BB Bold 9700 :: Cannot Open SMS - Lost SMS After Hard Reset
Sep 19, 2010Blackberry 9700 running 5.0.0.400 (Platform 5.1.0.110)SMSes cannot be opened and after hard reset disappeared !
Only left 1 or 2 SMS which were okay all along.

Oct 11, 2010after i reboot the bold 9700, the phone hang on the theme page. i can't use the track pad & reset at the option. i have try many time to remove the battery to reset the phone but still can't use the BB phone. how to HARD RESET to the manufacture setting to this phone.

Feb 5, 2012For most of the time I've had my Atrix, I haven't used encryption. I don't even think it was an option. After the last update, I started using the option to encrypt user data and files stored to my SD card. My Atrix has had a lot of programs force closing lately, so I did a hard reset. All my user data was intact after the reset, but I can't open any of my photos that were encrypted. I've tried setting my password to the same as it was before, but I still can't access the files. Is there anything I can do to get my photos?

For several days I had noticed that my BB ( 9550 Storm 2, Verizon Wireless, about one year old, v 5.0.0.713[Bundle 1206, Platform 4.2.0.323) would consume the batterly life much faster ( in less than 12 hours, I would have to charge it again), I went to the store and gave me some tips about how to conserve energy and such and did not think I needed a new battery. Finally on Thursday it would go into a loop of freezing and resetting and then freezing again , and resetting, for hours. I had synchronized the device the night before. So ,I decided to go for a hard reset. NOw, in spite of the sync'ing, I don't have my contacts in the device and, what is worse, I don't know where to look for them in my laptop.

Jun 6, 2014I have a bunch of books in my kindle library and had downloaded a subset of them to my iphone in the kindle app.Â
I was having issues with the iphone, and I ended up doing a backup/hard-reset/restore. Everything came back fine except my downloaded kindle books. Actually, when I first opened the kindle app, I saw the previously downloaded books listed in the "device" tab, but they soon disappeared.Â
Where does the kindle app store this info on my phone and why wasn't it saved/restored to/from the backup?Â
I can download those books again from the cloud, so nothing lost, but it is an annoyance - especially if one likes to have lots of books handy.Â

Jun 28, 2011Every so often the internet connection on my phone will stop responding, just sits on the browser with "connecting". If I go to the the app world I can successfully download an application without any problems. t purely seems to be the browser that gets stuck, doing a hard reset will fix the issue, clearning the cache, history, pushed content will not fix it. ny ideas as having to do a hard restart to get my browser working is getting tiresome. Not sure if It was dropped and something happened but I remember being able to tap the top of the phone with ease, just like the mute button on the right side, now there is a very noticeable difference.Anybody having this issue? Jul 28, 2010my friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.

4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?
also if anyone knows any solution to these problems, please respond. Any input would be truly appreciated.
