I just bought the new Z2, it was great until I can't sync or back up my data to my laptop. My laptop is using Window 7 and I have updated the phone to 17.1.1.A0.402 version. Beside that I also updated the Sony PC Companion, yet nothing can I do to sync or back up to my laptop even y using wifi or usb cable (original from the box). My laptop also can't detect the Z2 device too.

However the connecting does not keep, especially if i try to move items from one folder to another, it simply disconnects and doesnt reconnect unless I do it manually.
This is preventing me from doing anything that MTP has to offer so it is actually a pretty useless application for me.
I have made sure my phone doesnt go idle during this time so it's not that.
When connecting my X10 to my laptop via a USB cable it charges the phone but doesnt allow me to mount the phone to do file transfers, I have downloaded PC companion and it still cant recognise the phone, is the driver file readily available? The USB cable works fine but I acnt see the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I am streaming a music on my XPERIA Z2 phone using THROW option onto my HP laptop, immediately xperia z2 bluetooth player pops up in my laptop showing progress of music but sound does not come from the player that is frustrating because everything with this throw option is ok except this sound issue.
I thought there might be some issue with my laptop so I tried my phone THROW option with other laptop also, there also the same problem is occurring. Other android phones like Lenovo, MI1s, even they do not have this THROW option, this problem is not occurring when I am streaming music from these phone onto my Laptop having simply turned on bluetooth in these phones.
Yesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried almost everything there is to try from clean uninstall including deleting files in the registry folders etc etc of all DMs reboot and reinstall. still my DM 6 will not detect my phone but my windows has no problem seeing my phone.I had to uninstall everything and go back to DM5 that worked flawlessly. Fact that it works on DM5 allows me to rule out any hardware malfunction.
Lastly i noticed that there are users out there with this problem also have difficulty closing the DM6. whenever we try to close it, it will just hang there and we have to manually close it using task manger. I hope that the details given will be able to help technical support troubleshoot some sort of solutions.
I am perfectly fine with using DM5 but my future plan is to change my phone to the BB Torch. And with this current problem i wont be able to get my torch to work on DM6 on my computer. I hope that we can get some sort of solution. I am running windows XP sp3
I recently purchased Torch 9860. Last sunday i was travelling, suddenly cell lost the network connection and switched off. when rebooted it showing "error 102 Reload Software", I tried to connect this device with Desktop manager as per the solutionds given on BB website but Desktop manager is not able to detect the phone, and i am unable to do anything since there are not software update for OS 7 yet.

So i connected it and ran the update, it said after updating i could restore my contacts and messages. ( Earlier that day we updated our macbook to the osx lion and moved our moble me account to the icloud)
I was not given the option to "restore contacts, messages, information" ( As is customary when updating my iphone)
Note: After the update was complete, ( updated to 4.2.1) IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 5.1. (BUT that may be because I have an old 3G iphone??)
Then all it offered me was syncing options, so I "sync"ed "it". Now, all my iphone messages, contacts, phone history, purchased apps...... are "GONE'

I bought my Sony Experia Neo V a couple of weeks back. I upgraded to ICS immediately after I bought it. I even installed the new ICS update that I received as a prompt on my phone today morning. I use a Samsung bluetooth headset to take conference calls when I drive. My phone is not able to detect the bluetooth headset. Not sure of the reason for the same. But I am able to pair my phone with my laptop. It even paired with a Samsung Galaxy Fit phone. Both occasions, it took a very long time to detect the devices though. In the case of the bluetooth headset, the phone does not detect the device inspite of keeping it close to each other for more than 5-10 mins.
