Motorola Atrix HD :: Frozen Screen - Still Same After Resetting?
Jul 28, 2012I just bought a new atrix hd. For some reason the screen froze and I can do nothing with the phone. I have reset it three times but it will not unfreeze.

Nokia Lumia :: Screen Frozen Even After Resetting
Dec 24, 2012I purchased the Nokia Lumia 920 just under a month ago, a few times it's blacked out and i've done a reset (hold volume button and power button down) and it's worked, this time however when I done that reset the screen is not working, the side buttons are working but the touch screen is not working at all, I've tried reseting it multiple times, with holding both volume buttons with the power button and holding down one or the other the with power button and camera button, I've tried removing the sim but with no resolution and I don't know what else I can do. I know chances are I will have to take it to a store but I thought I would try on here first.

Feb 15, 2012I've had an Atrix2 since Mid-Nov.2011, and have really had no problems with it so far except a couple apps freezing and having to reboot the phone. But just recently, when I have had to reboot the phone (y'know just cuz u need to reboot a computer sometimes to make it work better) the ringtones I have set as the main ringtone and the notification sounds get reset to random mp3 songs I have downloaded on the phone. It's a different one every time this has happened, too. It doesn't even reset to the AT&T tone that it came with. I have two apps that may affect it. "Zedge Ringtones" and "MP3 Ringtone Maker." This also happened the other day but didn't notice it till my alarm went off to wake up in the AM. The audio for THAT was not was previously set. So, I really don't know HOW this is happening. I do have an aftermarket alarm app called "Alarm Clock Plus." (I have a separate issue with the factory alarm app for another thread)

Jan 25, 2012How can I delete all of the contact data, without doing a complete reset of the phone? This needs to be done, occasionally, in order to freshly repopulate the contacts, and not end up with duplicates in the phone. The phone gurus at Best Buy and AT&T were also frustrated by the absents of this "Delete All" contact's feature.

Oct 11, 2012The ICS update installed flawlessly and was working without issue until last night. I noticed that my personally assigned ringtones and notifications were suddenly gone. I went through the tedious process of reassigning all the sounds again and all was good, until I plugged the phone into the USB port on my pc to charge. I'm aware the SD card is not identifiable when plugged in, so I thought to move my personalized sound app back to the phone, but after again reassigning the sounds, they get "lost" when I plug the cable into the USB port. This seems to happen randomly, because overnight, my sounds were "lost" and the phone was only plugged in to a wall charger. I Googled and it appears the problem did occur on other phones when they received the ICS update

Jun 9, 2011I've configured the Double tap home launch to start the camera but I've noticed that occasionally it resets itself to Voice Commands for no reason.
Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any workarounds for it (apart from having to reset the action back to Camera)? Possible bug?

Jul 21, 2015My S6 is rooted. So I was going through a root app called lucky patcher and accidentally deleted the file com.google.processes.gapps. I couldn't fix it so I just assumed I would factory reset. Now the phones is stuck on the first updating page. I tried to factory reset again but still dose the same thing wen it reaches the page again.

Oct 30, 2011I updated my phone the day the update rolled out and I'm still geting frequent random reboots. Some times it reboots when I'm not using the phone and other times it reboots after a while of good usage. Also every now and then after a reboot my phone will be frozen on the unlock screen and nothing fixes it except waiting for it to reboot again and start normally.

Dec 16, 2011Droid RAZR - bought in November from Verizon store. Screen protectors and case are used; phone has experienced no trauma. While in Gmail today, the screen pixellated, became unresponsive, and now is inoperable. The screen appears as a mostly uniform field of slowly shifting color (pink, green) with a perhaps .75 inch bar of white on the bottom; see attached picture (it was hard to get a good shot because of the lighting). The phone still "works" internally - if you call it, it rings; the screen sleeps after an appropriate time and you can push the power button to bring it back; I hear the chime of emails and texts coming in. However, none of the menu/home/back buttons work, and touching the screen apparently does nothing. When I push the power button to "wake" the phone, the previously described white bar appears instantly, and the fuzzy colored remainder of the screen "develops" over about ten seconds.
I forced a reboot via the power button/volume trick, and heard the reboot process - but the same screen issue stayed throughout the reboot.I am at about 15% power; perhaps a complete shutdown forced by loss of battery power will eventually help. Plugging it in to a charger did not help.
Motorola Atrix 2 :: Screen Turns Itself Off When Screen Is Touched
Nov 2, 2011I have the Atrix for many months now and only witnessed a few small bugs. However my wife bought the Atrix2 and she says the screen shuts off on her when the she touches the screen. It is not a timeout setting either. It is REALLY bad when we are laying in bed and she holds the phone and i try to touch the screen...boom screen shuts off! She turns it on and i touch the screen...boom the screen turns off again. Is this some kind of security setting?

