Since I've updated my phone, my screen refuses to turn on during a call, which is beyond frustrating. One, when someone texts me, I'll hear the notification while on the call , but I will have to wait until the other person ends the call for my screen to turn back on and I can continue from there.
View 4 RepliesWhen connected to my car via bluetooth, the phone emits a very loud, ear peircing tone when the call is ended. I cannot find how to turn off the call end tone in any of the menus. This is an extremely annoying "feature" that I would like to get rid of.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that will turn the screen on automatically when there are notifications.The main reason is I want this is to confirm that a call has ended. When I'm using my bluetooth headset and hit the end button, I have no visual confirmation from my phone that the call has indeed ended.With the majority of the other phones I've owned, the screen will come on and a notification will pop up for certain things (call ending, incoming texts, bluetooth connected/disconnected, wifi available, etc). But on Android I can't find a way to do this.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy phone connects to my Bluetooth fine and I can make an outgoing call. When I hang up and then try to make another call, for some reason the audio of the phone is not going through my car stereo for the second call so I switch the phone over to speaker phone using the speaker phone button on the phone. While on speaker phone I notice that the Bluetooth is still locked onto my stereo but I can still have a normal phone call through the speaker phone on my phone. After I am done with my call I try to wake the screen by pressing the power button and the phone does not respond BUT my call is still connected so I know the phone has not locked up or crashed since I can still talk to the other person on the other line. In order to get the screen to come back on I have to do a hard reboot by pressing the power button and volume keys.
I tried making a few more calls after it rebooted but this time I turned off Bluetooth prior to making the calls. I was able to make 3 other calls with no problems and the screen woke up each time I pressed the power button. I should also note that my WiFi is still on but not connected to any networks during that time and also my GPS antenna is on but not being used.
I know the phone is charged, when I plug it in though not even the charging screen comes on. The phone itself will not turn on at all. The only thing it will do is have the green notification light when plugged into my computer, but still no screen or phone power.

She says she has not changed any settings and my D3 has never done this. Don't see any new apps installed and the phone has been rebooted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone locked up/screen went black during a phonecall yesterday. It was at night. So, it was dark where I was. I tried to access the screen. It would produce a faint light, but would not let me access the screen, phone or any apps. I was talking on a bluetooth headset at the time. Normally at the end of a call, I could hang up the phone by pushing a button on my headset. That wouldn't work either. The only way I could hang up the phone was to pull the battery.
how to diagnose the problem or stop it from happening again? Or, is this just a BSOD (black screen of death where phone locks up and requires a battery pull) that happened while I was in a phone call?
Sometimes I use headphones while in noisy locations in order to hear calls better, but I still have to hold the phone up to talk into it. I noticed that something kept beeping, and figured out that the screen does not blank when against my head as it does without the headphones in place.
Is there a way to change that behavior, or do I just need to retrain myself to hold the phone differently when using headphones?
I am having a problem with all of the hard buttons turning my screen on. With Froyo, only the power button and home button would turn the screen on. Now any of the buttons can activate the screen making it too easy for the screen to come on, running my battery down.

Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call. Now, when I remove the phone from my face I find the lock-screen, so I must first unlock it before I can end the call. I have searched for a settings to fix this and cannot locate what I need

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just traded in an iPhone 4 so I'm just learning the Motorola system. I usually set my display to go off after 1 minute to save the battery. On the iPhone the screen will stay on during a phone call. On my RAZR M the display goes dark after 1 minute and I can't figure out how to re-light it. Hitting the power button ends the call. Is there a way to keep the screen on other than setting the time delay to 10 minutes?

From what I have read, the "lite" version was designed for one certain phone but the pro version ($1.28) is supposed to work on all phones. There are not a lot of reviews as it is a relatively new app but almost all are positive. It is in the Google Play Store under Smart Screen On Pro. Curious to know if it actually works as they say it does. I really dislike using the power button to turn the screen on. My problem is that I carry my phone in my front pocket and sometimes when the alarm notice goes off, I take the phone out of my pocket and the window to turn off the alarm is no longer there. Taking the phone out of my pocket somehow removed the alarm window. I can't figure out how to turn off the alarm except to turn completely turn the whole phone off then turn it back on again (which takes a long time because it has to go through the whole boot process.
Does anyone know how to turn of a scheduled alarm when the alarm window is no longer on the screen?
Ideally, any time I make or receive a call I'd like for the screen to be automatically turned off as if I always immediately hit the "screen on/off" button once the call was active.
To describe in more detail: I want the screen to turn off independent of how close it is to my ear. If I want the screen on, I want to have to hit the "screen on" button. This would prevent me from ever accidentally hitting screen buttons when I position the phone on my collar during calls as opposed to holding it against my head.
I downloaded it yesterday and tried to use it twice and both times I had to do a factory reset to get things working again. Really a shame as I was looking forward to accessing my Synology diskserver from my phone. Other than that - LOVE the Turbo. have not had any problems with it since I got it last November. Even traded in my wife's second gen Moto-X that seemed to have all kinds of problems for a 2nd Turbo for her. How to get DS File working in Turbo?

My wife's phone has an interesting "feature?" which I haven't been able to figure how to turn off. When she has an unread email (either GMAIL or or local internet provider mail) periodicaly when the screen is locked and off the screen will turn on for a second and then turn off like a reminder notification. Obviously a battery killer. I've looked through all the reminder features including the add-on we use "Light Flow Lite" which we use for missed calls and cannot find where to turn this off.

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off).
