I'm talking about the mechanical "Droid" sound at bootup. There is no way to disable it, nor is it affected by the volume level. I have EVERY volume turned down and it still sounds. I have even tried the app Silent Boot with no luck.
I upgraded a few days ago to the Razr from the X2. I noticed that the boot animation sound volume is so low I can barely hear it. Is this normal? Is there any way to increase the volume of the boot animation sound?
I've got a Droid X. After I upgraded to Android 2.3.3 I am no longer able to silence incoming calls by double tapping the screen or turning the phone screen side down?
I am a relatively new Motorola Droid Turbo user. My phone is usually on either silent or really loud. I've found the "Sleep" mode which has been useful and I see that there is a "Meeting" mode which is great. But is there a way that I can set the phone to just vibrate from 8AM to 6PM Monday through Friday?
I having phone go to silence mode by itself lately. I set "call out and ring " in system setting- acceessibility menu. I also set Vibrate and ring in System setting- sound menu. But sometime it Vibrate and Ring got unselected by itself.
You know how pushing the power button silences the ringer when someone calls and you don't even have to pull your phone out. It would be nice if you could do that with the notifications also, like text and email etc. Cause sometimes I can't just get my phone out cause I'm doing something or have my hands full and so on. It should be like that with all of the sound where you can just hit the power button to silence the ringer on everything.
How do I silence the camera 'click' sound? There's nothing listed under any of the options/setup screens that I've been able to find so far. I have a Bold, the model before the touch-screen.
I'm using a software called YBrowser to snoop around my Nokia E72 file system.I found out that the sound files for the camera shutter, auto-focus, etc. are located in the following path:[URL]... So I proceed to create a silence wav file (of about 10 kb).My ideia, simple enough, would be to replace the shutter sound file with this silence file and give it the same name, so as not to cause conflicts of any kind.
Although the YBrowswer allows me to snoop around the whole system files, it doesn't allow me paste new files, or even delete the 'CamcorderJavaCapture.wav' (which is the file I'd like to replce).I could access the Z:/ volume of my phone and do this?If not through the phone, maybe through a Terminal window and the E72 connected to my Mac via USB?
This is the second time this has happened. This morning my alarm did not go off because the phone shut itself off. Phone was fully charged last night. This morning phone was off and would not boot up until I pulled battery.
I'm unable to get my dx to boot. I've been "granted" a replacement, which is due to arrive Monday.Do the actively disable your phone when they do that?I am at a login screen, with 7:00 PM Thursday Jan 1 showing. A blue triangle next to the 1x symbol. ALso showed wireless net detected symbol. I cannot interact with the screen. But the sd card can mount in Windows. Also says No Service. Is this anything of interest to folks in troubleshooting DX issues? Or a clear indicator that they have disabled this phone? I have tried hard resetting this phone like 10 times now.
Last night as I was driving home my phone cut itself off. The battery was very low and as a safety feature I assume, it cut itself off. When I got home I put the phone on my tv stand and put it on charge through a wall charger and let it charge overnight.I got up this morning and noticed my DVR was turned on. I picked up the remote and pressed the power button to cut it off. I instantly noticed my phone have to boot logo and then go off. I went over to unhook it from the charger. Now the phone wont boot.I have a Droid 4. You can't remove the battery. I have tried everything that I know to try to get it to boot or even turn on. I have tired 2 different types of wall chargers, my wife's car charger, a usb cable, and nothing makes a difference. I have also tried to hold the volume down and the power button at the same time. I don't know if my battery is shot but maybe it had something to do with my DVR remote. I upgraded to the Dish Network Hopper Service. I normally charge my phone at the same place every night.
Moto Droid Ver 2.2.2. Starting yesterday, I am getting frequent, ramndom re-boots. I say random because they occur if it is the dock, on a table, idle or not idle, middle of a call, etc. I have not down loaded anything from the market in at least a week. It has never done this in the 18 months I have had it.
