For some reason the shutter tone for the camera never turns off. Whether marked on or off, it's on. I have downloaded a couple third party apps like Camera 360 and still get the same result. This is just a hassle when I'm trying to sneak pictures of my 10 month old sleeping.

According to the Sprint User guide, there should be a Shutter Tone setting to turn shutter sound on or off.
I am liking my Bionic less each day... the BSODs and Data Connectivity are getting worse. But I digress...Finally got around to trying the camera on my Bionic. Wow. An intolerably long shutter lag. So long that I have yet to be able to take a descent picture of any living thing. No living thing will remain still long enough for the camera to actually take a picture. Every picture has a blurred object.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got my Razr Maxx on 6/21 and everything worked great on GB. I took the ICS update Saturday night and thus far, have only found one issue that I can't seem to resolve. Since the update, I no longer have camera shutter sounds. While this may not be a real major issue, I do like to have the feature available especially when taking pictures outdoors in the sunlight when the screen is harder to see. Shutter sound is enabled in the stock camera app.
All phone volumes are set to maximum and as far as I know, all other audio actions are working as they should (ringtones, alarms, media, voice and all system sounds). I've tried the typical power cycle, soft reboot, cache partition wipe, cleared data and cache in the stock camera app. I've tried other 3rd party camera apps and also don't have any shutter sounds in those apps either with shutter sound feature enabled. I've uninstalled any other apps that I can think of that might have contradictory volume settings and started up in Safe Mode and still no camera shutter sounds.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got a notification to update my phone, so I downloaded the update and installed it, all good so far, but now that I have tried to use my camera the flash isnt working in sync with the shutter. The flash goes off too soon and the pictures turn out too dark, now I have checked what settings I could think of including the auto flash and etc, but it refuses to flash at the right time! I have noticed other differences with the update but I can get used to those.. not a big drama, but I really liked my camera the way it used to be... but in saying that I would prefer not to master reset as the other changes are ok.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone for my trip to Europe. Of course, I dropped it in the wet sand walking along the beach. I immediately took it apart and wiped it off. The battery label had turned pink so I know it got wet inside. When I got back to the house I ran to market and bought rice. I put the phone in the rice overnight. Everything on the phone worked except the earphone of the phone wouldn't work. I did a factory reset to se I have done three since now. Once I turn on the phone the camera app turns on by itself and then takes a picture with the flash.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI see that the Bionic users are complaing of this issue, but don't see it here with the Droid 4 users.(My Droid 2 did it as well).The tone happens at the end of a call no matter who is terminating the call or whether the phone is BT or not. I see no way to turn this off or control the volume with the Droid 4 without turning the whole notification process off.The problem is most severe when I BT to my car stereo as the tone is especially loud because of the car stereo volume. Ironically, if the call drops, there is no termination tone, which is the one time at least you could appreciate some sort of notification. Often I am talking away after the call drops and will have no idea that the call dropped. Ideally, this tone should be volume controlled independently of other notification tones.

When it goes off, it yields no information of its origin. Noting in the notification bar to indicate the source.The name of the alert is "burst" I use the "droid" alert tone, so I don't know why the "burst" tone is going off. I've shut off just about every notification I can find. I thought it was from my google voice app, but I still receive the alert even after I unistalled it.Some of the apps I use are Ebay, Yahoo, etsy fan, craiglist, I did install that Modern Combat game, viggle, netflix, PDA net, facebook, direct TV, angry birds starwars and thats about all I've installed so far..

Verified that I have 181 installed. Looked at every possible option to see if there was a way to silence the end of call tone. Nothing.The end of call tone is as loud as ever, post update. View 3 Replies View RelatedThis happens when I'm using apps that have a large percentage of white screen space (Google Books, browser between page loads, etc), or at least that's the only time I've noticed it.The whites on the screen are usually a cool white, but sometimes the entire white area of the screen will abruptly shift to a pinker hue and then back after several seconds. The first few times this happened I wondered if it was some kind of response to ambient light, like the auto dimming feature. However, I can't force it to happen, even by tilting/moving the phone or covering the light sensor right after it happens.
Does it sounds like an indication of a malfunctioning screen and something I should talk to Verizon about replacing? It's not a problem, just puzzling, but I just purchased the phone about two weeks ago so if this is a sign of a defect I want to fix it before it does cause problems.
so I've been waiting for an update to the update to fix all the little quirks i have had since the GB update....but this just started about a week ago and i cant wait for a general fix.....when i type in a txt or on a web page the keyboard shuts off.....it seems to happen when i finish a word and hit the space bar to move on.....i thought it had some thing to do with the auto guess of the next word but i don't know how to turn it off to check it out.....i have restarted the phone.....i removed apps that updated since the problem started......tried may things short of a factory reset.......

Despite the fact the I have the ringer turned on, a ringtone selected and the volume turned up, I don't get a ring during incoming calls.Powering the phone off and on seems to be a temporary fix, but (according to the non-motorola forums), the issue may have something to do with a smart battery profile (something I did not enable) and can only be permanently fixed by a factory reset.If that's what it takes, I'm more likely to return the phone and find a model without this bug.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I check email (gmail, earthlink) or use the browser the wifi turns itself on. To be clear it is OFF to start with. Then when I do these functions the ? mark in the wifi symbol appears and it says "wifi network available, select a preferred network" and it is now turned on. I turn it off and then it goes on again as I said. Just got phone, only apps added were no lock and battery widget if that helps.

Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????

View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I turn the screen off on My Bionic, it immediately comes right back on.Now, it doesn't happen every time and I can't repeat the problem on demand.Seems as though it has a mind of its own.I don't believe it is a bad app causing the problem either.The phone has been doing this on and off since I activated it yesterday.Not sure why it does this, but I wanted MOTO to be aware of this issue.I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software problem, but it didn't go away after a battery pull and reboot.

I've thought this was a notification but sometimes there is one and sometimes there isn't. The phone's sitting perfectly still on a desk or lamp table etc. I don't have any settings on that turn the screen on for notification.

Mine turns white when the screen goes to sleep and takes some time to turn back blue. i have checked the advanced settings, and it is set to Always keep WiFi on during sleep. When it is white, I don't get email, Gmail Chat, etc. As soon as it turns blue, I receive email, and Chat messages.

After about 4 days of using the bluetooth feature constantly, I was in the middle of a call and heard a very loud echo/feedback sound. I looked down and the green bar on my "bluetooth" button was out. This now happens frequently and the only way to get it to stop (temporarily) is to power down and remove the battery for a brief period of time. When this does happen, I can tap the button again and it will usually go back to bluetooth, but only for a minute or two, then it turns off again. I really need a remedy.

I would notice however that every couple of minutes the screen would turn on, stay on for a minute, then turn off. It would then repeat the process. So I did a factory reset, same thing happened. I realized it would turn itself on because it would drop the 3G connection totally, then when it connected again the screen turns on. I put the SIM in my Nexus and it's fine. And it doesn't really matter now because the phone won't turn on anymore. I picked it up to check it and nothing happened when I hit the power button. And I can't get it to turn on at all now.
