I wonder if any 5530 users (or any other similar phone) have experienced this problem I have been getting occasionally. The phone will ring, I'll answer the call and have the conversation, no problem. But when it comes to ending the call, the screen freezes with 'Joe Bloggs Calling' on the screen and I have to turn the phone off to resolve it. (no response from the screen)
View 12 RepliesI just bought my Nokia 5530.There are a couple of problems I have been having though- sometimes when I am making a call and want to end it before the person answers, the screen becomes unresponsive. Also sometimes when I am in the middle of the call and want to access the dialler (for typing in an extensions for example), the screen does not automatically come back up from its 'dark mode' and the only way i am able to end the call is turning it off completely.Is there something I should do to prevent this, or is my phone just defective? Help is needed because I think my local warranty is going to be up soon!

It even shuts down when I dial a number and the other side picks up.The only possible way using my 5530 as phone is by enabling the loudspeaker.Are there any updates fixing that problem? Does anyone else have the same problem?

I have a question.Whenever the phone touch screen is locked, and if i get a call, i am not able to answer or reject it directly from touch screen, unless i manually unlock the screen using right side lever. Although i can see the Answer/Reject option in screen, when i touch them they don't work. Also the Green/Red options at bottom of touch screen are also not working.Similarly, when i set an alarm, i cannot snooze or stop the alarm immediately in touch screen when the alarm rings, unless i unlock the touch screen again manually.Can someone help how to get this working, or is it the design?

First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?

Only way of calling is going thru contacts within the menu and if it is not there then you have to set it up which is extremely long and laborious! I have updated software and reset factory settings to no avail phone is only 2 months old!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had 2 times issue that phone screen freezes during call. No keys helped, but ON/OFFswitch. Updated to last version of v40.0.005. Don't remember the exact conditions or sequece of actions, just got unpleasant case. I noticed also that batteryindicator showed 1 stripe of battery. After restart , the battery was full. Is this expected action for this phone? Should Itake it back to service? My phone is used ~1 week, so there can't be any issues caused by wrong usage.

Great phone, but there's a problem with Nokia Messaging (or Nokia Email, I don't know - see screen below).I've already set it up with her Gmail account, but when she tries to check her emails, instead of this nice screen, it takes shows the phone's Messaging folder, where there's no HTML for emails (and, I think, no push mail support).Besides, both the "Email" and the "Email setup" icons lead to the same place (setting up a new account). In my 5800, it shows the screen above, which has a much better interface.

A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI basically turn on my phone and then screen is not touchable anymore and message comes up with ' 2 new messages' and i try to show it but i cant because the touch screen is not working. It just happened randomly and i only got this phone at Christmas. I dont know why it has started doing this and the only app that works is camera and the middle button that looks like a dash at the bottom of the phone with the red and green button thats all that is working. i was trying to see if there is a way i can fix this problem or can i take it back to carphone warehouse and get a new one?

Baaaad choice! There is just no way of putting it on the phone without any air bubbles and even then you have to make a custom cut around the sensor, so as not to block it. Even after i managed to do that, there was a small piece of tape sticking to the film, which you're suppose to remove after stickin it to the screen. That tape left such a horrible mark on the film that i just ripped the film out.I was just wondering if anybody bought a cover that works or managed to apply it without the air bubbles? I'm afraid to buy one of those leather casings with a plastic screen as I've read that some users have problems with their sensor because of that.
I have my lumia 800 for a week, and now its happening something strange.. When I'm in a call for some time, and I want to end it the phone doesn't let me. Its still responsive, I can go to the start screen, etc.. but the phone call remains on top with the message "ENDING". After a couple of minutes the phone freezes completely and reboot.

Problem: BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occurs constantly.
I think the problem is the phone drivers (via cable). The program itself shouldn't be it.I made a system recovery, which worked. And my computer was restored. But when I tried once again the same problem occurred.
How can I use the phone with the computer without getting the BSOD?
I have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post to this forum and i am really hoping for some help. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Phone. It is about 7 months old and has developed a really annoying and frustrating fault over the past few days - progressively no getting worse by the hour it would seem. The phone freezes after receiving a text, phone call, internet usage or just generally pressing one of the function buttons. Some times if you wait long enough it does free itself but more often than not it will end up me removing the battery to reset the handset. Nothing appears to work properly on it anymore - the battery appears to drain within hours of charge. Really fed up with it now. Carphone Warehouse and Orange are blamming each other ( no change there). Yes i can take it to a repair centre who will either do it on site ro send away. I have completed a soft reset but has made no difference. I am now tempted to do a complete hard reset once backing up my contents etc
