My X10 does not detect any wifi. I tried at my place and my friend's place. The router is working for sure because the wifi is working for my laptop and ipod touch, so pretty sure it's not the router's problem. The phone used to detect wifi no problem, this issue just started this month. I tried reinstalling the software but still couldn't fix it.

I use to connect so seamlessly before but now my Torch don't want to do wifi no more. I get a message saying "fail to obtain IP address" or cannot connect for some other reason I have never had before. View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore updated to iOS 5.1 and iTunes 10.6, there was no problem for iTunes to detect my phone in order to perform wifi sync, but after updated to the latest firmware for both platforms, the issue occured. iTunes couldn't detect my iPhone even though both were under same wifi network. I ever sync via wifi before, so I've done those settings. Now when the issue occur, I need to reboot the iPhone, then it works again. The issue happened each day. Very frustrating and unreliable and inconsistance. My Mac iTunes has no problem to detect the iPad2 (OS 5.0). The problem only happen to my iPhone (OS 5.1). No such thing happen before during OS 5.0.

I bought my iPhone last week from a friend, and took it to the AT&T store and it connected to the wifi there. When I brought it home it didn't even detect my network unless I was standing right next to my dad's computer, which is above our router. It will connect in any other area with wifi, just not at home. I have tried restoring it from a recent back up, and as a new phone. I have turned it on and off, I have tried resetting the network settings. Nothing works. I don't the taking it to the genius bar would be much help because my phone is out of warranty and I don't want to pay $200.00.

My Lenovo laptop did not connect either until another techy said look at LAN settings. I checked automatically detect settings on the laptop and was connected through to the Internet.I do not see a similar function on the phone and droid. Since I was in Europe at the time, WiFi was better than network data usage ($$$).Is there a setting in the Droid & Xoom?

I even installed the new ICS update that I received as a prompt on my phone today morning. I use a Samsung bluetooth headset to take conference calls when I drive. My phone is not able to detect the bluetooth headset. Not sure of the reason for the same. But I am able to pair my phone with my laptop. It even paired with a Samsung Galaxy Fit phone. Both occasions, it took a very long time to detect the devices though. In the case of the bluetooth headset, the phone does not detect the device inspite of keeping it close to each other for more than 5-10 mins.

My laptop is using Window 7 and I have updated the phone to 17.1.1.A0.402 version. Beside that I also updated the Sony PC Companion, yet nothing can I do to sync or back up to my laptop even y using wifi or usb cable (original from the box). View 5 Replies View RelatedI normally use gps with data traffic off, and in open sky. Have two navigation apps installed: google maps and CoPilot Live Premium. Have used both of them without any issues before (on Xperia ray), position used to be determined in a matter of few tens of seconds from first start. If I try to use any navigation app now, it simply cannot detect the position. Remarkably, it does see the gps signal, but no matter how long I wait, position remains to be undetermined. To investigate the issue further, I have installed the GPS test app. It shows clearly from 7 to 12 sattelites in use, but position remains to be undetermined! I should add that with GPS test it becomes clear that the number of visible (and usable) sattelites time after time drops down to 1 or 2 without any reason, just for a second or so, and then again jumps to 7-12... I saw some claims in the internet, that this problem has to do with AGPS, but I am not expert in this and so far I haven't found any good solution to the problem.

When I go to settings -> connectivity and then select wifi, it searches connection for a while and then shows that none are found. Meanwhile, my old Nokia E72 remains connected to my home wifi without any problem... I am really surprised and disappointed. Also when I try to set up the connection manually, it doesn't work at all.I can't believe that such a device is being sold, a wifi connection is something extremely necessary nowadays in a smartphone. I was so attached to Nokia but I feel like it is my last Nokia phone because this is just unbelievable
