Ive got Motocast USB installed on my Mac OS 10.7.3 and when I connect my Motorola Admiral nothing happens?how to get this to work? I just want to transfer movies and music. I tried android file transfer and that didn't work either.
View 5 RepliesWhen I receive a Direct Connect my Admiral does not make a chirp noise as my traditional nextel phones have made. All it does is vibrate and make the low beep, the tone that lets you know the other person is done talking. This is very inconvenient as now every time my phone vibrates I have to look and make sure I didn't get a direct connect. I have searched through the phone to find a setting to change but have had no success so far.
View 4 Replies View RelatedExcited to finally replace my old I860 iden phone with a new smartphone, I got the Admiral. Maybe I am missing something, but the direct connect feature is basically unusable when there is any background noise. There has to be a way to make this louder, If I play music on the phone, its plenty loud, if I use the speaker phone for a normal call, again plenty loud, but if I try to direct connect someone, I have to hold the phone up to my ear and then I can barely hear them when driving in a truck. I love the phone, and unless I am missing a setting, the volume makes it unusable for me.

I called CS yesterday and the girl I spoke with did not seem to understand what I was asking and transfered me to someone who was not available.Anyway, on the plan that we just switched to, Sprint is charging $5 per line for Unlimited Direct Connect, but my online account also shows "Direct Connect on Sprint" for a $0 fee per line. If I am only planning to DC my husband, who is on Sprint with me, do I have to have Unlimited DC on my line for $5? I'm not going to be DCing anyone on the nextel/iDEN network.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSoftware upgrade fixed many problems I was having with the Admiral. One thing seemed to change, though. Whenever I call a contact via Direct Connect, a menu will come up and ask "Remember this choice". If you check off the menu and then press the Direct Connect number that you wish to be associated with that contact, it doesn't remember the number that you selected. The next time you pull up that same contact to DC, you get the same menu, asking "Remember this choice".

I set up the first device and now when i connect the second phone it does not recognize that the motocast software is already loaded. I also tried to use the same login info on the phone and got an error that it is an unauthorized device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had a strange, but very frustrating behavior on my phone twice recently. My alarm will go off, but it will not make any sound whatsoever. I have the app alarm clock extreme and the regular android alarm. During this time, neither will make any sound. The default alarm will vibrate, but alarm clock extreme will not - although it should. A soft reset will fix the problem. Additionally, my ringtones will not make any sound when someone is calling. I'm trying to remember how the behavior was this morning, but I feel like pressing the volume up and down keys while the alarm was going off first snoozed my alarm, but then beeped to let me know the volume level.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Admiral freezes/lags when dialing/redialing and the Touchscreen is unresponsive. Its really bad on missed calls. I can hit the green dial icon 20 times in a row and nothing happens. Finally wait for about 30-60 seconds and it will dial.
I routinely reboot. Not running alot of apps. Latest firmware. I've also noticed the browser is slow to render webpages no matter how fast the connection is.
I bought my Xyboard 10.1 on 3/16/12. On 3/24/12 I attempted to sign in to MotoCast. I successfully set up my account on my laptop and chose the folders I wanted to sync. I then opened the MotoCast app on my tablet, entered my email address and password and received the following error notification: Unable to connect at this time, try again later.

View 15 Replies View RelatedJust got a Sprint Admiral, paired my bluetooth with it easily enough (Blueant T1), but at random, the phone will disconnect and reconnect bluetooth.I have actually watched the bluetooth icon go dark, then light back up so I know it is not an issue with the earpiece itself. It is becoming very annoying, and talking to others who have this phone, they have reported the same issue with other bluetooth earpieces.

However Google Play states that the Motorola Admiral and the MOTOACTV app are not compatible. And while the latest release states that the MOTOACTV app should work with all Android 2.1 and higher, the Motorola rep that I called (level two, ID 5545142) states that the app will only work with the RAZR, which is contrary to everything put out about the MOTOACTV. I'd be interested to know if this is correct.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

When I connect my iPhone 4S (iOs 5.1) by USB to my iMac (Os X 10.6.8), it won't show up anymore in iTunes/iPhoto/Finder and the battery won't charge either. It used to work, but now it doesn't. I just setup on my iMac my works Microsoft Exchange Profile so I can view my calendar and email all from macmall.
It works perfect. When i go to do the same settings on my iPhone, for some reason it won't connect. It does ask me for a domain which the imac did not but I leave it blank.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's actually starting to get annoying. what is happening is the downloaded ringtones that i have had for about 4 phones now are not working correctly, but thats not the weird part. the thing is its only for CALLS, and thats it. Any kind of phone call ringtone (default or contact) is not working after about half a day of being unplugged from the charger, and the only way to correct this is restart the phone. is anyone else having this problem? It also seems it does it to the ringtones that came with the phone, but just phone calls. TXT, facebook
