When I receive an email in Mail on my iPhone 4S with an ICS attachment, it offers to open it in Calendar but when I choose Calendar, the Calendar app does open but the appointment/event does not appear anywhere. The ICS file did originate from Outlook 2010 connected to Exchange but not sure that should make a difference. iPhone is current with published updates.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my iphone connected to my exchange server and everytime I try to open an attachment the mail app crashes.I also noticed that if I try to do the automatic scroll to the top my tapping the date in the mail app that doesnt work either.Just trying to see if anybody else is having the same issue and if there is a fix.

From a newbie. I can open xls and doc if I download to the cellphone but not if they are emailed to me. pdf will not open either way. Message says I do not have the app to open it. Help plse!:

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis used to work on my Droid and Droid 2. I receive an HTML email, which appears as 3 attachments, 2 text and one HTML. If I click on either of the TXT attachments I'm offered the choice of HTML Viewer or QuickOffice to view them. However when I click on the HTML attachment (the actual mail body) it goes straight to the browser, which tries to opencontent://com.motorola.blur.service.email.engine.EmailProvider/bodyparts/file/3/329_5.attand drops me into a google search browser window "did not match any documents". IOW it cannot find that file/location.
It's as if the email tool is creating an address (storage location) for the attachment that the browser doesn't recognize; or that it is creating one but passing a different handle to the HTML reader. Over a variety of emails the pattern is .../file/x/yyy_5.att.sing "Files" I can't find anything that looks like these attachment files, apparently it is below user visibility. can save the attachment into Messages then view it with the HTML Viewer; but I don't want to do that a dozen times a day.
I cannot receive any MMS messages when I am roaming. I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.

For some reason, if I click on a link in a Calendar invite on my iPhone4, it will not open Safari. If I hold down on the link, I get options to Open or Copy. I choose Open and nothing happens. I choose Copy and I can copy it, open Safari, Paste it and browsing to that site works.

However, although the email, text and BBM alert icons appear on the PlayBook they cannot be opened. The Bridge contacts and calender will also not open on the Playbook.When attempting to open Text messages on the PlayBook the notice "Text Messages was disabled by IT policy" is displayed. There is no IT Policy in place.When attempting to open BBM on the PlayBook the notice "You must accept the BlackBerry Messenger Licence Agreement on your smartphone to use BBM on your PlayBook". I bought an iPhone 4s the day it was lunched and been using it ever since on a smartphone O2 tarif, everything worked fine until O2 did something on the 10th march 2012, ever since that day I can never send attachments on their network small or large. All fine on wifi.O2 tried everything, they are try to upgrade me to a limited data iPhone bolt on which is something I don't want because of the limitation.They now say it is apple that controls this and so here I am asking.I have been on O2 support lines for more than 6-7 hrs since the 14th march 2012, hitting a dead end!
