How do I silence the camera 'click' sound? There's nothing listed under any of the options/setup screens that I've been able to find so far. I have a Bold, the model before the touch-screen.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm using a software called YBrowser to snoop around my Nokia E72 file system.I found out that the sound files for the camera shutter, auto-focus, etc. are located in the following path:[URL]... So I proceed to create a silence wav file (of about 10 kb).My ideia, simple enough, would be to replace the shutter sound file with this silence file and give it the same name, so as not to cause conflicts of any kind.
Although the YBrowswer allows me to snoop around the whole system files, it doesn't allow me paste new files, or even delete the 'CamcorderJavaCapture.wav' (which is the file I'd like to replce).I could access the Z:/ volume of my phone and do this?If not through the phone, maybe through a Terminal window and the E72 connected to my Mac via USB?
I want to know how to use the camera without any sound during taking the picture in NOKIA X6-00, 8GB please tell me as soon as possible.

However this time even with those files completely deleted the camera app still make the shutter sound. Is it like OEM camera apps now where the sound is built into the app and it's not using the folder sound anymore?

I have turned of the sound for now, as this really annoyed me.
Two nights ago when I was in the middle of typing a txt message the keyboard clicks stopped sounding? I've checked the mute slider which is not on mute. Also when I press up or down on the volume controls, no bars appear to show the volume level, just the image of the bell without a line through it. I have tried a hard reset and checked all the volume settings in sounds but they are all switched to on. When I had headphones plugged in and tried txting I could hear the clicks and the lock sound. I have also cleaned the USB connector with a soft toothbrush...?? My macbook is currently with a computer engineer as he is trying to transfer data from my old laptop so cannot connect to my itunes.

I just got a BB bold 9700. It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:
v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)
I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.
I have synced and restored my phone but the sound is still not happening! It rings ok but when I answer I hear nothing also the keyboard clicks have gone. I have checked the ringer volume but still nothing.

First, I had to figure out how to turn the radio back on as it was off when I got it. Now every time I click "camera" the phone shuts completely off and restarts! Tried two different batteries, on and off the charger, with and without microSD card. Any ideas?

Question for the rest of the 1020 owner, when you launch a camera app like Nokia Pro Cam, does the lens assembly make quite a distinct 'click' sound? I can also feel a slight shake when I hold the phone in my hands when I launch a camera app. Visually, I see the the front shutter open, and a split second later, the lens assembly 'clicks' or locks into place.