I noticed Verizon allowed HTC and Samsung to hack unlocked bootloaders for there phones already, so it seems Verizon wouldn't have a problem with my Droid RAZR getting one. The 2 phones I have been thinking about switching out for mine are the HTC Rezound and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus because they have them.
Sometimes, if I put it into the multimedia dock, fixes the problem.I will need to get rid of this thing if it can't reliably boot.I got the phone the day the DroidX launched, Does that mean I need to pay a fortune to Verizon for a new one (or a DX2), since not enough time has passed since they "subsidized" this one?
I've recently heard about the Motorola Atrix getting an unlocked bootloader, however,I don't own an Atrix since it's not on Verizon.I have a Droid 2 Global which I want to be able to unlock it's bootloader so I can freely customize my phone.will there be an unlockable bootloader coming in the Droid 2 Global soon? I love this phone a lot, but this is something that I really could use.I'm willing to void my phone's warranty by unlocking it's bootloader.
On my Droid 2 Global, there was a key-sequence that let me turn on the phone without removing the charger, waiting a few seconds, then pushing the power button. (although i forget what that combonation was now, since I haven't used it in a while.)Is there a similar key sequence i can press to boot from the charging screen (battery icon in the middle of the screen) with my Droid 4?
SO i was going to wipe my cache again, seeing if i have some knd of improvement. turned off the phone booted into the recovery splash page, selected recovery. And my phone just sits on the android with the red triangle then reboots.
I'm using a non-rooted device. I pulled the OTA update for gingerbread and it downloaded successfully. When it restarts it loads up to the boot screen and begins installation. It gets about 1/4 of the way before I get an exclamation error and the phone restarts. I've tried it multiple times and even formatted my phone before trying it.
Greetings, my phone recently froze on me, and I couldn't even reboot by holding down the power button. Instead I opted to reboot via the Power Button + Volume Down method. This forced it to shut down, but upon rebooting, the phone is now in a loop. It shows the Droid at launch, then makes it to the red eye, but after sitting on the red eye a moment, it freezes, then restarts the cycle again.
Things I have tried:
Forcing another reboot via Power + Volume Down Going into the Boot Mode Selection to use Normal Power Up Going to BMS and trying Recovery (Wiped data/factory reset) Attempted to enter Safe Mode (Didn't seem to work, cycled again at eye) Fastboot Lastly, tried launching to Tools in BMS. Same as above.
At this point I am at a loss as to what to do. I would like to not have to send this out, and to fix it here, but is it comes to that, I guess I'll take it to Verizon and see about getting it shipped out, and getting a replacement.
Oh, also this is a stock phone, the only "modifications" I had was Go Launcher and Go Lockscreen. I was, when this happened, going to check my Google Reader app, and that is when it froze on me. (Never had it happen before this)
Is Motorola going to release a roadmap to what phones will recieve unlocked bootloaders or is the Moto Droid X even going to recieve an unlocked bootloader?
On my Wife's droid razr, every time the phone boots up, blue tooth starts up. It seems to start up right after the phone starts up my wifi. There are no smart action running that should cause the blue tooth to start up. If doesn't automatically start up on my razr, only on my wife's phone. Even when I turn off blue tooth before I shut down the phone, it still starts up on restarting the phone.
I did a factory data reset on my phone through the settings menu. The phone rebooted, but will only cycle through the Droid boot up animation. I let it go for about twenty minutes. The phone will not let me use the power button to shut it down. The only way to turn it off is to pull the battery. The phone had no problems before this.
I wanted to test booting into safe mode so I followed the directions here. I did get the "safe mode" in the lower left hand corner of the screen. But soon after that it restarted by itself and started back up in normal mode. I tried that 3 time and the same thing happened.
And only on boot / startup? I want to create a password when I turn on the Droid, but once its on - just requre the normal screen swipe to use the device (I don't want to have to enter a password each and every time I try to use my phone!)
