How to get the quick access camera on the lock screen?New to android, have played with all the settings. everyone other S5 have a quick access to their camera on the lockscreen besides mine.

When double quick on the home button, I have the symbol for the camera but it does not respond when tapping on it. The camera button has two small bars above and two below, every time I tap on it, the lock screen jumps slightly, but no access. From the lock screen i however have access to my music volume. Is the camera access locked?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to the Galaxy S5 (I've defected from the 'other side'!) and updated the OS to Lollipop. There's apparently a new feature which allows you to access things like the flash light, wifi etc from the lock screen (Screen shot below). But I'm swiping down on the lock screen and nothings happening. Is this something that needs turning on in settings somewhere? I've been hunting round on the net and whiles there's plenty of articles covering the new feature, theres nothing on how to enable it.....if it needs enabling.

I have a lock code on my iPhone 4 s & since i have just updated the software today to iso 5.1, I cant access the camera via this short cut. The camera icon is on the bottom right hand side (next to (Slide to unlock) but when I press it, it just bounces & does not open the camera. Is this a bug or do I need to configure this somewhere within settings?

The button is there but when i press it the camera will not open. The screen "jumps' a bit and appears to try to open the camera but it won't.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have trusted voice enabled so saying "OK google" should unlock my screen but it doesn't. This is difficult when I am trying to set an alarm. I don't feel like picking my phone up and having to use my fingerprint to unlock the screen and accept the alarm.
try to confirm that it doesn't or does unlock their lock screen on the s6? I am on the latest software.
I am unable to get the camera to work from the lock screen. I have the icon in the lower right side and it makes those rings like it is activating but it does nothing. Also have the phone icon also and the same thing happens there too.

I want to remove the camera shortcut form my new Samsung Galaxy S6 which is running android version 5.0.2.
I go to settings, personal and then to lockscreen and security and there is nothing. I browse and there is nothing.
I also would like to have to type in my PW before answering the phone which means I want to remove that shortcut too form the lockscreen.
Is there any way to turn off the shortcuts for the camera and the phone because that is an easy way to gain access to the phone and bypass the fingerprint unlock feature!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI restarted my phone and it is on the lock screen with a 4 digit pin to unlock it, the problem is that has switched the default keyboard to the voice keyboard (I think it's called Google Now).
I can't access settings or the app drawer. Restarting it the phone still needs the pin. I have 'said' the pin, 'said' it followed by 'enter' or 'return' but it's not working.
The phone also turned off my ringer for some reason when it restarted ....
A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
I dropped my phone I've had for the past 2 years for the last time. I need to access my contacts but I guess when it hit the ground the face buttons got disconnected so I can't do anything at all. I'm due to get my new phone this tuesday and I have a couple hundred contacts, most are important. What should I do? I've tried syncing it and backing it up but that's only for the media card. I can't access the device memory to get into the contacts. I also have like a bajillion texts left unchecked.

I was wondering if there's any way to access search from the lock screen - the Jelly Bean FAQs mention that it's possible to access voice search by "swiping up on the lock screen", but that doesn't seem to work. Is it just not possible with the Razr HDs software, or am I missing something very obvious?
I've forgot the screenlock pin of my Sony Xperia Z2, the smartphone is stock so i don't have the bootloader unlocked so i can't go in recovery mode.
From Sony PC Companion i can't do nothing because i must unlock the phone.
From Flashtool i can't do nothing because i have USB Debug Mode set to OFF and i can't enable it if i can't unlock the smartphone. Otherwise if I can set the phone in Flashmode or Fastboot Mode.
I did a yesterday a factory reset on my LG g3 because I had some problems with it. And today when I wanted to take a quick picture I couldn't find the Camera shortcut which was usually in the right low corner... I looked thru the setting but I couldn't find anything. (My phone is running the 5.0 lollipop because for the T-Mobiles phones the 5.1 update is not out yet). how I can get that shortcut back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't like this feature to be unlocked, that is why I have a passcode on my iPhone. Now, whenever my you daughter is able to get her hands on it, she fills up the memory space with random pictures. This feature would not be bad if it had the option to disable.

Sidenote: What was Apple thinking with this feature? avoid a couple of taps before being able to access the camera. Having it available on the lock screen defeats security. I prefer security.
