Motorola Atrix 4G :: App To Turn Screen On When Call Ends?
Nov 9, 2011I'm looking for an app that will turn the screen on automatically when there are notifications.The main reason is I want this is to confirm that a call has ended. When I'm using my bluetooth headset and hit the end button, I have no visual confirmation from my phone that the call has indeed ended.With the majority of the other phones I've owned, the screen will come on and a notification will pop up for certain things (call ending, incoming texts, bluetooth connected/disconnected, wifi available, etc). But on Android I can't find a way to do this.

Sep 9, 2012Sometimes when I'm getting in my car and hit the button to turn on the phone screen, then slide the unlock icon to the right to get to my screen, then try to start an app, I have to fight the phone to stay on over and over and over and over.There is plenty of battery life, so that isn't the issue. Sometimes it goes black immediately after sliding the unlock button right. Sometimes it goes black again when I click on an app on my home screen. Sometimes it goes black again after opening the app. Sometimes it goes black again after I click on something in the app.When this occurs, I can have to go thru hitting the on button and sliding the unclock icon right multiple times, sometimes 2 or 3 times at each of the steps as described above.

Jun 20, 2011Ocassionally I encounter a complete lockup after getting ready to disconnect from a phone conversation. Either the screen shuts off or the screen is on but unresponsive. I tap all over and the phone will not hang up. I have to pull the battery on hard lock-ups. Maybe they will fix this in a new release?

Jan 21, 2013My phone used to keep a charge for THREE days...it was wonderful! Now since the update, I have to charge it every day even if it's just standby. Plus, if I'm on a call with the screen turned off, when an incoming call comes in, I am unable to turn the screen back on in order to answer. Plus, sometimes the phone is so sensitive that when the face is pressed up against it, it goes haywire and cancels out a call. The sensitivity is way too high. I am using Straight Talk as my provider so is there a way, I can remove all the AT&T stuff? And which ones do I not need? I don't like a lot of bloatware on my phone.

Nov 7, 2011I can only periodically make calls normally by placing call and then putting phone up to my head and listening to phone ring, and person answer.For whatever reason then the phone will behave erattically. It will only let me make a call using speakerphone.I cannot put phone up to my head and listen through earpiece, and the phone doesn't black out when putting up to my head.I guess the proximity sensor doesn't work or is buggy.Also, sometimes when I double tap on the Home button/key to start voice dialing I should be able to hear the phone ask me what I want to do, but I can't hear anything but I can see on the screen that It is asking me a question - but can't hear anything as I normally should.Then, a few hours later it all works beautifully.I have rebooted the phone, taken out the battery and put it back in, hard reset the phone.I even have just now taken my screen protector off and the phone worked for a few calls as it normally should - i put phone up to my ear and screen blacked out and I could hear other person on earpiece.Then about an hour later none of that worked.I could only use the speaker phone.the phone didn't black out when making a call and putting phone up to my ear, and the double tap home button/key invoked the voice dial interface but i couldn't hear the voice/phone prompt like normal. and confirmation of my commands
The level 2 tech support at moto didn't help with any more troubleshooting than what I have already done.Which is: restart phone...reset phone to factory settings (hard reset) wipe all data off phone...taken off screen protector...none of this worked and produced consistent results to say that any of these procedures produced a positive change in the phone.I am within my 30 day trial period of this phone purchased from Motorola.

Jul 6, 2015The screen turns off when making a phone call. it wasn't doing that before and i have not changed anything. I did what you suggested (turning off the auto adjust screen tone), but that made no difference and still doing that.

On the iPhone the screen will stay on during a phone call. On my RAZR M the display goes dark after 1 minute and I can't figure out how to re-light it. Hitting the power button ends the call. Apr 15, 2015As a fairly new X2 owner (I just switched from an X1 a few weeks ago), one thing that really bugs me is that when I'm on a call that I originate, the phone does not remain on the "call in progress" screen. Instead it goes back to the home screen and if I want to access any "call in progress" options, I have to pull down the notification shade.

Jun 7, 2011I use my Atrix 4G on AT&T to make calls and use my Motorola S305 Bluetooth headset. The problem is, Atrix does not let me do any browsing as long as I am on the call. I have the same problem when I am using the speaker phone too.

Nov 7, 2011Had my Atrix 2 for a week and some times when I answer the phone no one is there.They can hear me perfectly well but my phone is dead quiet. Yes I've checked to make sure I haven't accidently hit the mute when answering. There is just no sound coming from the phone. Only a battery pull while powered on will restore the speaker function.Doesn't happen all the time, just enought to be annoying. Apr 22, 2011Since I got my Atrix about two months ago, I have had several issues that I have seen posted and am still awaiting a fix. Like horrible call signal when iPhone has no problem, security lock timer, voice quality from my handset, but I have not read about this other one with the Incoming Call. This issue is very random for me, but when people call me, usually I get their image in the middle and what looks like the lock screen, with one bar on left and right that can be swiped to answer or hang up. This is the screen that I get maybe 75% of the time, but every so often I get another Incoming call screen that doesn't have the bars that swipe, but at the very bottom it has two large buttons, a green one to answer and a red one to ignore. I know not a big deal, you either swipe or press a button right? Well it also affects the ringtone, when I get the slider buttons, the ringtones work fine, but when I get the buttons, it uses the original default ringtone, not even the default ringtone I have setup on the phone. I don't have any other dialer or call log app installed, I just set up my ringtones in settings and choosing individual users. Anyways, I like the button screen dialer, better than the default swipe one, but is there a way I could set a default and not get different incoming call screens.

Jan 6, 2012Immediately after the phone connects to the Bluetooth built in car phone, the "bluetooth in-call volume" of the phone goes to 0. I can't hear a caller until after this volume is raised. I can only adjust it during a call using the volume control on the phone. It stays at that level until the BT disconnects, but the volume is again 0 after reconnecting.Is there anyway to permanently set this volume level? It is a complete pain otherwise. If I can change the volume before a call, not only during, that may be acceptable.More info: I have a Motorola Roadster external phone headset, too, and it doesn't behave this way. The car manufacture claims it is the phone that sets the volume not the car. The car has the latest firmware.

Aug 20, 2011I go to the Phone Dialer and make a call. Few seconds and or a 1/2 ring and then the phone goes "Boop" and reverts to the lock screen. Sometimes the slider will not work or the Lock screen freezes, until you reset via the power/reset button on the back of the phone.

Yes I did get this phone to actually talk on it.The phone was locked and the screen showed to answer the call with the big Green and Red buttons, but the green one to answer was covered by a popup window with details of the contact calling.
