I use my iMac as an Apple TV server via home sharing. I travel a lot for work. My wife is computer illiterate. Is there a way to create a one touch "app" looking button on her iPhone that she could hit that would do the following:
- Force Quit / Kill all applications on the iMac - Force Restart
I know it seems simple to tell her to go to the computer and restart, but sometimes when she does that applications get hung up and the computer doesn't restart. I have automatic login turned on, so I just need a way to restart the computer without any real user intervention.
I am having frequent issues when I go to the "My apps" section, and doing an "Update All". The applications will begin downloading, reach a certain point of the download (most recently it was 95%), then it seems to pause for 20 seconds, and then it appears to start the download again, usually installing successfully on the second try.
my torch freezes frequently, even when busy with call. the screen sometimes go black, sometimes it looks like the colours have all mixed together, sometimes i have to pull the battery...i did check for software update, it is updated with the latest os 6.
When I connect my iPhone 4S (iOs 5.1) by USB to my iMac (Os X 10.6.8), it won't show up anymore in iTunes/iPhoto/Finder and the battery won't charge either. It used to work, but now it doesn't. I have the latest versions of all the relevant software and I tried every trick I could find on the fora. What can I do next?
We have two iPhone...both 4. Both are running the latest software. We both have the same issue. One is that frequently when you press the home button to escape an app it doesn't work. If you press the on/off button and then go back to the home button it may work, but not always. It takes repeated tries to get a response.
The second, and perhaps related, issue is that calls frequently do not connect. I can select a contact from either my favorites or the contact list. When I select the name the phone appears to be dialing. You hear the ring once, but no more and the call doesn't connect. Then you can't end the call to start over you have to wait for it to decide to end.
I don't know whether to restore both phones or not. We are thinking of visiting the Genius bar, but we're sure they will work perfectly there.
BlackBerry Curve 8250 freezes during a hard restart. Progression bar on black screen stops 2/3 of the way. I've tried removing battery again and same thing happens.I work with this device and absolutely need it to be functioning again
I just setup on my iMac my works Microsoft Exchange Profile so I can view my calendar and email all from macmall.
It works perfect. When i go to do the same settings on my iPhone, for some reason it won't connect. It does ask me for a domain which the imac did not but I leave it blank.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1), 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3
My galaxy s5 got some water damage I think because since then when I go to make a call or accept a call it automatically freezes and restarts. Also the speaker does not work from the damage. Can I not take calls because the speaker doesn't work?
I am getting a message on my iMac that iTunes cannot connect to my iPhone, 0xE800007F. I am using iCloud and I am not sure why iTunes is trying to connect to my phone.
Ive got Motocast USB installed on my Mac OS 10.7.3 and when I connect my Motorola Admiral nothing happens?how to get this to work? I just want to transfer movies and music. I tried android file transfer and that didn't work either.
Whenever I connect my iPhone 3G to my computer, iTunes freezes and is forced to quit.I've tried the following:Re-installing iTunes, iPhone drivers.Used different USB ports.Restarting the computer/iPhone.The first time this happened, I was told that Apple Mobile Device Support had stopped working. Whenever I end AMDS in task manager, iTunes alerts me that AMDS needs to be active, but iTunes doesn't crash. I've used the Error Viewer and the iTunes error number is 1002 (Application Hang). There is no error information for AMDS.I'm using an activated iPhone 3G on firmware 2.2 and my OS is win 7.
I am using Incredible S and every time when I have to connect to 3G network, I have to restart my phone. Earlier it used to connect automatically when there is no active WiFi connection but after some time I had to disable Mobile Network and enable once again.
Later this workaround stopped working and I had to use Enable WiFi Hotspot but now only option is to restart the phone. After restarting it works perfectly fine but once it gets disconnected I have to restart once again.
I remember one of my friend is also facing the same problem. how to get this fixed or is it a problem with Android 2.3?
One thing which may help in debugging when I disable or enable Mobile network, it happens in a fraction of second. I do not get a message "Turning on..." or "Turning off..."
I have purchased e 72 on Thursday 6th May, 2010. In few occasion specially when I am browsing the net on my mobile my phones gets hanged and restart automatically. I have already updated my software.
The phone turns off frequently and turns on only when i plug to an power source. This repeats 5-6 times a day. i tried to hold the power and home button, did not work.
I'm running iOS 5.1.1 on my 2-year old iPhone 3GS. I've had this problem for almost a month now, where all my apps (including the native iPhone apps like messaging, contacts, mail) crash often. When I'm on a phone call, even the call screen crashes and returns to the home screen. In addition to apps crashing, the battery drains ridiculously fast (fully charged iPhone dies in about 2 hours). After various experiments I conducted, I figured out that this doesn't happen if I'm not connected to either wi-fi or 3G.
I noticed this morning that 2 of the apps that I use frequently had disappeared from my phone. I have the iPhone 5c and I've only had it since July and have not had any other problems like this before. Why this happened? Or if there is something wrong with my phone?
iPhone 5, running on ios 7.1.2 upgraded to latest version, rebooting automatically during use (with or without turning ON WiFi). It reboots too frequently while connected to Wi-Fi making it unusable.Â
While taking incoming calls, it shows a blurred Purple image before connecting.Â
I have restored the phone software also, still wont resolve.
