my torch freezes frequently, even when busy with call. the screen sometimes go black, sometimes it looks like the colours have all mixed together, sometimes i have to pull the battery...i did check for software update, it is updated with the latest os 6.

When i call my mac i use my email address from the contact not my home phone. Everytime the computer beeps once and the iphone shows busy.

When I first turned it on, it seemed ok, but then determined it would text but not talk, seemed that it was some kind of special setting or software blip? Tried w/ 2 different working SIM cards - results the same, 2 different Razors, next to each other, one works other doesn't so not the network. When looking for how to change that, suddenly got an orange screen with FTS on top, lot of code, then contact for help but specific site doesn't exist. Took it to AT&T. Guy didn't know anything but pushed a few random buttons and got it back to where it originally was -- will text but not call. (get a "network busy" message when call out, goes straight to voicemail when call in to it.)
There is an "airplane mode" that is mentioned in the manual and would explain the behavior but it doesn't show up on the menu. Reset didn't resolve it.Phone is unlocked, originally T-Mobile. Last owner used it with AT&T There are no Minolta updates for AT&T w/ this phone but there is a T-Mobile one. Not sure if that'll mess up the unlock?

I cleared out the OS (Wipe) and tried to load a new one. But, during the process connecting to JVM, my phone always restarts failing the whole process. I am using desktop manager btw.

My phone out of no where went into 1xev and will not go back to 1XEV. Sprint said it is a device issue and i need to have the device replaced. I told them i do not want a refurb since my previous device had to be replaced 4 times (8350i). He said he would see what was in stock, he then told me that he could not replace the device at all since my previous device was replaced so many times. He referred me to "multiple device replacement team" who said I had had to many replacements and that he couldnt even replace the device. He said I need to go to a service/repair center so they can see the phone.
Has anyone had the same issues with the 1XEV dropping to 1xev and not coming back? My service books will not send, my HRT message will not come, (it does say sent, but I never receive the actual registration message), I cannot update profile or preferred network list (says unable to update, if problem persist contact service provider).
2 days in a row, prior to this, every time I tried to call out, my phone would make a busy signal and say "CALL FAILED: PLEASE TRY AGAIN" and when my wife tried to call, it went straight to voicemail.
Now, I am making calls ok and receiving text just not BIS data: (Internet,BBM,PIN,Email)
FYI: I have not made any software updates or anything receent. I am running 5.0.0.624. Have been since May.
Any suggestions on what may have caused this and if there are any suggestions tech support left out?
Also, I really dont want a refurb, how can I get a new device as opposed to a refurb? I have had this device since Dec. 28 or 29 and have had no issues with the device. I dont want to use my upgrade since I havent had this phone a year and would like to save that for when a better device hits the stores.
I have had 2 times issue that phone screen freezes during call. No keys helped, but ON/OFFswitch. Updated to last version of v40.0.005. Don't remember the exact conditions or sequece of actions, just got unpleasant case. I noticed also that batteryindicator showed 1 stripe of battery. After restart , the battery was full. Is this expected action for this phone? Should Itake it back to service? My phone is used ~1 week, so there can't be any issues caused by wrong usage.

The phone will ring, I'll answer the call and have the conversation, no problem. But when it comes to ending the call, the screen freezes with 'Joe Bloggs Calling' on the screen and I have to turn the phone off to resolve it. (no response from the screen)

I'm currently using E72-1, V 031.023. A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!

PS i have done reset, master reset and updated the phone to the newest software available and i have only had the phone a few days.

at several times a day a call alert shows up and the iPhone freezes. The Accept or Cancel buttons offered by the alert does not work nor the the home button, nor the restart button. My only way out is to force-restart the phone. While the call alert is on, (By "call alert" I am referring to a full black screen that displays a message saying something like "you have received a call from ###-####") the iPhone wont go to sleep, it overheats and the battery runs out fast. Maybe related to this problem... who knows... is that my Bluetooth does not work properly. Cant pair with a Jabra EasyGo headset. I have fully restored the system and the problem is still there.

Its still responsive, I can go to the start screen, etc.. but the phone call remains on top with the message "ENDING". After a couple of minutes the phone freezes completely and reboot.
View 19 Replies View RelatedAfter completing a phone call or when the phone times out, it freezes and nothing will unlock it other than pulling the battery out. If I hard press the power button, the Phone Options screen will pop-up but none of the selection will work thru the touch-screen. While the [Phone Options] screen is open I can open the slide keyboard and use the mice-like button to scroll down and take the [Power off] option. Phone will work again after pulling the battery or powering it off thru the keyboard (at least this will save me the time of removing the battery).It seems that both actions (call and time out) send some kind to signal to the screen to lock it. When pressing the power button I will see the slide bar to unlock it but the screen is frozen and nothing will make it work. Luckily for Motorola the phone's warranty just expired (7/28/11).I have done both, Factory data reset and Wipe data/factory reset (Power key + "x") but nothing helped. I have looked out there in we but nothing similar.Does anyone have experienced this? - As you can imagine this is extremely painful and annoying. I ended up increasing the timeout to the max (30 minutes), but obviously jeopardized the battery life. I have to charge the phone almost every 2 hours.

About once a day, on average, my BB Torch locks up. The only way for me to unfreeze is to remove the battery and reinsert. It does not respond to attempts to power off, etc.

I've reset my phone taking the battery out etc, but it's the same situation each time I turn my phone on. It also behaves similarly if it went into sleep mode and I press any button to bring it back to active mode. Sometimes hourglass is displayed and takes a while for this phone to become operational.This was not the case with 9800 or any other blackberries I had in past.Is it normal?
