Wireless sync only works when I unlock phone. Is there a way to tell itunes my phones unlock code? Itunes tries to sync all night and posts 50 unknown errors. I unlock the phone and it syncs. I dont want my phone sitting around without a lock code but with wireless sync I cant find a place to tell itunes my code so it can sync? Any help is appreciated... Ray O

One of our users has Outlook contacts with multiple phone numbers (work, mobile etc.).His Blackberry is only synching the primary "work" phone number.we use wireless sync, on a BES.Some of his contacts appear to have come across with multiple numbers, but some not.

I recently bought a TruPhone international sim card for use overseas as Verizon's global roaming rates are criminal. I met all the requiremnts to have VZW unlock the phone and contacted them. They tried of course to scam me into activating their ripoff international sim but eventualy agreed to unlock the sim card as they are required by US to do. The problem is they told me that all they really do is send a request to Apple who then unlocks the phone through iTunes. I followed their directions and synced the phone through iTunes but it hasn't unlocked. I contacted VZW and they said there's nothing else they can do. They show my account as having been unlocked and blamed Apple. truPhone confirmed that they are having troube with VZW Apple products as far as getting them unlocked.

I recently moved and since then, I am experiencing now signal at my new house. I called TMO several times and they have issued several work tickets, all coming back saying there was a problem with the towers but has been resolved. I am still experiencing the same problem.
I was informed that I could get a wireless router for my home so I would get great signal. i would just have to hook it up to my computer and then whenever I am home, my phone will go through that for signal, hence giving me 5 bars as opposed to the 1 bar and constant switching between 3g, edge and gprs.
I guess I really don't understand how that works, what kind of router to by and if I will be charged anything extra from TMO for using that.
So my phone got water damage, and the screen no longer works. It still functions but I have to use siri for everything. So i just decided to buy a new one. I wanted to back up my phone to itunes on my computer so I can put the new stuff on my computer, but since it wont let me back it up if i have no pass code for the iPhone, and clearly i cant enter it because my screen is not functioning. Is there a way i can open my phone with out touching it or enter the code in on itunes? Without touching the touch screen? oh and it's still asking me for the code on the last computer I backed up to.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Tylt Vu at home and at work, and they charge my phone relatively quickly from ~70% to 100% without issue daily in the case.
The other day I put my phone on the home one at ~40% and picked it up hours later and it hadn't charged at all (probably lost a few %, I forget). I thought it was a fluke but yesterday I had the same thing at work when the battery was between 50-60%.
I've seen the issue at home at the tylt vu charger stayed constant green like it was charging. Yesterday at work, it was blinking in loops in red and putting it in day dream (while plugged in) seemed to correct the issue. Daydream stops notifications from showing up though and isn't what I want. I like the ACDisplay app blinking notifications at me MotoX style, especially at work.
So far when having the issue I've tried
- rebooting the phone
- rebooting the wireless charger
- the vu charger has a proprietary cable, so I can't use the Samsung one on it
- took phone out of case to ensure it wasn't a case issue
- installed latest update from VZ (wifi calling one), just to say I have latest updates

I have an iPhone 4s and a Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with itunes 10.60 (40) running .I have ticked the option in itunes to sync my iphone over wireless. The iphone is connected OK via my wifi network
When I plug the iphone into the mains charger (not connected via USB to the Mac) the sync over wireless does not start. If I go into settings - general - itunes wifi sync on the iphone and chosse to manually start the sync, the sync works fine. But it just will not start automatically when I plus the iphone into the charger,I was under the impression t was supposed to start automatically?

For a long time I have just been syncing to outlook on my desktop. Now my job requires that I have wireless sync to the online calendar at work. Only my calendar syncs wirelessly. I can still sync notes, tasks, contacts to outlook.I would like to be able to do at least a one-way sync from device to outlook. I tried temporarily disabling the wireless sync on the calendar, but it didn't work.So, in a nutshell, how can I wirelessly sync to my work calendar, AND desktop sync to outlook at home.

The touchscreen didnt respond and the Small white menu (with the music,web,share icons ) kept popping up if i moved my phone a little bit..(it really annoys)I did a Soft Reset as well as a Hard Reset Nothing worked out. View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my phone in May 2011, and for the very first time was able to sync my phone contacts with my facebook contacts. As a bit of a socialite, this was perfect! I was able to see status updates from my contacts list, i was able to see their profile pictures flash on screen if they phoned, texted or emailed, and I was able to even see status updates from my contacts too.
Anyway, a few days ago i downloaded an updated FB app from Marketplace. All was still fine, and contacts in syn. Then earlier today i accidentally logged out of the FB app and it took all the connected info betwene my contacts and FB with it.
I have since logged back in and resynced my contacts. However... no longer are the profile pictures connected (I usually recognise calls, emails and texts by the photo not the name), i cant see facebook related information, and I just dont like it I've played around with all the options of views, syncs, and options etc but to no avail.
My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used the iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) for more than a year now with only minor issues. Like on a usual day I was playing a word game "Rumble" then quit the game, connected my earphones for music & pressed the "Home" button on the phone to unlock it and the screen was Black. This was a sudden shocker!! . I just put the phone to rest for a while & after about an hour crossed my fingers and tried the Home button again but the Black screen continued. So the backlight of the iPhone works I can say that bcoz I see the phone luminates but the "Slide to Unlock" is cannot be seen. Since I have been using the phone for a while I know the exact position of "Slide to Unlock" so if I slide my finger it unlocks too with the default "unlocking (click) noise" but again the icons of the apps cannot be seen, all I see is a fadely luminated grid. I receive SMS's and Calls although I cant read them nor can I see whos calling. Since the screen is blank I cant operate the phone but the phone seems to be working. I hence tried the reboot, restart, shutdown & start again, restore backup, update iOS everything a desperate user would do but nothing has worked till now. There is not much discussion on this issue anywhere hence No resolution. I am gonna visit an Apple service center today and keep my fingers crossed. I have taken utmost care of the phone. Till date it is scratchless, spotless.

I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

I have just recieved a replacement and successfully completed all necessary transfers except for one thing. I cannot synchronise Outlook calendar or tasks properly. I am asked to go to the device, go to options, and turn off wireless snc. Problem is, there the options menu does not have a box for wireless sync.

1. that email always show "not available" on wireless sync on the contact list properties. while my Gmail email has option yes/no wireless sync.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago there was a software update to BlackBerry Desktop which now precludes me from synching the new Contacts from my Outlook on computer to the device (Torch9810).
I have tried unsuccessfully to turn off wireless snchronization but this device doesn't have that option. I went to Contacts --> Options --> Synchronization but the only alternative there is to uncheck AT&T Address Book Automatic Synchronization.
It doesn't import new Contacts either way (checked or not). Used to before the software update I relunctantly downloaded. But not now.

When ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
