I took my phone from my pocket and the screen was dark. I clicked the tab to light screen and nothing happened, Phone is charged and was working all morning. Is the phone off and if so how do I turn it back on. I have held all of the tabs on the sides of the phone and screen is still dark.
View 5 RepliesSo all of the pre-installed lock screen wallpapers come up in full color when you unlock the device. Now when I set up my own lock screen wallpaper it basically fades to the background and is very dark and almost black. The clock and camera, phone icons are bright like normal. Is this the way it's suppose to be? Do I maybe need to move the wallpaper I want to use to where the lock screen wallpapers are?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!
Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.
I'm rooted, so if there's any mods out there that'll achieve this for root, let me know
I mean it's weird. You pick a beautiful wallpaper for your lock screen and then apply it and then you open the phone up to that lock screen image and it looks like someone put a heavy gray filter over your beautiful picture.
Why? -- and more importantly, is there any way to get your selected lock screen wallpaper to show up without this dark filtering?
So I've had my T-Mobile Galaxy S6 for 9 days and I noticed a dark shadow or spot on the right side of the screen. I thought it was the lens or the plastic film covering the lens. I was wrong and it appears the issue is with the sensor itself. T-Mobile is sending me another unit.
This is an expensive piece of tech. So make sure you check everything the first days you own it to ensure you are not stuck with a defected one.
This only happens when I leave it in the car over night. The phone will be dark and won't restart unless I remove and replace the battery.
This does not happen if I bring it in the house and let it sit. Battery level shows around 50% this morning after leaving in the car overnight but the same story, can turn on unless the battery is removed.
I have the zero lemon battery extender in it.
I just wanted to ask if there is some app or something to make my edge glow while screen off.

Enough to put anyone in a great mood.Fixing the screen isn't the problem though. 02 have agreed to fix it for me, for a small fee, but they have confirmed that the whole phone will be flashed before hand. So i was using my s6 edge on the way to work and it was working fine as usual, got in and put my stuff in my locker and started work. When i had finished i went to use my phone and the screen stayed black but i have the blue LED blinking slowly so the phone must still have power.
I have tried holding the power button down for varying periods of time which done nothing also holding the power button home and volume down buttons done nothing. I have tried plugging The phone into the charger and the red LED indicating that it is charging does not turn on, it is the same result noi matter which phone charger i use or which socket i use. Also if i try plugging it directly into my pc it is not detected.
I have had this phone for a few weeks now, and today I must have hit something because there is a blue app icon on my screen that actually moves from screen to screen. I have tried to delete it or put it in the trash can.

Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.
s6 edge.When I am on homescreen 1, how can I get to homescreen 5 without having to swipe over to the right 5 times? How come I can't just swipe left 1 time and go from 1 to 5. Here I will put it another way. Instead of going through my homescreens like 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1. What if I want to go 1,2,3,4,5,1 by swiping?Or 1 straight to 5 by swiping left. Etc.

What I've tried:
* Going to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream (switched to on) > Weather (with Edge screen switched to "On")
* Going to the Weather Widget > More > Settings > Edge Screen set to on and Use Current Location set to on as well.
The odd thing is that I did see the weather show up on the edge screen just once before, but how to get it back again.
I don't miss a lot of things about my moto x, but I do miss that you could access the home screen by just pressing the power/side button, so long it was within the time frame that the screen automatically locked. Is there a way to do that on the galaxy s6? I hate to have to swipe the lock screen every time, if I need to access the phone again within the period that the screen does not automatically lock.

I know how to pick calls since I just have to swipe at the bottom so I know the touch works and everything works. I get notification tones too. I tried to shut it off and maybe start it again but I don't know how to do it since i'll have to confirm by tapping the screen which I cant see anything on.
I have done the volume keys and home key tricks. phone restarts perfectly but with a blank / black screen like before. it was hot but now cool. screen is still off. I left to charge earlier before the fateful call so I don't know if maybe its over charged. but it seems everything is working but I cant see anything on my screen. its as if the phone has been switched off screen wise.
! My wifes edge 6 has a strange problem when taking pictures...every time she takes a picture the first one is just a green screen then takes a fine one.

The past few weeks whenever I make a call the call screen disappears. The bar at the top of the screen is green and my call is still active, but dragging down the screen shows no menu to hang up, mute, or speaker like it did in the past. Also I hit the recent programs button and there's no window for my call. I hit the phone button and there's nothing. The call will still show up in the log once we hang up. I literally cannot hang up without shutting off my phone. I can't mute my microphone or toggle speakerphone.
