Motorola RAZR I Home :: Flash Player Not Supported?
Dec 5, 2012Am not finding a version of flash that is happy to run on this device. Os is android 4.0.4, on an XT90 handed. Am I just being daft and over complicating this?

Jun 29, 2012Does anyone have any ideas about why Moto might have decided to kill Flash on our phones before it was necessary? It's not an ICS thing, because my GNex still has Flash and it works well. I know that Adobe will not be allowing new downloads from the Play Store starting on 8/15 (but they will still be providing bug fixes for those who already have it) & that Flash Player is not supported in Jelly Bean, but what gives with Moto killing Flash in our ICS update? Now, whenever I visit a page that has an embedded Flash video in the browser, it crashes the browser. :(
Addl. details: Basically, when you upgrade, the Adobe Flash Player app gets uninstalled from your phone. If you reinstall it from the Play Store, it won't work for embedded videos on websites. Unfortunately, many websites still use Flash for their embedded videos. :( Hopefully websites will start switching over to HTML5. This isn't just a bug.. there is an actual process running on the phone called FlashRemoval that Moto slapped in there. I expect to get Jelly Bean ASAP, since Moto prepared the phone for not having Flash so early. ;)

Feb 17, 2012Does the motorola lazr support a second line? I have a SIM card that has two lines on it. When inserted in the Razr only the first line rings through. The second line rings busy. Any ideas or thoughts? I am on Rogers network. It worked fine in my old Samsung A436.Update Feb 25th. Rogers Cellular informs me that the RAZR does not support a second line. If anyone knows, is this a hardware deficiency or is it an Android OS issue? I was told older versions of Samsung Android phones did support the second line feature.

May 23, 2011the motorola cliq with motoblur needs to be updated to to android 2.2 froyo because the eclair update still has flaws i and i am going to list those flaws right now right here.
1. when i updated my motorola cliq to eclair android 2.1 i could not turn off safe search filtering because that option was grayed out so i logged into my Internet account but it's still grayed out!
2. the video player on the cliq cant watch certain non flash videos because i thinks the video has high resolution but i think that when that happens the cliq should be able to reduce the resolution to its supported resolution.
3. for some videos on Internet i cant turn on high quality because of the error message. sorry the video could not be played.
4. the cliq now runs android 2.1 update1 but as soon as i go in the market i click apps then i scroll down to live wallpapers but as soon as i download and install and then open the live wallpaper it says sorry but your device currently does not support live wallpapers but you can get suppor via upgrade so motorola needs to work on getting live wallpaper support for the motorola cliq with motoblur.
5. the google earth app is missing from the android market on the cliq that needs to be fixed.
6. and i don't like the fact that i have to go to my task manager when i want to close my browser there should be an exit button with in the browser so that i can close it manually. i'm not saying to get rid of the task manager i'm just asking for more manual convenient ways to exit apps.
7. and it needs adobe flash player 10.1 support i don't want it to be preinstalled i just want it to be supported also needs the latest javascript preinstalled.
8. hey and this is just a thought the cliq may have mobi television.
9. this is another thought the cliq should have 12 home screens.
10. the motorola music widget is not resizable is needs to be.

Feb 4, 2010As the title suggests, I have a US Cellular branded Razr V9m that I want to flash to use the Sprint Firmware. I got a copy of the sprint monster firmware (decrypted).I also found the Mark_Venture guide detailing how to flash the VZW Monster firmware to this model.However, I see that there are a few Verizion-specific things that need to be done in order to make this go...I assume that some of these may not be necessary to make mine work on the sprint network.
So, I was hoping that someone else out there may have done this successfully and could give me a few pointers so as to help me avoid bricking a phone I just started working with.Once flashed with the Sprint FW, I should be able to contact them and have service switched to the new phone, right?

May 25, 2010I have used the search feature and been unable to find any information on this so if it is posted elsewhere I apologize. I have a Verizon Razr V3m that I would like to flash to Metro PCS. I am completely new to this process and need very easy to follow directions on how to do this. I do have slightly better than average computer skills so have a good understanding of how to do things.
Basically I need to know what program is best to download to do this, what the steps are to complete the process and what I should know before I start, ie: how to back up files from the phone that I am flashing, which files to back up, etc.

Jul 1, 2012since ics i can no longer control flash video on the web (sites like blip.tv). the video plays fine but i can't full screen it nor can i access the video controls (pause, stop, position)on the web, when you go to you tube, the video has controls at the bottom (play/pause, volume, and the status bar showing where you are in the clip) and when you full screen it, they're still there. on gb when you went to a flash video and hit play, the video would automatically full screen with the status bar on the bottom (status bar being the time counter showing how much you've played, what is left and your position.) on ics now when you play a video it simply plays on the page with no access to the controls or the ability to full screen the clip.
with Internet i obviously have an app but with web content (news, and blip.tv) it not possible as far as i can tell. sometimes i wanna pause and fast forward or rewind and that ability is now gone.lip.tv is the big one for me, i watch a lot on there. but when i go there now on my phone, chrome won't play at all and the stock brower shows the little cinema logo. when i click the logo, the video plays fine but small and still embedded in the web page. i can't pause or stop without leaving the page, i can't fast forward or rewind and i have have no time counter to know my video position. it's extremely frustrating. and double-tapping does nothing. on gingerbread this was simply automatic. you hit play and it goes fullscreen, you have the video position bar at the bottom (slider that let's you ff or rewind) and a ply/pause button. they would disappear after while and come back with a tap
Motorola Droid Razr :: Flash No Longer Works In ICS?
Jul 15, 2012I am not at all happy with ICS. To me, the upgrade to ICS is a nothing more than a bunch of pretty colors and a few new animations. In actuality, however, I think that the upgrade delivered little in terms of improvements. In fact, I wish I could undo the upgrade and go back two weeks, to a time in which I felt the Razr Maxx was virtually flawless and was the best phone I ever had.Elsewhere in this owner's forum I have written about the way in which business contact names are now scrambeled in the contact list. Others are having problems with battery life, overheating, poor navigation, etc. However, the biggest failure of the ICS upgrade, as I see it, is the loss of the ability to view Flash encoded videos in either the native browser or in Dolphin.
With all of the hype about the upcoming release of ICS, why didn't anyone warn the customers that Flash would no longer work with ICS and that this upgrade would essentially hobble their device? Motorola did mention this fact buried in a pre-release notification, but it was easily missed:Due to Adobe's discontinuation of Flash development, Flash Player is no longer preloaded and is not available for download from Google Play to this device. Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly. Alternatively, the new HTML5 standard is supported for Web video.

Jul 8, 2012I know ...Adobe is pulling Flash Support from Android devices, BUT since all the other 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 Devices i tried work with flash i think its something motorola could fix (With help from Adobe maybe).bout the Problem:Every ICS Version (Even the new "leaked" EU versions...) for the RAZR has working Flash Buttons/Menues ect. but embedded Videos don't work (Check for yourself on southpark.com or ESPN). The Videos Buffer/Load but the screen stays black...maybe some hardware acceleration thingy.Flash does work on Samsungs SIII and the Nexus...as well as some 4.0.3 Tablets i tried.Since the Nexus has about the same hardware (cpu/gpu) as the razr there must be something wrong on the motorola part.Oh, and about flash: Latest Version from the market ! Same on the other devices.

Jan 4, 2012i keep having problems on my RAZR with my connected music player and also the other music player apps. the connected mmusic player keeps freezing and closing and takes at minimum 3 tries to get an artist selected an then takes some time to bring up albums or songs, other times does not even bring up the albums or songs. other times it will just start flashing and then the whole home screen and any other screens keep flashing.
