View 1 RepliesI don't know about that I mean because my phone always constantly beeps in unusual moments during phone calls.with or without blue tooth, alsop activated or not. this search for my problems the reason why I'm here is getting very saddening
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Photon automatically defaults to the dial screen when I press the call button from the home screen. It used to display the last tab used or recent calls if I had missed one. I have scanned through all of the options and can't seem to find an option to change this.
View 1 Replies View Relatedyou can see this is about the motorola photon 4G on sprint. so what happened was i am using my phone and all of the sudden my screen shuts off. Now the screen isnt turning back on. However the phone is working fine. For example my phone was ringing and i imagined the phone screen working and BAM i'm on the phone speaking as if this phone worked at 100%.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
Just got this V3t phone used. When I first turned it on, it seemed ok, but then determined it would text but not talk, seemed that it was some kind of special setting or software blip? Tried w/ 2 different working SIM cards - results the same, 2 different Razors, next to each other, one works other doesn't so not the network. When looking for how to change that, suddenly got an orange screen with FTS on top, lot of code, then contact for help but specific site doesn't exist. Took it to AT&T. Guy didn't know anything but pushed a few random buttons and got it back to where it originally was -- will text but not call. (get a "network busy" message when call out, goes straight to voicemail when call in to it.)
There is an "airplane mode" that is mentioned in the manual and would explain the behavior but it doesn't show up on the menu. Reset didn't resolve it.Phone is unlocked, originally T-Mobile. Last owner used it with AT&T There are no Minolta updates for AT&T w/ this phone but there is a T-Mobile one. Not sure if that'll mess up the unlock?

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy face is pushing buttons. cant find the setting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that will turn the screen on automatically when there are notifications. The main reason is I want this is to confirm that a call has ended. When I'm using my bluetooth headset and hit the end button, I have no visual confirmation from my phone that the call has indeed ended. With the majority of the other phones I've owned, the screen will come on and a notification will pop up for certain things (call ending, incoming texts, bluetooth connected/disconnected, wifi available, etc). But on Android I can't find a way to do this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I've updated my phone, my screen refuses to turn on during a call, which is beyond frustrating. One, when someone texts me, I'll hear the notification while on the call , but I will have to wait until the other person ends the call for my screen to turn back on and I can continue from there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs this right or am I just missing this essential information? Where is the call duration - I see everything else?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI noticed that whenever I am making/receiving calls, the screen flashes every few seconds. I wonder why it is doing that. I have never seen this on any other phone before. At first I thought it was related only to the silent call issue that the screen flashes every few seconds but even when I am able to make a regular call it still does this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i call my mac i use my email address from the contact not my home phone. Everytime the computer beeps once and the iphone shows busy.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy torch freezes frequently, even when busy with call. the screen sometimes go black, sometimes it looks like the colours have all mixed together, sometimes i have to pull the battery...i did check for software update, it is updated with the latest os 6.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter most calls, my phone will either lock up or take on a mind of its own by going to other screens at random, dial another number, sometimes do a pulsation or gittering of the screen. Othertimes it will start putting continuous numbers in the number dial area like continuous 3s or 6s. To remedy this I have to shut off the phone and restart. If I wait a while it will also start working normal again. Sprint has reset my phone and it had no impact on it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedan option to turn 3g on and off with a dedicated switch. as my 3g wouldnt turn back on and they had to hard reset it since there was no switch
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to, it cycles through, and does nothing. I've tried to turn it on via the Motorola widget button, and also through the settings menu, both to no avail.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Photon about 6 weeks and have been having issues where people can not call me they get message that phone is not available. Also when I am having those issues the phone will not dial anybody just stays on dialing screen and does not call. Also texts do not come through during that time.If I reboot then I can dial and receive calls for a half day or sometimes a whole day.My phone does get the random reboots started on day one and usually once or twice a day but NEVER has happened while I was actively using it.I have done factory reset. Pulled battery and replaced.