Dec 26, 2011I have this weird thing going on with my Atrix. I've had it for about six months and it was fine until now. What happens is that the touchscreen stops responding after it is turned off (pressing the power button) and back on. I can't unlock the phone, but the volume buttons are still responsive and I can still turn off the screen. If i reboot it (by removing the battery), it boots up just fine, with the screen working perfectly. It'll sometimes stop working when ending a call. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen everytime I turn off the screen, and when it happens, if I turn it off and back on it sometimes starts working again. It also seems to happen more frequently when the battery is low.

Nov 30, 2011i will be browsing / using apps / unlocking my phone and the screen will just crap out and turn itself off. a little red light seems to appear at the top of the phone, which i'm not sure what that means, but it keeps doing that. i've turned the phone on and off a few times this morning, taken the battery out and let it sit for a minute before putting it back in and rebooting and it still does it.

I didn't do anything to it either. Good news...My backup Pro...was able to put all of my texts back into my phone...not in perfect order...but they are there. The call log was replaced! The desktop was put just like I had it! It was a pretty good move...just lost my pictures and had to redownload everything

Let us be the ones to show it off to our friends, so they in turn can envy us. That would create desires in new potential customers that only spending money could fill .

Aug 23, 2011I bought an Atrix 4g running Gingerbread this last Saturday (8/20/11). Over a day, it probably would freeze up 10 times. It would only freeze up when the display is off. When I go to hit the power button, the display wouldn't come up. The only way to restart it would be to pull the battery.
I read on this forum and some others that some apps could cause problems so I removed all downloaded apps (factory reset) but the problem persisted. I switched for a new Atrix from ATT and the same thing would happen. At this point I can't believe I got two bad phones from AT&T, so I feel like it must be something I have setup. The guys at the AT&T store said it could have to do with my exchange email I have setup for my work email. I configured it to not sync automatically and only manually. The problem would still persist.

I must say that I was a little concerned about the switch, but am VERY happy so far!ith that being said, I'm pretty sure I'm being stupid and just missing something, but I can't get my homescreen(s) to flip even though the auto-rotate setting is checked. Nov 6, 2012I recently updated my Motorola Atrix 2 to the new 4.0.4 OS. Previously, I had my phone set up so that I had to enter a pin # if my phone had been asleep for 30 minutes or more. Otherwise, if less than 30 minutes, turning the phone on (from sleep) went directly to the home screen (no swiping or unlock needed). Under the new OS, I cannot seem to keep this. Now, there is a 2-step unlock process (selecting key icon, and then unlock option -- lock icon -- in order to get to main screen). The only way to avoid this annoying 2-step process (that doesn't really add any security) is to turn off all locks, but I would prefer to have some security (i.e. through pin lock after 30 minutes asleep). Anyway to disable this annoying 2-step/swype feature when turning on phone without disabling all locks? If not, is there anyway to go back to my previous OS?

Jun 2, 2011I have had AT&T and my Motorola Atrix for a little over a month now. It was a day after my 30 days to return the phone when I noticed that I had a brown line going down the left side of my screen. When I brought the problem up to AT&T they wanted to replace the phone with one of there refurbished phones. I decided to keep my current phone since I just spent 200 dollars on the phone. Last night while charging the phone while it was powered down I noticed that the brown line had now turned green and was bigger but still just on the left side of the phone. I have completed checked for updates and the phones says "up to date". I am lost for what to do I love the phone and leaving Verizon was the best move I made.

Dec 12, 2011I just got my upgrade to Atrix 4G , all the extras are overkill.....but that is not my problem...I set the screen timeout to 20 minutes, and when it goes to sleep (or what ever it does) to wake it up have to push on/off switch....that part is easy....but Then I have to slide that silly lock thing across the screen to unlock, by then the person is on voice mail.The other phones I have had you could disable the screen lock when at home (use as house phone)and then when wanted to go out lock it.....

May 2, 2012went to plug my Atrix in last night, it had been sitting on the dresser. Worked fine when I set it there 4 hours earlier. Battery was maybe half charged, hadn't been used much that day. When I got back to it there was nothing; blank screen, no LEDS, and wouldn't come on. Plugged in and RED LED lit up. Left like this for a while and when I came back the camera light was on, but when I unplugged it went off. Still no power. Read that maybe not original Motorola charger. Got original and GREEN LED came on. GREEN LED also comes on when plugged to PC. When it is unplugged there is nothing.

Oct 17, 2012First off, let me just say that I am very pleasantly surprised at how well the ICS upgrade went for my Atrix2. First off, the upgrade itself went smoothly and I lost no data. Second, the phone seems much snappier in all respects. Third, I like some of the new features that ICS provides.
One question I do have is whether it is possible to change the applications that are available on the lock screen? For example, I use a popular third party app for my camera (CameraZoom) and it would be nice to be able to access it from the lock screen instead of the stock camera.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Blue LED Stays On When Screen Is Off?
Oct 9, 2011I have a question about my Atrix. The other day I noticed the blue notifications LED was staying on solid when the screen is off. When I turn the screen on it goes off. The only way I've been able to get it to go off is to do a battery pull. Once I do that, it will go for 1-2 days and then the LED starts coming on again.
