after i updated my iphone 4 to OS5 i cant directly access my camera from home screen. the doubleclick on the homebutton just makes the camera icon "jump" up & down but no access to the camera. any help?

I've upgraded to v6 today from v5. In v5 I had simply turned off the 'dial from home screen' option & was able to use keys to directly access my apps. For eg I would press 'M' to open messages or 'N' for BBM, 'U' for calculator etc. I can't seem to do this any more in v6.

since I updated to 2.1 any long press on home screen or corner icons goes directly to edit either widgets or icons depending wich screen I have up. This is anoying because many times I press just a little too long and for example end up in the edit icons mode instead of opening messages like I wanted to.
Is there anyway to get this as it was on 1.6? Long press didnt open edit, the only way to open edit was trough menu key.
Is there any way to place an icon on the homescreen which opens directly to a webpage. For example, I don't use the Facebook application due to preferring the mobile web based version but would like to open directly from the homepage if possible without opening the browser and selecting the bookmark.
If so how do I do it, if not is it possible to access the speed dials direct from the home screen and if so how?

I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)

I don't have quick access to my camera from the lock screen on my new iphone 4s. When double quick on the home button, I have the symbol for the camera but it does not respond when tapping on it. The camera button has two small bars above and two below, every time I tap on it, the lock screen jumps slightly, but no access. From the lock screen i however have access to my music volume. I upgraded from Galaxy S3 to S6 (SM-G920F). I'm running it with the WanamLite Rom, which by the way I find very cool.On my S3 I was able to access a specific home screen panel directly by tapping the corresponding dot in the home screen. On the S6 it seems this is not possible anymore and you are forced to swipe. Is there any way (setting/mod/customization) to have the home screen panel dots to behave as they used to?

I figured this maybe a simple case of reloading the firmware but I wanted to know id nyone else had any insights.
Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?
I seem to be unable to access the Help Function from the home screen without having to complete a hard reset each time. The device is new and I suspect that I have a setting incorrectly placed but I have checked the obvious ones and am stuck.

It shows that new emails have arrived, but when I click on the icon - nothing happens. Just stays on the home screen. I can access emails by going Menu-Installations-email, but this is a bit of a faff!

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just bought the Iphone 4S. I selected the option to have the screen locked after 5 minutes of non usage, with a code. When the phone goes into locked mode, it does not ring when people call me, instead they get directed instantly to my voice mail.
To avoid this, I've then selected the "never" option on the locking mode, so that the screen never gets locked : the calls do come through & ring, but the downside is that the screen remains lit, never goes dark, consuming batteries really quickly...
