For some reason, the talkback service has decided to tell me it is activated even though it is not. I have a persistent notification that won't go away. Since it's a system service, there is no way to just hide the notification.

Talkback is preventing the password from being entered. It says the letters but does not enter them into the password field. I just bought this phone and was testing out some of it's features and now I can't access the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTurn off the Google app TalkBack, the icon is a big HAND orange and white colors. This app is causing an echo when you use your Galaxy S5. Problem was, you can't hear the echo yourself, but the person you talk to will complain about an echo. I would get the echo when I went to speakerphone, but other owners may have this issue on regular speaker too, I don't know, but just turn off the TalkBack app, it's interfering.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my neo L for over a month now and decided to use the talkback app. Unfortunately, the speech function does not work only the vibrate and sounds. The phone also slows down and eventually froze. After long press and hold, I managed to go to settings>accessibility>talkback and finally turned off the app.
How can I get talkback to work? I've forced stop a lot of apps so as not to crowd my phone but i couldn't any forced stop app related to talkback. The only apps I downloaded and use are big fonts, app2sd, colornote, communication stats and playlist maker.
The call notification icon will not disappear from the notification bar not even after restart or shut down.
I mention I have closed all apps from multi tasking and it still did not disappear
I would post a screenshot but the app crashes if do that.
I am having an issue with my S5 ever since I got it. Multiple times throughout the day, I hear a notification sound (like I have a text message) but there is no notification of any sort what so ever whenever I review my phone.
I did not have the issue on my GS4, and I pretty much have all the same apps installed.
Any app that brings down the notifications by clicking on an icon rather than reaching to the top of the screen? I have always used an app called Drop Down Status Bar on my previous Android phones but for some reason it doesn't work on the GS6, so I am looking for something new. I can't find anything in the Play Store with the descriptions I have tried.

As far as I can tell it is not an indication that I have a text or email nor is it telling me that I have a missed call or voice mail. My battery is over 50% so it's not a "low battery" notification either.
My LED blinks blue for email, texts, voice mail and turns red when I charge the phone. It turns green when it's fully charged. What this pink LED is telling me.
How can I add to message notification sounds? I don't like any on the phone so would like to personalise my message alert tone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone started notifying me of SMS messages by a new pop up at the bottom of my screen. I use Hangouts and couldn't find anything in the settings in there so I switched over the the standard android messaging. I turned off all notifications and the pop up still was coming every time I received a message. This almost appears like is a system notification, since it is the same style as other pop ups. (ie: "copied to clipboard" when you take a screenshot) I have attempted to attach a screen shot of the notification. Hopefully it worked. How to disable this notification? Nothing has worked yet.

Like for Snapchat or Facebook, notifications show up on the top of the screen, but they stay way too long. And there is no way to get rid of that white box with the notification. View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the S6 when you get a notification on WhatsApp for example, the notification blocks the whole notification bar and stays there for an annoyingly long time So until the bar goes away you can't swipe down the notification bar.
What settings would I need to change in order to fix this? Maybe stop it blocking the whole notification bar every time I get a message. Sometimes I get more than one message in a row so it will be there for a long time.
Using stock email app for outlook 365 account. The only way to get the email icon to clear from the notification bar is to swipe down and hit clear. Opening the email app and reading all unread emails does not clear the notification bar.

View 2 Replies View Related I just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy S6. I am loving the phone and everything about it...except the texting app notifications. Coming from the iphone I really liked how I could keep the content of the text private, but it would show me who sent it. I also had the notification pop up in the middle of the lock screen and turn the screen on momentarily, and then I could swipe the notification to the right to open it in the texting app.
For the life of me, I can't find an app that will do exactly that. I really liked that feature. I don't want a quick response window to reply from the lock screen.
S6 Active... notification bar has started occasionally freezing... can not pull it down... requires waiting or rebooting to get it working again.

I loved it on my S3 and when I got my S6 I immediately installed it and set it up for apps like Messages, Gmail, etc. the issue is it is sporadic at best where it will sometimes show the LED notification when a message comes through, but not always.

Tried to identify by a notification logger but does not show anything, the phone just pings with no led flash... I heard its a yahoo app but I do not have yahoo account or on my phone.

I've always hated Messenger's "Chat Heads" thing, and disable it as soon as possible. I just upgraded to a Galaxy S6 edge+ though, and once I disabled Chat Heads, I started getting these irritating notification windows. They show up nomatter what I'm doing, even if it's a game or something that takes up the whole screen. I can't find any way to get rid of them short of disabling notifications for the app entirely, which I don't want to do... I want to be notified of new messages with a chime/vibration and with an icon in the top status bar, I just don't want this window appearing all over whatever I'm doing! View 24 Replies View RelatedI never had this problem with my past Nexus phones so I'd think it's a Samsung thing. But when playing music, it will mute for a good 2 seconds or so and then resume after the notification.
This is annoying but becomes even more annoying when you are in a back and forth text exchange, or in a group text. Then the music will mute and you'll hear a loud notification constantly..
How do I disable this "feature". I don't completely recall how it was on my Nexus 5 because it was implemented so perfectly that I didn't even have to think about it and never had a problem.
