Jul 4, 2015Had a S4 a got my new S6 today. Tried the same "hack" to disable the Camera Shutter Sound like i did with my S4:
download Root Browser
navigate to
system/csc
open others.xml with RB Editor
adding new line
<CscCamera_Shutter_Sound_Menu>true</CscCamera_Shutter_Sound_Menu>
BEFORE </FeatureSet>
Save and restart Phone.
Open Camera - Settings - last line there you can find the ShutterSound!

Jul 22, 2011I am on the Mobilicity network which has a bit spotty coverage in some areas and the phone can roam several times a day for a short time when traveling about the city or when on the edge of coverage. My Mobilicity plan has unlimited data while in their native network but the roaming rates for data are extremely high. It is surprising how quickly the charges add up when out of coverage for a very short time. Selecting Disable Data While Roaming turns off the BB data while roaming, but not WAP data. I would like to automatically disable ALL data while roaming so that when out of coverage there will be no data charges but when back in coverage the phone will have access to all data services. I realize that the phone could be set to the Mobilicity network only but I wish to be available by phone and SMS, even when out of Mobilicity coverage. I would like the operation to be automatic since this situation is not quite the same as going for an international trip and it is impractical / incovenient to manually turn the data services on and off manually throughout the day.Is there a setting in the 9780 or a connection manager app that would take care of all of the data connections while going in and out of roaming?

Feb 11, 2010I just got a BB bold 9700. It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:
v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)
I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.

May 2, 2010for some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! Jun 8, 2015I just got an LG G3, and I have a Yahoo email account set up on it. I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
