Am I able to get text pop up notifications on my edge screen? It's seems that I have all the serring set up for it but it's not working. I am using Samsung default text app and have edge settings to show texts... maybe text pop up notifications are not possible.
View 5 RepliesI really like the Accuweather app. However, I find that even though i definitely want the notification at the top bar of the screen (ongoing notification), i do not want the entire bar that goes across the Lock Screen as it blocks my Lock Screen wallpaper, which I want to see. How to have the ongoing notification but not the Lock Screen notification bar across the Lock Screen wallpaper?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a voicemail and now the notification is stuck on my screen. i am not able to swipe it away and when i click and hold on it i go to the app info and the options are, set priority and hide content. Both i turned off and when i pulled down the notification bar it is still there. I have read previous posts but none apply to the s6. I read that you should do a system restart, but will that delete all the things on my phone?

I've always hated Messenger's "Chat Heads" thing, and disable it as soon as possible. I just upgraded to a Galaxy S6 edge+ though, and once I disabled Chat Heads, I started getting these irritating notification windows. They show up nomatter what I'm doing, even if it's a game or something that takes up the whole screen. I can't find any way to get rid of them short of disabling notifications for the app entirely, which I don't want to do... I want to be notified of new messages with a chime/vibration and with an icon in the top status bar, I just don't want this window appearing all over whatever I'm doing! I understand it's a different operating system, but this one is chirping every time a photo uploads. i can't seem to turn it off seperately from the rest of the notifications.
All I really want to be notified of is email and text messages, both through the native application.

How do I set my phone to be on vibrate for the ringer and to have sound with notifications.
I just bought my Samsung galaxy s6 edge 5 days ago it's been working fine up until today. When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!
Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.

I took my phone from my pocket and the screen was dark. I clicked the tab to light screen and nothing happened, Phone is charged and was working all morning. Is the phone off and if so how do I turn it back on. I have held all of the tabs on the sides of the phone and screen is still dark.

So i was using my s6 edge on the way to work and it was working fine as usual, got in and put my stuff in my locker and started work. When i had finished i went to use my phone and the screen stayed black but i have the blue LED blinking slowly so the phone must still have power.
I have tried holding the power button down for varying periods of time which done nothing also holding the power button home and volume down buttons done nothing. I have tried plugging The phone into the charger and the red LED indicating that it is charging does not turn on, it is the same result noi matter which phone charger i use or which socket i use. Also if i try plugging it directly into my pc it is not detected.
I have had this phone for a few weeks now, and today I must have hit something because there is a blue app icon on my screen that actually moves from screen to screen. I have tried to delete it or put it in the trash can.

Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.
s6 edge.When I am on homescreen 1, how can I get to homescreen 5 without having to swipe over to the right 5 times? How come I can't just swipe left 1 time and go from 1 to 5. Here I will put it another way. Instead of going through my homescreens like 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1. What if I want to go 1,2,3,4,5,1 by swiping?Or 1 straight to 5 by swiping left. Etc.

What I've tried:
* Going to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream (switched to on) > Weather (with Edge screen switched to "On")
* Going to the Weather Widget > More > Settings > Edge Screen set to on and Use Current Location set to on as well.
The odd thing is that I did see the weather show up on the edge screen just once before, but how to get it back again.
