This is the second time this has happened. This morning my alarm did not go off because the phone shut itself off. Phone was fully charged last night. This morning phone was off and would not boot up until I pulled battery.

View 1 Replies View Relatedso I've been waiting for an update to the update to fix all the little quirks i have had since the GB update....but this just started about a week ago and i cant wait for a general fix.....when i type in a txt or on a web page the keyboard shuts off.....it seems to happen when i finish a word and hit the space bar to move on.....i thought it had some thing to do with the auto guess of the next word but i don't know how to turn it off to check it out.....i have restarted the phone.....i removed apps that updated since the problem started......tried may things short of a factory reset.......

Despite the fact the I have the ringer turned on, a ringtone selected and the volume turned up, I don't get a ring during incoming calls.Powering the phone off and on seems to be a temporary fix, but (according to the non-motorola forums), the issue may have something to do with a smart battery profile (something I did not enable) and can only be permanently fixed by a factory reset.If that's what it takes, I'm more likely to return the phone and find a model without this bug.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I check email (gmail, earthlink) or use the browser the wifi turns itself on. To be clear it is OFF to start with. Then when I do these functions the ? mark in the wifi symbol appears and it says "wifi network available, select a preferred network" and it is now turned on. I turn it off and then it goes on again as I said. Just got phone, only apps added were no lock and battery widget if that helps.

I've been "granted" a replacement, which is due to arrive Monday.Do the actively disable your phone when they do that?I am at a login screen, with 7:00 PM Thursday Jan 1 showing. A blue triangle next to the 1x symbol. ALso showed wireless net detected symbol. I cannot interact with the screen. But the sd card can mount in Windows. Also says No Service.Is this anything of interest to folks in troubleshooting DX issues? Or a clear indicator that they have disabled this phone? I have tried hard resetting this phone like 10 times now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night as I was driving home my phone cut itself off. The battery was very low and as a safety feature I assume, it cut itself off. When I got home I put the phone on my tv stand and put it on charge through a wall charger and let it charge overnight.I got up this morning and noticed my DVR was turned on. I picked up the remote and pressed the power button to cut it off. I instantly noticed my phone have to boot logo and then go off. I went over to unhook it from the charger. Now the phone wont boot.I have a Droid 4. You can't remove the battery. I have tried everything that I know to try to get it to boot or even turn on. I have tired 2 different types of wall chargers, my wife's car charger, a usb cable, and nothing makes a difference. I have also tried to hold the volume down and the power button at the same time. I don't know if my battery is shot but maybe it had something to do with my DVR remote. I upgraded to the Dish Network Hopper Service. I normally charge my phone at the same place every night.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSo since this phone does not have an LED light, the only way to know when you have a message is via Moto Display, right? Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????

I have downloaded a couple third party apps like Camera 360 and still get the same result. This is just a hassle when I'm trying to sneak pictures of my 10 month old sleeping.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I turn the screen off on My Bionic, it immediately comes right back on.Now, it doesn't happen every time and I can't repeat the problem on demand.Seems as though it has a mind of its own.I don't believe it is a bad app causing the problem either.The phone has been doing this on and off since I activated it yesterday.Not sure why it does this, but I wanted MOTO to be aware of this issue.I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software problem, but it didn't go away after a battery pull and reboot.

I've thought this was a notification but sometimes there is one and sometimes there isn't. The phone's sitting perfectly still on a desk or lamp table etc. I don't have any settings on that turn the screen on for notification.

I say random because they occur if it is the dock, on a table, idle or not idle, middle of a call, etc. I have not down loaded anything from the market in at least a week. It has never done this in the 18 months I have had it.

The 2 phones I have been thinking about switching out for mine are the HTC Rezound and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus because they have them.

I've recently heard about the Motorola Atrix getting an unlocked bootloader, however,I don't own an Atrix since it's not on Verizon.I have a Droid 2 Global which I want to be able to unlock it's bootloader so I can freely customize my phone.will there be an unlockable bootloader coming in the Droid 2 Global soon? I love this phone a lot, but this is something that I really could use.I'm willing to void my phone's warranty by unlocking it's bootloader.

Mine turns white when the screen goes to sleep and takes some time to turn back blue. i have checked the advanced settings, and it is set to Always keep WiFi on during sleep. When it is white, I don't get email, Gmail Chat, etc. As soon as it turns blue, I receive email, and Chat messages.

After about 4 days of using the bluetooth feature constantly, I was in the middle of a call and heard a very loud echo/feedback sound. I looked down and the green bar on my "bluetooth" button was out. This now happens frequently and the only way to get it to stop (temporarily) is to power down and remove the battery for a brief period of time. When this does happen, I can tap the button again and it will usually go back to bluetooth, but only for a minute or two, then it turns off again. I really need a remedy.

I would notice however that every couple of minutes the screen would turn on, stay on for a minute, then turn off. It would then repeat the process. So I did a factory reset, same thing happened. I realized it would turn itself on because it would drop the 3G connection totally, then when it connected again the screen turns on. I put the SIM in my Nexus and it's fine. And it doesn't really matter now because the phone won't turn on anymore. I picked it up to check it and nothing happened when I hit the power button. And I can't get it to turn on at all now.

When it restarts it loads up to the boot screen and begins installation. It gets about 1/4 of the way before I get an exclamation error and the phone restarts. I've tried it multiple times and even formatted my phone before trying it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedGreetings, my phone recently froze on me, and I couldn't even reboot by holding down the power button. Instead I opted to reboot via the Power Button + Volume Down method. This forced it to shut down, but upon rebooting, the phone is now in a loop. It shows the Droid at launch, then makes it to the red eye, but after sitting on the red eye a moment, it freezes, then restarts the cycle again.
Things I have tried:
Forcing another reboot via Power + Volume Down Going into the Boot Mode Selection to use Normal Power Up Going to BMS and trying Recovery (Wiped data/factory reset) Attempted to enter Safe Mode (Didn't seem to work, cycled again at eye) Fastboot Lastly, tried launching to Tools in BMS. Same as above.
At this point I am at a loss as to what to do. I would like to not have to send this out, and to fix it here, but is it comes to that, I guess I'll take it to Verizon and see about getting it shipped out, and getting a replacement.
Oh, also this is a stock phone, the only "modifications" I had was Go Launcher and Go Lockscreen. I was, when this happened, going to check my Google Reader app, and that is when it froze on me. (Never had it happen before this)
Is Motorola going to release a roadmap to what phones will recieve unlocked bootloaders or is the Moto Droid X even going to recieve an unlocked bootloader?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my Wife's droid razr, every time the phone boots up, blue tooth starts up. It seems to start up right after the phone starts up my wifi. There are no smart action running that should cause the blue tooth to start up. If doesn't automatically start up on my razr, only on my wife's phone. Even when I turn off blue tooth before I shut down the phone, it still starts up on restarting the phone.

I let it go for about twenty minutes. The phone will not let me use the power button to shut it down. The only way to turn it off is to pull the battery. The phone had no problems before this.
