Sep 8, 2010I attempted a jailbreak through jailbreakme.com but it didn't work and bricked the phone. So I restored to factory settings which put 4.0.2 on my phone. No biggie it wasn't that big of a deal to jailbreak anyway so I was just going to go back to my old settings on 4.0.2.
Unfortunately it backed up again real quick after updating and now when I want to restore from the backup it just gives me factory settings. I do have a big 8gb backup dated from before the jailbreak fiasco in MobileSync>Backup but I have no clue how to get it onto my phone.

Aug 9, 2010I just upgraded the software to version 4.5 and in doing so lost all my photos and addresses. I see that a backup file was created (named LoaderBackup-(2010-08-08).ipd) that now resides on my computer. Is there a way for me to access this file to restore photos and addresses, etc? I'm willing to go back to the previous software version to do this.

Because when I sync using iTunes 10.6.1 the Address Book in the iMac doesn't get updated and since the iCloud's Contacts depend on what's on OS X's Address Book, that doesn't get updated as well.

Jan 12, 2010I have a new iPhone 3GS and the only way to jailbreak is to have it be a tethered jailbreak. I want to jailbreak my phone right now, but I also want the option to restore my iPhone to exactly how it is right now and delete the jailbreak. I sync my Iphone to my MacBook Pro right now. So is there a way I can manually save a backup file to restore my iPhone to how it is right now and reverse the jailbreak? I know after I jailbreak it will automatically erase the current backup and replace it with one that has Blackra1n or whatever on it.
