Galaxy S6 Edge :: Way To Clear ALL Learned Words In One Shot
Oct 13, 2015
Whenever I write a text message, the predictive process always suggests learned words as I begin typing a word. In my case, it is suggesting every e-mail address that my gmail has ever received an e-mail from, that has been CC'd on an e-mail I have received, or that I have sent an e-mail to.
I am looking for a way to clear ALL learned words in one shot. I know I can do it one at a time when the learned word appears, but that will take forever. There should be a way to clear all of the learned words out of my Samsung S6 Edge plus. Further, not all of the learned words even clear when I clear them individually.
When the last word in a sentence has a bubble around it (meaning I can make that word an emoji), my phone will put it there twice. Only if the word can be an emoji and it has a period after. For example, I just typed a sentence and the last word was "soon." I typed out "soon." And my phone sort of auto corrected it to "soon soon." NO matter how many times I tried deleting the second word, every time I put a period, if would add the word again.
When I type an email, sometimes it substitutes two or three letters for an email address, or a name of a contact of mine..I don't have any of this set up in shortcuts etc...it's as if those two letters are telling the device to substitute for a contact.
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge, and I am having an issue with viewing photos on the phone. When I view photos with the Photos app (google plus photos app), zooming in does not reveal any additional detail and the photo looks very blurry. When I use the built in Gallery app, however, I can zoom in and see very crisp detail in the image. I know it isn't an issue with the image itself, because I can view it fine in the Gallery app. Even in the Photos app, if I view the details of the image, it shows the full resolution of the image, but when I zoom in the photo is very blurry.
ay i have 2 active applications, do i have to go into the active applications page to clear to clear exit all applications !!what i mean is, if i go onto messaging then stop it it, still tells me on the home screen i have one active application, then i need to click on active applications and click exit
Can other phones see a Virtual Shot image? Would they be able to spin it around? Or would it be a still image? It only allows you to send it as an image file or video file to another phone
Somewhere in my Blackberry's email program is a function that remembers the email address of anyone who sends me an email. Does anyone know how to purge this information? This feature has an unintended side effect of creating confusion when I compose an email message to someone in my contacts list, in that sometimes the remembered name of someone with the same name but a different email address pops up first, and if I am not careful, I can end up sending an email to the wrong person. The problem is worsened by the fact that there is some malware out there that has gotten hold of my niece's address books and sends me spam with the names of people I know using bogus email addresses on Yahoo, and the email program offers these names when I am composing a message, sometimes before the contact record for the person I want to email to. For example, I have received a message sent by y5e4dd645c17c@yahoo.com using my daughter's name (let's call her Jane Smith). Even though this email address is nowhere in my contacts, when I start to compose a message to Jane Smith, the autocompletion shows two Jane Smiths, and I have to carefully check to ensure the address being used is janesmith@someserver.com and not the bogus address above
The entire time I've owned my S2 it has had a strange problem of not adding an apostrophe to any words, such as "don't" or "wouldn't". The only other galaxy I can check the message settings against is an S3 but everything is set up the same so is this just an S2 issue or am I missing something? It is highly annoying and even saving the correct words into the dictionary doesn't work.
Whenever I type a word with an apostrophe (I'll, we'll, Don't etc) the regular on board keyboard corrects it to something like I'I'll we'we'll and don'don't every time. I have, when I've noticed the suggestion appear, attempted to delete these words from the user dictionary but they keep coming back. I can't even find access to the entire user dictionary to delete there, just the suggestion bar.
It's very annoying as I keep getting doubled words when typing fast. It's only happening on apostrophe words and I never "taught" those words to my phone.
It's like it is trying to correct by replacing the correct word's last letter with the entire word.
I can't find an option to add words to my personal dictionary. When I tap an underlined word, it just shows more word options. I've even gone to language and input in the settings tab; the option isn't available there either.
the stock Samsung keyboard will randomly capitalize words which aren't capitalized while typing. It happens to random words in the middle of the sentence.
Since the last update (August 2015), whenever I type some letters letters (one, sometimes 2) from the beginning of the word disappear before I can finish typing the word. This causes autocomplete to think I'm typing a completely different word.
E.g., I tried to type "think" - the "t" disappeared by the time I had gotten to the "i"(despite it initially appearing initially), making the phone think that the word is starting with "h", and leading to issues when I press space (despite typing think perfectly, the phone autocorrected to the nearest matching word starting with H as "h" was now the beginning letter)
This has only been an issue since updating my phone this week. I thought it might have been the swipe function messing up, but turning that off, it's still causing me issues when I type normally.
Recently I moved from Windows Phone to Android and I cannot find a feature which I get as for granted in Windows Phone. A very simple feature - mispelled words to be redlined in Default Samsung Galaxy S6 email app, called simple "email". If I type anywhere else, I can see redline if I have mispelled word, but in email I cannot.
I unplugged my phone from my computer (it was connected as a media device), and now I am have words scrolled along the right side of my screen and the edges of my phone blink red when I select something. What this issue is and how to fix it?
So I have a 16GB Galaxy s5 and am down to 1GB of free space, though it's been less than that before and prevented updates. I thought the problem would be pictures and videos but it turns out 3GB are being used for contact storage, this is absurd because I only have 236 contacts. I do have it connected to my FB so I have contact photos on most, but that still seems like a ridiculous amount of space. I've had the phone for about a year and I clear cached data regularly because of the space issue. What do I do? Do I need to delete the contact photos? And if so how? Is there some sort of cloud storage I could use to get the data off my phone?
I know some people are not aware that they can clear out cached data (for All Apps). Is it good to clear it out daily? I do realize that you may need to download the same data again say if you are using apps like Facebook and Zedge and many others.
I'm on Verizon with my S5 and just updated to Lollipop. I was able to clear my clipboard on KitKat 4.4.4 by taping my phone icon then long press on the open space on the phone. I had the options to clear the whole clipboard or just the items you wanted. So how do you now clear the clipboard on Lollipop? Tried the way I always did it (as stated above) and nothing shows up.
I can't even update apps on on my Verizon Galaxy S5. I uninstalled several apps to try to free up room, but I'm still getting "insufficient space" errors. Photos and videos are going to direct to SD card (unless I'm doing it wrong, but I see the SD card indicator). Is there a quick way to tell which app may be putting too much data on the phone rather than the SD card? Or where space is being taken up that can be freed or moved?
I'm trying to clear my phone storage but it won't let me access the gallery?I have a fullstorage on my Galaxy S6 32G, and I'm really trying to clear a lot of photos which are about 6,000... the problem is, that every time I log onto the gallery app, it atomically tells me I have to clear my files and redirects me to the files app, where it tells me the same thing any time I click on any photo. It's telling me to clear filea while not allowing me to see any, how can I?
