, but the replacement model is doing the same thing. Is this a known issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using a flashlight (torch) app to read with for the first time, and noticed after a few minutes that the camera body became extremely hot and that the OIS (image stabilisation) had been running the whole time. When I moved the camera in certain directions it made a loud screeching noise. I hoped it would improve once cool, but unfortunately not.So I will have to send it to Nokia for service/replacement, as it's ruined the ability to take videos, and who knows how much worse it will get.
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
I downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.

I've been getting a random "No Sim" error on my iPhone 5 for quite a while. If I turn my phone off and back on again (reboot), then the error goes away. This is happening multiple times a week, and isn't associated with any behavior as far as I can tell. Just now I was in the middle of typing an IM message and the phone went into the "No Sim" error state. It never corrects itself once it is in that state, so I rebooted my phone to correct it.Â
I've popped the sim out multiple times, and everything looks good. I just can't seem to get this error to go away, and it is *really* annoying to have to reboot my phone multiple times a week as well as all of the missed phone calls and messages when this happens when the phone is in my pocket.Â
Is there anything I can do other than take my phone back to the Apple Store? I can't make the issue happen, but it happens frequently enough to be quite annoying.Â
I have an iPhone 3G that had a defective dock connector port. I replaced the whole assembly (including mic+antenna) and now I have no sound (ringers, keyboard, etc) on my device. I checked the switch (orange dot) and I've performed a soft reset and a complete restore, with no luck.
If I plug in headphones, I hear everything fine through the headphones themselves. Unplugged, back to no sound.
Ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, if there might be another part that can use replacement, please let me know.
My iphone will no longer make sounds when receiving a call, text, emai, ect. This happened after I had it paired with a Blue Ant 4S. The features continue to work fine, just no sounds. Silent mode vibrate still works.

I have an iphone 4s and the sounds have stopped working, or at least part of the sound has stopped working. I can still get a ringtone, voice mail on speaker and voice memos I can still hear. But notifications like email, messages and notifications of other apps are only working on vibrate. Occasionally, part of a tone for a message will sound. It did this several weeks ago and then all of a sudden it started working again. I'm not getting any sounds on games. I have checked all the settings several times, done hard resets, turned it off and on many times. I've done everything I can think of aside from reformatting (or whatever it's called for iphones). Has anybody had this issue? I've turned the sound switch on an off many times. When I press the volume controls, the image of the sound bell does not appear. Can't listen to music, headphone jack doesn't work either.