My phone was updated with the latest firware on the day I got it and I check for updates regularlyI do have an SD card in it that was new never in another phone that was formatted by this phone. I have tried using it without card and with card makes no difference.I have started rebooting every morning but I still miss calls. At first I had Google Voice on it, I thought that might be the problem I unloaded it unlinked my google voice account and then did factory reset but that has not helped.I do not tether or use the hotspot feature. I do connect using Wifi when I am at home for internet access.About the only thing I can tell is that it seems to lose phone access after a good amount of web surfing whether it is wifi or 3g. (I live several blocks outside of 4g cover
Just received a call on my Photon. The phone was in sleep state. It did not provide any options for answering the incoming call although the ringtone was loud and clear. It was as though the ringtone went off on its own.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to love my Photon. Lately it just seems to be working worse and worse. My latest frustration is this:I make / initiate a call from my phone. I get the phone screen. In the corner its says "connected". I can't hear anything at all on the phone (BT or otherwise). So I hang up. I place the call again. I get the phone screen for a few seconds, again hearing nothing only this time it spontaneously reboots.his happens I would say once a day, and I don't really make all that many calls. I'm also getting other random reboots, but I've not found a pattern for those. They just happen here and there. I can't remember the last time I made it through a day w/o my phone rebooting itself.
Then there's my battery drain issues. Today I lost 30% in about 1.5hrs and I wasn't even using it much. I went to the battery usage screen I see this:As you can see... less than stellar performance, and what the heck is "Media"? And why does it appear to be using my battery so much? I actually had a pretty light day on my phone to this point in the day and my battery is just evaporating.I tapped the graph and see that this thing is "Awake" almost constantly. I seem to remember a time, before the "Media" thing was showing up, when my phone was only "Awake" here and there.
So, I took this screen shot (below) a minute ago (after it spontaneously rebooted while I tried to call my wife). I tapped the "Media" item on the list and it shows a bunch of items. I frankly don't know what any of this means. I did some research on-line and there are endless threads about this "Media" problem, and much of it does not lead to a successful conclusion. I have to say, this Android phone thing is not impressing me so far. I've been a "techie" guy since the DOS days, but this just feels not-ready-for-primetime. I really don't want to have to reset my phone and re-load all my apps, and reset all my accounts, etc... Frankly I shouldn't have to. I'm just frustrated I guess. I don't know if I have a hardware phone issue, a hardware battery issue, a software issue, some crazy app causing problems
Recently known callers, those that are listed in my contacts, are identified as "unknown" caller. To receive the call I need to press 1 on the keypad.Do not know how this was enabled, but need help to disable this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom the last 3 days, after 3, 4pm, my photon turn silent, apears an icon with a bell and a red sign in front of it when i unlock de screen, when the screen is locked the bell that we move to the left to make the phone just vibrate has a bell with a line crossing in it, showing that it is silent. i looked in every place after clicked in Settings but i could not find some function that i changed, except the network configs that i move from automatic to gsm/umts only, to save more battery
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am three days new to my photon but, I am having one major problem so far. I am on a call and another call comes in, I switch to the new call.... talk for a second and switch back to the first call. I then see that the second call has not hung up from my phone so I switch back and press end call. Both calls hung up! How do I hang up the second caller without getting rid of both callers?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been through the factory reset process with sprint customer support for the issue of phone losing contact with voicemail, missing calls and forwarding messages only after a manual reboot.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed this recently: I have bluetooth enabled, but not connected to any devices. I initiate a phone call, and once on the call, I try to switch to an already paired but not connected bluetooth device. As soon as I select the device in the bluetooth settings screen, the phone reboots itself. Reproducible 100% of the time. Anyway else notice this? The work around is to start with the bluetooth device already connected before the call. I am paired with a Logitech H800.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWith my new Photon, I am having some issues where a call will come in and have very bad crackling audio. If I hang up and call them right back, it is crystal clear. It's happened to me three or four times in two days. Do you think it's a defective unit?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am listening to music, no matter which app, and if i get a call after I hang up my speaker phone turns on and plays the music as well as the headphones or speaker I have plugged in. I use Pandora, internal music player or power amp. The only way for it to stop is by restarting completely.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Motorola photon 4g since I bought it (2 months old now). It may reboots when I am trying to make a phone call. It happens everyday randomly and it is getting worse. If one day I need to make an emergency, I may need to wait a few minutes for it to boot up (lol) before I can use it. I have used Palm treo phone for many year and never have any problem. I went to sprint service center and the sprint technician reset it but it still has the same problem. I will come back to Sprint again for service. FYI, I will update this post soon I have more info.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen leaving a voicemail for someone, often times they call right back while I am leaving the voicemail. I curently only get the option to answer the incoming call or ignore it. Is there a way to disconnect from the first call and answer the incoming call? Right now I have to "ignore" the incoming call, then "end call" that I am on and then call the person back again -or- "answer" the incoming call and leave the voicemail hanging. Seems there would be an option to end current call and then (or in the same action) answer the incoming call.
