Motorola Atrix 2 :: Screen Is Starting To Not Respond When Plugged In?
Nov 22, 2011phone has been fine while plugged in, until about 2 minutes ago. plugged it in, tried to pull the notification bar down to switch to mass storage mode and the screen would not respond. took a couple swipes, and it eventually worked after a few tries.it's also doing it in my car dock now too.has been fine, nothing has changed, just started doing it out of the blue.

Currently when i use the HDMI cable the screen turns such that the cable goes in from the bottom which if the XOOM is on my lap is awkward. It would bebetter if the HDMI port was at the top.

Nov 9, 2011I'm looking for an app that will turn the screen on automatically when there are notifications.The main reason is I want this is to confirm that a call has ended. When I'm using my bluetooth headset and hit the end button, I have no visual confirmation from my phone that the call has indeed ended.With the majority of the other phones I've owned, the screen will come on and a notification will pop up for certain things (call ending, incoming texts, bluetooth connected/disconnected, wifi available, etc). But on Android I can't find a way to do this.

Sep 9, 2012Sometimes when I'm getting in my car and hit the button to turn on the phone screen, then slide the unlock icon to the right to get to my screen, then try to start an app, I have to fight the phone to stay on over and over and over and over.There is plenty of battery life, so that isn't the issue. Sometimes it goes black immediately after sliding the unlock button right. Sometimes it goes black again when I click on an app on my home screen. Sometimes it goes black again after opening the app. Sometimes it goes black again after I click on something in the app.When this occurs, I can have to go thru hitting the on button and sliding the unclock icon right multiple times, sometimes 2 or 3 times at each of the steps as described above.

Sep 7, 2011I got my phone last May shortly after they came out. For the most part I havent had any issues at all with it. I use it to tether my laptop and until the last update it worked flawlessly when I connected a USB cable to it. Didnt matter whether I was charging or thethering it worked without a hitch. Once the recent update came out everytime I plug a USB into it the phone tells me the cable was attached and then reboots. Sometimes when i remove the cable it reboots.
I never had 1 issue at all till the recent update. Ive tried differant cables and differant computers. Never happens when i plug the charger into it only when attached to a computer. Ive read another thread on this topic and seemed to be brushed off by the folks here at Motorola. Im not saying your software is crap or your phones. Im saying there is a valid issue that needs to be addressed. Its not my phone hardware. Ive used it for months without 1 single issue and couldnt be happier with it. Something happened in that update. maybe not on everyones phone but its happened on some peoples phones. If not then it wouldnt be a reoccuring issue with several people. If 100 people experience and issue or even only 50 then its an issue. I really dont care to spend 100 dollars to get this phone replaced. I guarantee if it comes to that ill go with an Iphone.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Entertainment Center Doesn't Appear When Plugged
Jul 14, 2012When I used to plug in my phone to the tv with my hdmi cable it would pop up on the phone wanting me to pick entertainment center or webtop connector. I chose the entertaimnment center last time and chose the option to always pick that. Now when I connect my phone to the tv, the Motorola logo appears on the screen of the tv, but the phone does nothing, like it doesn't recognize it. Is there a way that I can redo whatevr it is I do so I can watch my videos on my tv?

Feb 11, 2013Have a Atrix HD, about 6 months old. Today I went to make a call using a headset plugged into the headset jack, and nothing happened. The headset was not recgonized and all sound continued to come out the 'speaker'. (Either in "loud" speaker mode, or normal mode.) Tried another headset, same problem. Researched and went through the "check for debris and clean the jack" process with no improvement. Contacted Motorola support and they ended up offering to have it shipped to service center for repair/replace, but that means 7+ days without the phone. So I thought I'd check and see if anyone else has had such a problem.
Anyone else ever have headset jack "failure" like this on an Atrix unit? Oh, it also fails with a music player, or any other sound source, so it appears to be a general unit failure, not specific to any one app/function. I looked all over for some kind of setting to enable/disable the jack, but found nothing of use.

If my RAZR is plugged into a power outlet and is fully charged, it is very difficult/almost impossible to unlock the screen. I grab the unlock spot on the left ant try to slide it to the right, but it takes several tries, using extra force to get it to slide. Underneath the slide bar I see the message that my RAZR is fully charged and to unplug it from the outlet.If I unplug it first, it unlocks just fine. Guy I work with just got a new one and it's the same way. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this? Obviously this isn't a big deal, but was just curious.

Jul 25, 2011I've had my Atrix since launch and it's been doing great, however just starting last night when I plugged it into both the wall, and then to the computer, it won't charge. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

Aug 30, 2012My phone was charged at 100% and was on the charger when this happened. Basically the phone froze for about 5-10 seconds and then the screen went black. I haven't been able to get it to turn back on. I've tried the hard restart (power and volumn buttons held down together) and I've tried connecting it to my computer but nothing works. Is there anything else I should try? Or do I need to just take it back to the AT&T store? I've only had the phone for a week and a half, so it's still within their 30 day thing.

Sep 19, 2011After a weekend of operation I tried to turn WiFi on only to have it turn itself off after 15-30 sec. It happened 3 times before I powered down and back up, that fixed the problem. It may be a memory leak as the phone had been on for 3 days, or maybe it was related to the fact that it had gotten to a low battery state over the weekend and it turned off some services to save battery and didn't turn them back on after it was charged. I have very few apps loaded and dont think thats the problem, but I did use Googles navigator this weekend for the first time since I updated to GB.

Sep 14, 2011I loved how my old iPhone made it easy to click on phone numbers, email addresses, and links in emails, texts, web pages, etc. especially when I wanted to click on an address to show it on the map. My Atrix has never done that. Until recently I thought it was just something I had to put up with.
However, I got so frustrated I finally went looking for an answer. Now it seems that my Atrix is supposed to work the same way, so I'm wondering what the problem is with mine. It gets phone numbers and email addresses in emails, but doesn't recognize addresses.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or do I have a problem? I'm using the Gmail app for email.

Jun 6, 2011Is there any way to turn this feature off?? This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound?This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.
