I set up a MotoCast ID via the desktop software and am able to login to mymotocast and see my files, but when I try to add my MotoCast ID account on my Droid Razr Maxx I get an error stating: "Unable to connect at this time, try again later."
View 15 RepliesI bought my Xyboard 10.1 on 3/16/12. On 3/24/12 I attempted to sign in to MotoCast. I successfully set up my account on my laptop and chose the folders I wanted to sync. I then opened the MotoCast app on my tablet, entered my email address and password and received the following error notification: Unable to connect at this time, try again later.

I set up the first device and now when i connect the second phone it does not recognize that the motocast software is already loaded. I also tried to use the same login info on the phone and got an error that it is an unauthorized device.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently tried changing my MotoCast password to get to use the MotoActV app on my phone but somehow i've managed to lose what the new password is. I've given up on MotoActV now.
When I try to log into motocast on my droid razr, it says password invalid. If I try a few times it eventually says my account is now locked. Customer service really was no help but it is locked out for about 24 hours.
So 2 days later I go to the motocast site that allows me to change my password by sending me an email with a link to reset my password. The problem is the link goes to a blank page, thus not allowing me to change my password. My MotoCast program on my PC opens and seems to run by saying i'm logged on but using that program to reset my password takes me to the same page that sends me an email. This is the beginning of the email link to reset my password, does anyone see anything wrong with it (i've changed the pkey for security reasons in this email and left off the email part)?[url]...
For some reason I can only view my computer files through the Files app not the Music or Gallery app. It's a hassle to have to go folder to folder to listen to music. if any can tell me how to view them through the Music app. Im using a Droid Razr. Yes the little icon at the top has my home computer checkmarked. Yes my home computer is labled "Online" and yes I'm using WiFi/4G.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."
View 9 Replies View RelatedEverytime I connect my phone to a PC to import pictures, etc.. after it is properly ejected, the phone will reboot continuously. It gets to the home screen and then will shut off and turn on again. It does this at least 15-20 times before it will stay stable. Once it stays on, I then have to reset my ringtones and wallpapers. Is there a way to keep it from doing this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've suddenly started getting problems with my laptop seeing my Xoom. when I connect via the supplied usb cable my laptop makes the "bing bong" noise so I know it is aware of the Xoom but it no longer appears in the file explorer window. Also, in a different kind of problem, when I tried to pair the Xoom with my " Document to go" app it won't see the Xoom either. It bleats on about going to settings on the Xoom and checking the usb settings but there is nothing in the Xoom settings menu about usb at all.transfering files to/from the Xoom to my laptop is getting to be a right pain in the backside. Any solutions before one of these items gets thrown in the bin? I just want to transfer files, Office docs mainly, to my Xoom. How hard can it be?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a motoactv which works great, but when I try and connect it to a computer it doesn't connect properly. The initial connection via usb managed to install the USB Composite Device driver, but failed to install the Motorola Networking Interface and the Motorola ADB Interface. Nothing else happens. Whenever I connect or disconnect I do get the notification sound, but again nothing else. It does not even appear in my computer. I tried system restore to a previous point to remove the drivers and try again, but on the initial connection of the device exactly the same thing happened again. I have tried installing motocast but have had no results with that either.

I really now need it to connect to Verizon. When I take it into the store the techies are at a loss. Should I contact Motorala directly? Tried to connect to home modem (RTA1046VW) and the modem disconnected from the internet and would not connect unless I turned off the phone wifi. View 2 Replies View RelatedI used the Moto software to back up my phone yesterday, and since then it won't connect to wi-fi. It finds the signal, starts looking for an IP address, then stips the process. I've tried to turn off 3G and 4G, together and in combinations, updated PRL and profile, but to no avail. Even rebooted the router to make sure something wasn't wrong with it and other devices in the house are working just fine. Not sure if this has anything to do with the backup, but it's a problem I've never had before.

It fails with an error that says failed to install something called "ADB" drivers. The phone and car find each other, the phone asks for the PIN code and it says connected. View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week i had my Defy running UK T-Mobile Froyo suddenly stop being able to use Facebook or Twitter, despite other applications (HotUkDeals, Browser, Tesco ) all being able to connect to the net - it happened at the same time.I have since cleared the cache on both, uninstalled, re-installed, and all i keep getting when trying to login to FB is: "An error occurred during sign in" and on Twitter: "An error occured when signing in. Please try again later".
Is there a setting buried somewhere that might be causing this? Is it something like an SSL Cert becoming expired? Really annoyed by it as it means no FB messaging during the day.
I have not been able to connect to my router and keep getting the error incorrect password or other error.I have tried power cycling my router, removing the password, changing the password to something simpler and motoactv stlil cannot connect.I am 100% sure the password is correct and all my other devices can connect to the router fine as well.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to connect to my shared folders on a Windows XP machine through the My Files app, but it keeps saying the login is incorrect. The shared folders are the typical XP Shared Documents in My Computer, and I can access them through EStrongs File Explorer easily, and the PC has a username and password so that's not the problem. It doesn't matter what I type in for that anyways.Shouldn't this work out of the box? It seems like I have to jump through some unspecified hoops here, and there's no clue what I'm supposed to do. It looks like a useless feature at this point.
