Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Click The App Drawer And The Searching Circle Goes Around And Round And Then The Home Screen Will Close?
Nov 29, 2012I was wanting to know if anyone had an issue with the home screen stopping. I have over 800 apps on my phone and wondered if maybe it was that with the app draw trying to refresh and it taking too long. When I did a search people were having this problem with only having 20 or less added apps to their phone. Some even had this problem after having their phone refreshed. I can run the phone for days and use it with no problem and nothing and then out of the blue there it goes. I click the app drawer and the searching circle goes around and round and then the home screen will close and go to the last app or web page I was on and it could be one from a few days ago. I erase all the previous history and when the home screen closes it just refreshes the home screen. The only thing I can do is reboot and wait about 10 or so minutes and its all good till the next time. The question I am wondering is what is causing this. I had someone comment on links or widgets on the homescreen might be causing it. I removed some and it does not happen as much

Ever since the motorola update on friday, 2/17 I cannot open 2 email accounts (bellsouth and godaddy) They both disappeared from my email icon and altough they are listed in My accounts they have a new green icon next to the name and underneath the email address it says com.motorola.blur.provider.email. The update didn't effect my gmail account. I have spoke to several Verizon reps and a Motorola rep after removing sims card, turning off and on and several soft resets nothing has worked. When I held down the email name in My Accounts it forces close. It says the application My Accounts (process com.motorola setup)has stopped unexpectedly pease try again.

Feb 7, 2012I have been using Atrix for about 6 months now and have suddenly faced an issue. If I press the search button while browsing through applications, I get the following error:"The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After I am forced to "force close" this, automatically all recently used (probably running) apps get started. To elaborate on the problem. It occurs every time I perform following steps.
1. I'm on the home screen
2. Press the Apps button (to view all installed apps)
3. Press the search button
Effects:
1. Error pop-up : Application Home has stopped unexpectedly (Exact message given above)
2. Click on "Force Close" button on the error popup
3. Screen blanks out for a couple of seconds and the home screen reappears. In case any other applications are running in the background originally, then all those apps start ie they occupy the screen (instead of home screen).
Motorola Photon 4G :: After Update, Home Application Fails?
Aug 28, 2011After the recent update was push to my phone... My Home applicaion fails to start in an endless cycle. No matter what happens the home application attempts to start and fails. The only way to stop the loop is to just let the phone sit there with error message box displayed.I have wiped and factor reset the device twice and get the same result with the excpetion that now the only way to shutdown the phone is pull the battery.I have another Photon that updated just fine. Is there any hope... Can I download the update to my computer, transfer to update to SD and update via SD card. As of right now I do not know where to get the update from.

That way, I can use my long distance provider, that requires the user to call their number, wait for the prompt, then enter the long distance number I wish to dial. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any way to do this on my new phone, as the phone numbre imput pad only allows for numbers and nothing else (the pause would normally be a comma or the letter p).

Dec 4, 2012In the three weeks since using my device the motorola contacts software has been losing name to number associations such that following a new contact entry the name associated to the number RANDOMLY breaks meaning I am losing names from my contacts but the number string remains in my call log. This has happened to approximately 20% of new entries. The same process has been followed each time. The number/name can be re-inputted subsequently and the problem does not repeat. No pattern is followed it just happens- its not time dependent either... I'm baffled and losing contacts?
