Dec 11, 2015How to consolidate Facebook notifications on the lock screen, similar to the way the device clumps together notifications for email, texts, etc. How to not have Facebook on the lock screen but still show up in the notification center. All I seem to be able to find are ways to turn FB notifications on or off.

Oct 13, 2015Whenever I write a text message, the predictive process always suggests learned words as I begin typing a word. In my case, it is suggesting every e-mail address that my gmail has ever received an e-mail from, that has been CC'd on an e-mail I have received, or that I have sent an e-mail to.
I am looking for a way to clear ALL learned words in one shot. I know I can do it one at a time when the learned word appears, but that will take forever. There should be a way to clear all of the learned words out of my Samsung S6 Edge plus. Further, not all of the learned words even clear when I clear them individually.

Sometimes remind me of reminders on certain times (Sometimes), but on location example my address it will not. My Note 4 and google notifications always worked, location and time.
Is there something I have to turn on, or S6 doesn't do this?
Galaxy S6 Edge :: Notifications Receiving Late Or Not At All?
Aug 15, 2015I sometimes don't get notified at all of a new email and I need to refresh the gmail and or it will show on the widget but no notification on the lock screen and or sound or vibrate. I have it set to alert me for every email and it doesn't. This also happens with yahoo but not as often. I do receive notifications right away with my iPad .. Some other apps as well I am notified right away. I have done a wipe cache partition and also cached data delete. I also tried to uninstall the updates and reinstalled and nothing. I'm guessing it has to do with the apps itself because I receive all notifications right away with my texts and fb messages. A little upsetting that I've never had this issue with my iPad, it was either this phone or the iPhone 6 and now I'm having regrets. I'm running 5.1.1 with T-Mobile.

But I'm finding it difficult to add custom notifications sounds to different apps e.g. tweet-tweet for twitter, ring for email, cheer for sports app, shutter sound for Instagram etc. Also not every app shows the banner, some silently comes in system tray, some make noise. I want to control how each app notifies. How do I do that ? I'm NOT asking how to change "DEFAULT notification sound".

Jun 2, 2015When I am viewing an SMS conversation, with lets say someone named bob, and bob sends me another message, it does not beep if I am still in the bob sms window. I get no notification. To get a notification I have to back out or lock the screen each time.
Sometimes I sit my phone down waiting for a reply and when it beeps I know I have a reply. however, with the s6 I am forced to back out of mine and bob's chat window each and every time just so I can receive the notification beep again to know when he has replied. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I forced to use a 3rd party app (not preferred)

Nov 5, 2015New s6 edge+ and having trouble setting it up the way I want. When I get an e-mail (Yahoo! or Gmail) I want to see it up top on the notification line. I don't want to hear any sounds. When I get a text or other alert I DO want to both see a notification AND hear my chirp. No matter how I set it up in settings it seems as though I always get the visual notification (that's good) , but I either get sounds for everything or no sounds for everything. I can't split the sounds for just texts and alerts and no sound for email.

The Notifyer seems to be doing the trick with a fairly simple set up. Am just using the free version which doesn't have any ads but the payable version allows even greater customization like the icon etc.

May 14, 2015I factory reset the phone after i used odin to flash factory rom. Installed latest ATT update. Setup google account and again put the phone on wireless charger, after 10 mins of no activity send myself emails from different accounts from the PC and No email notifications at all with just Mobile Network only turned on. I tested this with wired charging and the result is the same.
Test condition:
1. Charge phone, wired or wireless, only turn on Mobile network, no wifi!!!
2. Leave the phone untouched and idle for 10+ mins
3. during this time no txt or phone calls otherwise it will reset the sleep flag
4. after 10+ mins of no activity send yourself emails from a desktop or another phone. You should in theory get notifications but I'm willing to be you will not.

I like to text/whatsapp while listening to music or browsing Internet. Is there a way to make the notification sound just be on top of the music without muting it?

May 27, 2015I miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!
Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.
I'm rooted, so if there's any mods out there that'll achieve this for root, let me know

Oct 14, 2015So one thing I do miss from my Note 4 was the ability to clip screenshots. You could just take out the S Pen and it would take a screenshot and you could crop it and draw on it, etc.
Then you could easily share it and it didn't save it to your device.
Back when I had the LG G2 it had similar functionality, but it was via a built in app that was easily accessed from the Notification tray.
Is there a Play Store app that would offer similar functionality. Ideally I could swipe down on the screen, and access an app. The app then would allow me to crop or draw on the pic and send it.
When I look for them in the Play Store they seem to be more focused on screen recording or something.

Jul 11, 2015I've had my s6 for about 3 months now and this is the first problem that i have encountered. So i was using my s6 edge on the way to work and it was working fine as usual, got in and put my stuff in my locker and started work. When i had finished i went to use my phone and the screen stayed black but i have the blue LED blinking slowly so the phone must still have power.
I have tried holding the power button down for varying periods of time which done nothing also holding the power button home and volume down buttons done nothing. I have tried plugging The phone into the charger and the red LED indicating that it is charging does not turn on, it is the same result noi matter which phone charger i use or which socket i use. Also if i try plugging it directly into my pc it is not detected.

Nov 9, 2015My fingerprint feature was working fine...then suddenly it wasn't. I have the same fingers today that I had yesterday. So I'm then prompted to change my password via gmail. Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.

Jun 14, 2015So I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.

Here I will put it another way. Instead of going through my homescreens like 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1. What if I want to go 1,2,3,4,5,1 by swiping?Or 1 straight to 5 by swiping left. Etc.

May 10, 2015For some reason, I cannot get the weather to show up on the edge screen along with the time and date.
What I've tried:
* Going to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream (switched to on) > Weather (with Edge screen switched to "On")
* Going to the Weather Widget > More > Settings > Edge Screen set to on and Use Current Location set to on as well.
The odd thing is that I did see the weather show up on the edge screen just once before, but how to get it back again.
