I've configured the Double tap home launch to start the camera but I've noticed that occasionally it resets itself to Voice Commands for no reason.
Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any workarounds for it (apart from having to reset the action back to Camera)? Possible bug?
Recently got the .602 upgrade and noticed the double tap home launch isn't working, at least on my phone. Is this a new issue, or was it a problem previously? Have tried all the options available, but none seem to work. This feature can be accessed by going to Settings>Applications>Double tap home launch to choose your option.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently added Bluetooth to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma by installing: a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, the handsfree steering wheel buttons, and a
PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.
Occasionally my double-clicking of the home button does not launch my camera. To get that working again I have to go into setting turn off that feature and turn it back on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use a voice command application such as Google's Voice Search or Vlingo the phones microphone is disabled. Both applications run an animation that lets you know that the phone is "hearing". I receive no indication that the mic is active. However, if I plug my (Non-Mic) headphones into the Triumphs jack the voice recognition comes alive. This lasts for one command though. If I try to voice a second command I again get no response. At this point pulling the headphones out of the jack again activates the voice application for one command.

It seems to dominate my bluetooth button and I can't find a way to disable it. It's the worst piece of software ever. I have 3,000+ contacts and it takes 45-60 seconds of waiting just to say a command that it invariably won't recognize when google voice actions takes a second to launch and works every time. Also is there any way to assign google voice actions as the default when I press my bluetooth universal button?

When i say "listen" nothing happens, its the same for everything, any time the dock pops up a message saying "say this to answer or listen or whatever" nothing happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with the Photon when it is in the car dock and I am listening to streaming audio such as Slacker or Pandora. If I use my Bluetooth headset and press the button on the headset for the voice commands, the Photon sends a very garbled voice control prompt to the headset. The prompt that says "Please wait. Please say a command" comes across extremely garbled. This does not occur if I am not streaming audio, nor does it occur over the regular phone speaker.

To try yourself, use voice commands and say "Set alarm for 5:25 PM" or "Set timer for three minutes." View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm using a RAZR MAXX HD with the Motorola vehicle dock. I've enabled the Smart Actions for turning on Vehicle Mode when I drop it in the dock, and I like this for the most part. When I get a text message, a popup notifies me that I've received one, and prompts me to "Say listen to hear this message." However, I've only been able to get the damn thing to recognize me saying "listen" once, out of several dozen times this has happened. I don't have an accent (I'm from California) and have a fairly loud voice. Any tricks to getting this to work? I've tried louder, quieter, faster, slower, weird pronunciations, cursing at it... no luck!
I'm pretty certain it's actually picking up me saying "listen" because I see a little popup bubble on the screen saying something like "Waiting for speech" then after I speak it will show "listen listen listen".
For what it's worth, voice input seems to work just fine in any native Google app (search, navigation). It's just the (Moto?) Vehicle Mode ones that hardly ever work.
I would like to know if I can use voice commands to dial a call and then dial into an extension or conference number. I often take conference calls while I am driving and being able to get into the conference room without manually dialing would be great.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirst, the only one that I'm allowed to choose to map to the double click home key is Voice Commands. If that isn't annoying enough, I also can not figure out how to access Voice Search at all, and Google Now requires actually interacting with the device to launch (I'm going for a handsfree/bluetooth solution here).
Second, Voice Commands is missing functionality. It has a "goto" feature, but it never works. It says I have to set up the shortcuts in the settings. However when I go into settings there is nothing there for setting up the shortcuts. Sometimes if I hit it just right I can tap the GoTo button and it takes me to a list of functions and I am able to select it, and it works for a little while, but inevitably when I go back to use it again the GoTo function is once again dead. I know this because instead of opening navigation or maps or Google Now (as I had set up before) it constantly prompts me to call someone or cancel, or some other function that is NOT GoTo. At least if I could change the default behavior of what launches I could work around this frustration by using Google Now or even a 3rd party application, but my menu has predefined choices and none of them are Google Now or 3rd party.
I want to disable the voice commands when the off hook button on my headset is pressed.I use an audio book player and pressing the headset button is supposed to pause / play the book. Instead the voice command stuff comes on. How can I turn it off?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have not been able to get the webtop to launch. I am using a Motorola multi-media HD dock to connect to my HDTV. All of the support pages show using an app called "Motorola Webtop." The only app on my phone is named "Webtop Connector". When I launch it there is a red/white Motorola logo that comes up on the TV screen but nothing else happens. The phone displays No webtop web pages to resume. and No webtop bookmarks.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix 2 today.Initial thoughts, the screen looks really nice, the soft rubber back feels better then the Atrix 1. I got the same internet speeds as the Atrix 1. Camera button convenient though pressing it doesnt launch camera app. On the Atrix 2 internal memory isnt accessible, even hooking up to pc you cant browse it, so you need a SD card to put music and videos, etc on it.HDMI mirroring worked as expected. I think the MHL mirroring from the SGS2 was better quality though.

every time i try to use the phone portal it it ask you to plug in usb to launch or connect with wifi.well problem one is i trie to use just wifi but wont connect unless i use my usb . witch i dont understand.number 2 is after i get it to launch and login on my pc the app crashes every time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had an Atrix2 since Mid-Nov.2011, and have really had no problems with it so far except a couple apps freezing and having to reboot the phone. But just recently, when I have had to reboot the phone (y'know just cuz u need to reboot a computer sometimes to make it work better) the ringtones I have set as the main ringtone and the notification sounds get reset to random mp3 songs I have downloaded on the phone. It's a different one every time this has happened, too. It doesn't even reset to the AT&T tone that it came with. I have two apps that may affect it. "Zedge Ringtones" and "MP3 Ringtone Maker." This also happened the other day but didn't notice it till my alarm went off to wake up in the AM. The audio for THAT was not was previously set. So, I really don't know HOW this is happening. I do have an aftermarket alarm app called "Alarm Clock Plus." (I have a separate issue with the factory alarm app for another thread)

This needs to be done, occasionally, in order to freshly repopulate the contacts, and not end up with duplicates in the phone. The phone gurus at Best Buy and AT&T were also frustrated by the absents of this "Delete All" contact's feature.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe ICS update installed flawlessly and was working without issue until last night. I noticed that my personally assigned ringtones and notifications were suddenly gone. I went through the tedious process of reassigning all the sounds again and all was good, until I plugged the phone into the USB port on my pc to charge. I'm aware the SD card is not identifiable when plugged in, so I thought to move my personalized sound app back to the phone, but after again reassigning the sounds, they get "lost" when I plug the cable into the USB port. This seems to happen randomly, because overnight, my sounds were "lost" and the phone was only plugged in to a wall charger. I Googled and it appears the problem did occur on other phones when they received the ICS update

Does anybody know if this is a software limitation or a hardware limitation? If it's a software limitation, then I can always hope that a future version of the OS might give me this capability. But if it's a hardware limitation, then I guess there's no hope.
