Nokia :: N900 - No IMEI And Red Line On Sim Card / Cannot Update To Latest Version
Jul 12, 2010I do really have serious problem. I have nokia N900 which is U.S.A. I was trying to update through flasher, then the phone doesn't complete booting I mean just stuck on booting. I did try another version, and also doesn't work. The phone only accept one or tow version which is a Global RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM and Middle East version RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM. Just accepting the old version. When I update to latest version, it just stuck for more than 4 hours on the 5 dots or booting.
I did read almost or all the posts talking about this problem and no one worked with me. I did flash it with EMMC first then OS but also nothing happened. And when I flash with the old global, the phone boot up and work fine but when I check the IMEI there is nothing show up. And there is red line on the top on the sim card. I tried many SIM card. But nothing work. I hope I can find solution.
NOTE: The phone out of warranty.

Aug 27, 2010Not too long ago my employer rolled out a two-tiered phone Nextel service for employees. Some get 8350i with a full BB data plan and some get Moto i456 with voice, PTT, MMS, and limited data (feels like GPRS). I am in the latter category. While I have absolutely no justifiable business need for a data plan I despise the crappy i465 with a passion that is difficult to describe.
I thought I would solve my problem by buying a 2nd-hand 8350i on my own dime and just popping the employer-provided SIM card in it. My hope was that I would retain what I need (voice, SMS, PTT) and be on my merry way. However, it appears that I do have voice and PTT but have lost ALL messaging capability, probably because the messaging the BB goes through their own servers and I do not have BB service.Is there any way around this dilemma? I do need both PTT and SMS, and the only two QWERTY devices with PTT capability are the 8350i and the i465.
BB Curve 8350i :: DC Locks Up Phone
Mar 18, 2010I'm running .313 with a stock theme and no 3rd party apps. However, in the last 2 weeks, whenever I have a DC conversation longer than approximately 3 minutes without it ending, my BB locks up. The LED still flashes red, the DC info is still on the screen, but the only button that works is the power button to turn the phone off then back on. No amount of battery pulls fixes the problem.

BB Curve 8350i :: Trouble With My Phone Rebooting Itself?
Mar 18, 2010So for the past three days or so I have been having trouble with my phone rebooting itself while I'm working with it? Not in phone calls. But it has rebooted while I was unholstering to read a BBM Message, while I was reading email, once while I was using Docs to Go....Very irritating! I originally thought it was my theme because I have NEVER had good luck with themes on this phone, but removed it and still issues! So now I'm looking at BBM being the culprit but I wasn't sure if I could pinpoint the problem somehow? like using alt+lglg and finding the error in the java log? To bad I can't read jibberish! I saw a similar problem on another phone and the wiped the device and reloaded really don't wanna do that! BTW, I have not installed any new apps or updates in almost a month otherwise I'd point to that!

Well, strangely when I walk into his room with the phone in my pocket or in my hand, the TV turns on? I believe it's when it is sending data back and forth, b/c it only seems to happen then. It only turns on that TV, the others in the house don't respond at all. My 4yr old gets a kick out of it.

Jun 26, 2010Having a problem with my phone it is a 8350i i was messing around with the settings iam honestley i am not to familiar with the phone and now i can not hear a dial tone,the speaker phone works fine i thought it was the speaker i changed it with a new one today so that was not the problem the contacts are clean and not bent in the chassis mid plate. when i make a call no one can hear me except for when i activate the speaker.

I miss calls all the time at home because I don't hear it vibrate, and it only rings for about 5 seconds. I've downloaded ringers that are 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds in length and it doesn't make a difference. Vibrate, vibrate, ring for 5 sec, missed call... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Jul 3, 2010I've downloaded the trial version of Beejive and want to install it. I am using OS 4.6.1.231 and am using the latest Blackberry Desktop program (v5.0.1). The instructions to install Beejive say to connect my BB to my comp and choose the application loader to add Beejive. I then "Browse" to the alx file and click on it.Fine. I do all that and then click on "next." I then see that I will I be reinstalling all the programs that have check marks by them. I decide I just want to install Beejive only so I go back and untick the apps I want to leave alone but there is only "remove" or "install" and that unticking one would result in its removal. Is installing Beejive through BB Desktop the only way to get it to work? Is there no way to go to get a jad file and download that for an automated install?

Feb 18, 2010I'd really be grateful to you if could help me out with this. I have got a locked Nokia N91. I went to a local mobile repair shop which claims to unlock branded phone. While it was being unlocked, the phone got some error for some unknown reason and now whenever I start my phone, all it says is ' phone start-up failed, contact the retailer' the repairer says the phone's IMEI is damaged which I have confirmed from various repair shops and would need some RPL file (which I haven't got any idea about) and since Nokia servers are down its not possible right now, he tells me to wait for a bit before the servers are up on the run again. I have no idea if its even true. All I want to know is Can My Phone really be Repaired? And if Yes whats the Criteria for doing so? And if i take my phone to Nokia repair shop. I am afraid they would not fix it since they haven't got a license to unlock branded phones.

May 13, 2011I try to update the phone by installing and running the Motorola Update Manager (I don't have wifi), after I start the process on Vista Update Manager found the update, downloaded it and start the update process.At 50% of the last step (I don't recall the name) the phone rebooted itself which I think it was part of the process. I tried resetting the phone to factory setting in recovery console and it fails.I tried running the update few different times with same resultContacted Motorola customer support, factory rest: FAIL.The only way I can start the phone is with choosing "Boot Android (No BP)" in recovery console. by doing that I can start the phone and load the motoblur and... there is no App installed on the phone and everything in the phone is rested already.When I check my phone status after booting by "Boot Android (No BP)" I see:IMEI: Unknow; IMEI SV: unknown; Baseband version: unknown; Build number: OLYFR_U4_1.8.3ystem version: 4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.USMotorola WebTop version: OHWT_U1_4.257.30AT&T said that they are going send me a new phone and for now I'm using my old BlackBerry. Aug 22, 2012My fleet of fifteen client Xyboard tablets on Verizon received their OTA push of the Android 4.0.4 operating system this morning. I was pretty stoked until one of our primary software components wouldn't function. After quite a bit of work, we discovered that the Verizon/Motorola system update had changed all of the Xyboard's IMEI Device ID numbers by appending an additional digit to them. This changed the previous 14 character device ID numbers to fifteen character device ID numbers.The result was that any software that had license binding to the device ID no longer functioned. This was true for our Sygic navigation and routing software. We had to completely relicense this software component on 15 tablets.First, I wanted to warn other Xyboard users of this potential problem. Second, I wonder if anyone can provide any idea of why this happened. Many companies, like ours, enter these IMEI Device ID numbers into our capital asset inventory log system because, supposedly, they never change and could be used by the police if one was ever stolen. What could possibly be the reason for changing them in a system update?? Now, not only did it break some of our most important software, angering our clients and causing us enormous headaches, but it also makes our entire capital asset inventory incorrect.
