For some reason I can only view my computer files through the Files app not the Music or Gallery app. It's a hassle to have to go folder to folder to listen to music. if any can tell me how to view them through the Music app. Im using a Droid Razr. Yes the little icon at the top has my home computer checkmarked. Yes my home computer is labled "Online" and yes I'm using WiFi/4G.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.

But if I'm in email and want to add an attachment, if I select Gallery it only shows me the pics on my phone - no option to select Motocast files. Is that the way it's supposed to be or do I need to change something. It sure would be nice to access those files for attachments.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Droid RAZR, and whenever i try to access a file from my computer with an app (gallery and music) motocast on my computer will remain idle.
When I try to play music the time to the left will blink, but on my computer motocast will say its idle. But it works when i go to mymotocast.com. It worked when i originally got the phone and installed motocast. I've even tried to resart both my phone and computer, and i can't think of anything else to try.
My music directory wont load, but my other folders will. I do have alot of music that I have iTunes keep organized, but when I first installed Motocast it worked fine, and it hasnt since the new update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently missing photo and music, not really missing them, If I open ES File Explorer and open .sdcard/DCIM/Camera all my photo are there. They just don't show up in Gallery. I can open them from ES File Explorer fine. Same with Music, I can open /sdcard/Music and all my music is there but when I open the Music App, it reports"You don't have any music in your library." I can open any song from the file explorer.Also I can no longer see any files in storage when I connect my Xoom via USB to my Win7 pc, the internal storage shows up but is empty.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy home service is very good (Verizon FiOS with 35Mbps up and 35Mbps down, verified speeds with speedtest.net). The area where I live has 4G coverage, and my phone shows a 4G connection is established. I don't see any bandwidth throttling via the Verizon router at home, so the Motocast client on my PC should have full access to the available bandwidth.Is it possible to improve the streaming speed, or is this just an overloaded radio tower in my area and I'm out of luck?

Now the My Music folder shows the files there yet grayed out and none of them usable.I can only think to delete my music app and reload it to clear out the ghosted files . (if delete / reload is even possible)I am able to load other files and play them though.The internal memory was formatted and the SD card also yet no change.Tried to find the files yet do not know where they may be cached / records of the old files held.Also, Is remove and reinstall My music app straight forward such as delete and reload it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMotoCast Wireless needs an option to only use music files from "my_music/folder/path/" or, alternatively, only use music files from my iTunes library.As it stands, MotoCast Wireless settings ask nebulously for the paths to, "[any and all] folders containing media and documents you want to be remotely accessible."Because some programs keep files that are technically "media" type files in the documents path, my MotoCast Library online shows up with a pantload of "songs" by "unknown artist".My meticulously maintained music library has ZERO tracks by "unknown artist". Ditto for "unknown album". Same for "songs" with no name or no genre. MotoCast is, without asking me, including all sorts of sound effect and video clip and other mish-mash of media riff raff that it has tumbled upon in my document folders..It's nice that you want MotoCast to be an all'round helpful product, but the document functions need to be separated from the music and the pictures, and each of those should be separated from the documents.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently tried changing my MotoCast password to get to use the MotoActV app on my phone but somehow i've managed to lose what the new password is. I've given up on MotoActV now.
When I try to log into motocast on my droid razr, it says password invalid. If I try a few times it eventually says my account is now locked. Customer service really was no help but it is locked out for about 24 hours.
So 2 days later I go to the motocast site that allows me to change my password by sending me an email with a link to reset my password. The problem is the link goes to a blank page, thus not allowing me to change my password. My MotoCast program on my PC opens and seems to run by saying i'm logged on but using that program to reset my password takes me to the same page that sends me an email. This is the beginning of the email link to reset my password, does anyone see anything wrong with it (i've changed the pkey for security reasons in this email and left off the email part)?[url]...
I bought my Xyboard 10.1 on 3/16/12. On 3/24/12 I attempted to sign in to MotoCast. I successfully set up my account on my laptop and chose the folders I wanted to sync. I then opened the MotoCast app on my tablet, entered my email address and password and received the following error notification: Unable to connect at this time, try again later.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

When I received it, as I was holding the phone upright (portrait) the photo was showing sideways. I rotated the phone, and the photo rotated yet again so its again sideways to the orientation of the phone. The only way to see the photo in the correct orientation is to hold the phone upside down, i.e. hard buttons at the top. I never noticed this before and it doesn't do it with pictures that were already on the phone. I looked at the one he took on his phone and it is in the correct orientation. I opened the picture both in the stock messaging app and in Handcent and its the same in both.

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

I have 3.1 update, and 9.5 gb free on internal storage. It happens with on device MP3's as well.Not a wi-fi issue as it happens with wi-fi off. Any thoughts fellow Xoomers? I did search the forums already, and saw some mention of Andro Explorer causing this

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn car with Blue Tooth to listen to an audio book or the XM Radio app, the music app (That cam pre-installed on the Droid) starts without an invitation and plays over wanted audio. The app can't be removed or disabled. I "chatted with a Motorola Support rep., and was told to do a total reset. After taking a lot of time doing this, nothing changed.

It wont play all my music. The app will play each song individually when manually selected but when on the song list is plays one to two songs after in order then jumps to the songs listed under "I" and repeats that segment (the songs that title starts with I) instead of staying in order, it has also done this with "M" once, have tried clearing cashe and data of the app with no change in result. Has anyone else had this problem (P.S. I'ma give up saying I wont by Motorola anymore, had the perfect chance to switch over when I signed the contract for 4G service and... bought Moto, just the brand me and my family have used as long as I can remember)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded two game apps (monster squad and i can't remember the other one now) and they were both saving a buttload of images to my gallery. These images were included in the app size or if they're duplicates or what I just don't want to be able to see them and I don't want them being downloaded (if they are) after app installation and using more data and space. In the photos app they were all just sitting there below all the photos I've taken and in the Gallery app they were all divided into one pic per album spanning back to almost a year before I actually owned this phone.
I've gone through settings all morning trying to find something relevant and I uninstalled both apps but the images remained. I had to use my computer to delete them all quickly otherwise it would have taken AGES to tick them all and delete via phone.
