I have been through the factory reset process with sprint customer support for the issue of phone losing contact with voicemail, missing calls and forwarding messages only after a manual reboot.
View 2 RepliesI bought my Sprint Photon 4g the first day it was available at Sprint. I have brought it back and they exchanged it three times in less than 15 days. I always am pleged with the same problem. The phone more than occasionly reboots when I make a call. Also when I use the speaker option the sound is like a broken speaker. Some times when placing a call the call does not connect and the phone hangs and I have to reboot it manually. On all three phones I have had the exact same issue. I did the update tonight so I don't know it that will correct the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Motorola photon 4g since I bought it (2 months old now). It may reboots when I am trying to make a phone call. It happens everyday randomly and it is getting worse. If one day I need to make an emergency, I may need to wait a few minutes for it to boot up (lol) before I can use it. I have used Palm treo phone for many year and never have any problem. I went to sprint service center and the sprint technician reset it but it still has the same problem. I will come back to Sprint again for service. FYI, I will update this post soon I have more info.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having several issues with my Motorola Photon 4G. The first problem and must frustrating problem is that from time to time my phone will reboot when a call ends (either a drop call or hang up). I've tried removing the SD card and turning off HAC but none of these suggestions resolve my problem. The second issue is that from time to time my phone will not ring even if I have full service. I have several Sprint phones (Epic 4G, iPhone, Transform) and if I leave them all on the same table in my home can call them from my house phone they all ring when I call them.
When I call my Photon it will only ring 3 out of 5 times. On my house phone the call does not go direct to voicemail. At my house all the phone signal strengths are maxed out. The third issue is that if I turn on the speaker phone my call gets very staticy. The only way for me to fix this issue is to hang up and all the party again (simply turning off the speaker phone does not resolve the problem). This problem happens 100% of the time.
I have a Sprint Motorola Photon 4G and I am using it in Brazil with a Claro SIM Card. The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

I've had it less than a week and it was working fine previously, but last night it somehow died (even though the battery was almost completely charged that morning) and I've had problems charging it. I have it hooked up to my computer via the original USB charger but it won't charge. The charging/notification light turns white, then green, then it starts up. It takes me to the lock screen and says "Charging 5%", then it turns off and repeats this process. I have the correct drivers installed on my computer.I'm not a really big tech-geek

View 15 Replies View RelatedOccurred 3rd time in last 2 months(well spread incidents) - Photon just starts rebooting continously on its own (shuts down - loads back to the startup screens - connects to sprint - shuts down again..... loop continues non stop). During the restarts if it is un-noticed for a while the phone gets very hot. The only way to stop is to pull the battery out, after which it starts fine.Not sure what the issue is. Any thoughts? Would not prefer to do a factory reset as there is no observed pattern, all three incidents were when phone was not being used and was in the pocket. No extra apps are running generally whenever I check through the task manager - I cannot check while the phone is rebooting though.

I am not sure if it is an issue with Google Play Music app or what. I will post this message with Google and see if they can pinpoint the issue as well. View 15 Replies View RelatedI have this constant rebooting problem with the Atrix: If I accept a call while being charged, the phone reboots.The battery used to last me about 8 hours initially but now it lasts about 4 hours (not talk time, stand by, with a small amount of browsing and calls), so I keep it charging at work and also when I get back home. When I get a call and I accept it while being charged, Atrix reboots.Less frequently, if it doesn't reboot when I accept the call, and I disconnect the charged while being on the call, it reboots.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you make a call sometimes it just plays your ringtone? I have had this issue on and off since I bought my Atrix 2 in February but it seems to be getting worse. When I click on the person I want to call it brings it up like it is going to call them but instead of ringing them it just plays the ringtone. It even plays the special ringtone if I have assigned the person one on my phone but it never actually calls them. The only way I can make calls again once it starts is to power off the phone and power it back on.

My Z3 also suffered from the same problem, I was about to send it off for repair but smashed the screen so decided to upgrade early, now the Z5 is doing the same thing. I don't have a micro sd card in it and I have just replaced the sim with a new one but it still happens. But only intermittently when either making or receiving calls. I'm in the UK on the O2 network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter most calls, my phone will either lock up or take on a mind of its own by going to other screens at random, dial another number, sometimes do a pulsation or gittering of the screen. Othertimes it will start putting continuous numbers in the number dial area like continuous 3s or 6s. To remedy this I have to shut off the phone and restart. If I wait a while it will also start working normal again. Sprint has reset my phone and it had no impact on it.

Sometimes goes a couple of days without problem, sometimes it restarts couple of times a day. This mornig, for example, I was using Maps and Public Transport apps to find my way to work. When I got to office, I put the phone avay for a few minutes and during that time it had restared itself, while being in my pocket and screen lock on. All I managed to see was the white dot animation, which is shown at early stages of the startup, followed by home screen icons loading one by one.Device had and still has no third party apps or background services running. In fact, only apps I had used recently were offical release versions made by Nokia and downloaded from Nokia Store.Nokia should really get their act together and improve software quality of the both firmware and utilites running on top of it.
View 19 Replies View RelatedOk so basically, I have owned this phone since new, it's never been Jailbroken and the only "modification" that has ever been done is I've had the back glass replaced with a custom one I had made up.
The last 3 months or so, the phone during standard use tends to just reboot, the screen goes black, I get the little spinny wheel then it will either turn back onto the lock screen and behave, or it will continually do this.
I've also noticed that if it does automatically go back to the lock screen, some apps do not re-open, even after they have been closed properly from the home bar, they open then just close almost instantly which forces me to reboot the phone.
The worst case scenario is I have to do a full reboot - hold down home and power buttons till the screen goes black, then turn it back on, this can take upto 10 minutes sometimes which in my experiance is rather long..

I use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
I'm totally confused that my photon 4g does have native call app or not meaning like wise in samsung mobile it shows video call option whenever im calling to anyone but my photon doesnt showing any option lyk tht...Please Provide necessary details regarding native call app on my contacts how to enable it in my photon
