I have Xperia Neo L bought it recently. It crashes and music, gallery even app stops running and it hangs. I have to restart it to make it normal again. what should i do?

So I've had the LMY78I build of 5.1 for a couple weeks now. Everything was awesome. Now, my flashlight shuts itself off at random when I'm using it, and I can't get it back without a reboot. Issue 2: my Google Play Music crashes, still. Well, not really a crash. More like its freezing. I open the app and half the time, the last song playing, that's supposed to be @ bottom of screen, is not there. So I have to go into Settings>Apps>Google Music Player, force stop it, then it works just fine again. One other thing I found very odd with my phone...not an issue, just an observation. A few days after installing the update OTA, my remaining ROM/drive space went from a lowly 2.4GB all the way up to 5.5GB free. Nothing was deleted At All. I mean, I cleared the cache for a few apps, but not 3GB worth!

I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently encountered issues with the photo gallery and the media player on my nokia n900 where all the photos, music and videos are not detected by them. If I were to browse to them via file manager, I can find what I'm looking for but if I go into "photos" in the main menu, it just displays "(no images)" (there are images on the phone) and in Media Player (main menu again) it just shows all 4 icons but shows "(no songs)" or "(no videos)" under music, video and shuffle all songs (again, there is music and videos on the phone). Internet radios still show 48 stations.
If I were to use file manager to open images, music or videos, they run normally as if their programs can detect them but they are still undetectable when gone into "photos" and "media player". Even with music, if I play it via file manager, hit back to go to the media player menu (with the 4 icons), it still shows no songs or videos, despite it playing one!Can anybody help me resolve this?Firmware version = 3.2010.02-8.203.1 (recently reflashed, issue was not occuring when I had the latest vodafone uk firmware version, forgot it's version number)Edit:Forgot to add, this happened gradually. These did work at first after the reflash, photo gallery went a week ago the media player stopped working today.
My music player doesn't show any music i add now. I can see and play those music files through OI FILE MANAGER. It is Android 4.0.4 Also i had excluded one of my personnel folder from media scan. but still it shows that folder and its contents in pictures.

I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?
I had some files that are recordings from teachers in my institute (a lot of those) and when I'm listen music, the music player add this files in the list of "music files" this is really anoying.
How can I set the folders where The music player searchs for music?? I tried adding the .nomedia file but that did nothing.

Problem with music player in xperia ray is that, the same music is replayed after it reaches the end. I can not find a way to tell him, goto the next music in the folder.

Unfortunately, having stored them, I can't find a way back in to edit this information. I downloaded some stuff and didn't bother with the artist to start with as it was in the title. However, if you don't enter the artist then the track doesn't appear in the alphabetic list.
