Apple really screwed me up! Did an update to iOS 8.1.2, got stuck in the white restart screen. Recovered the phone via DFU for like 6 times to get the phone start up correctly in factory settings only to find I am unable to restore my backup due to "corrupt backup or incompatible device"!
How can I recover my backup to my iPhone 6?? I really need the photos and messages...
It says my iphone backup file was corrupted and I was asked to delete my backup file.where could I find the backup file to delete? I've searched everywhere and I couldnt find it.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi have problem in restoring data i backed up before upgrading the firmware from 4.62 to latest 7.23 and managing a full restore of my quite old supernova 7210, as i wasn't able to let nokia pc suite recognizing the phone (error every time i plug the phone).i created an internal nokia backup file (NBF) with messages, calendar, settings and contacts.i updated the firmware and now i'm trying to restore everything i need.now the issue: i'm able to restore "contacts", "settings" and "calendar", but when i check also "messages" option, after 2% of completion the phone told me that there's "no backup file available".what can i do now?i know those NBF files are zip files; is not possible to create a new backup file and merge the old messages folder "predefmessages", stored in the original NBF-zip file, into the new one?

If you ever wondered why you can't install Maps for E75 using the file nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS, which is distributed at: Nokia Europe - Maps - Compatibility & download page, it's because the file is seriously corrupted.
According to SymbianOSv9.x SIS File Format Specification, the first 4 bytes of a SIS file must always be 0x10201A7A. Surprisingly this particular file starts with 0x0055E805 and contains 161 bytes of random data in front of a byte sequence that appears to be the correct identification header. Way to go Nokia! Who knows what else is broken in that file?
I heve a couple of programes that say "file corrupted" when I try to delete them. How does one get rid of them? A hartd reset? Re-install phone software? Also, my phone runs version 10.0.020, no update available apparently. Very strange, this phone was bought the one soled. I thought that all Nordic phones run essentially the same software version.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi discovered an oddly-named folder in one of my music folders, and i attempted to delete it both on file manager and on my pc through 'mass storage' connectivity but could not manage to due to its corrupted state.
i also suspect that the corrupted folder/file is the reason to the failed transfer of some tracks from ovi player to my device, and sudden disapperance of some tracks. does anyone know how i may go about removing it in its entirety from my memory card?
I tried to install whatsapp from [URL] but failed -"file corrupted".i don't know what happened because the website clearly states that the app supports N85.Another thing, Nokia Suite made me download the service controllers (no idea what that is) but i couldn't install that either, ágain, "file corrupted".

When in Contacts I try to go to options and a message comes up "File Corrupted" so cannot go into a contact to retrieve or edit. Same with Facebook App, when selected, try to enter and same message. Have reset to factory settings - no good. Have replaced sim card - no good.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI attempted a jailbreak through jailbreakme.com but it didn't work and bricked the phone. So I restored to factory settings which put 4.0.2 on my phone. No biggie it wasn't that big of a deal to jailbreak anyway so I was just going to go back to my old settings on 4.0.2.
Unfortunately it backed up again real quick after updating and now when I want to restore from the backup it just gives me factory settings. I do have a big 8gb backup dated from before the jailbreak fiasco in MobileSync>Backup but I have no clue how to get it onto my phone.
This is for a iphone 4s.
I have located the backup files on my PC, which is under some geberrish file name in my hard drive. I have two backup files, one from 1 week ago, one from this week. How can I choose to restore from the file that I backed up a week ago?
I tried plugging the phone in and go through itunes, but itune only gave me the option to restore from the backup file from this week (which is no good because the new backup file has nothing in it for some reason, 0MB of file ).
Where can I find the backup file for my iPhone on my computer? I have searched everywhere I know and can't find it. Is it in iTunes somewhere? I don;'t need to restore, I just want to know where it is.

I'm trying to restore my new 4s (16g) to my backup, but it will not sync with iTunes, shows I have too much "other" taking up memory and I can't change the settings. Can't restore from backup due to corrupt file??

I have a new iPhone 3GS and the only way to jailbreak is to have it be a tethered jailbreak. I want to jailbreak my phone right now, but I also want the option to restore my iPhone to exactly how it is right now and delete the jailbreak. I sync my Iphone to my MacBook Pro right now. So is there a way I can manually save a backup file to restore my iPhone to how it is right now and reverse the jailbreak? I know after I jailbreak it will automatically erase the current backup and replace it with one that has Blackra1n or whatever on it.
Sorry if this has already been asked. I am an iPhone newbie from the Blackberry world and AT&T.
Is there a way to backup my iPhone by creating an image file of the content? If so, how?
Again, I am talking only about creating an image file, not any other backup method.
