Nokia :: 5530 / Switches Off When Making Or Receiving Call
Mar 25, 2010I have strange problem with nokia 5530.Its just switches off when making/recieving a call.I read nokia discussion of Europe and USA. there are number users who have same problems i have it now.I've gone to nokia care and hope they can give me a perfect solutions.As i have read all the posts about this problem , I am bit worried whether my mobile will be repaired or not.

Jan 19, 2010When I updated my 5530 XpressMusic phone to V20.0.080 it began to shut down when I pick up the phone. It even shuts down when I dial a number and the other side picks up.The only possible way using my 5530 as phone is by enabling the loudspeaker.Are there any updates fixing that problem? Dec 19, 2015This is my first HTC and everything was going great. i bought a dot matrix case for it and everything worked great. now sometimes when i make or receive a call the loud speaker activates automatically. it does it most of the time not with every outgoing / incoming call. i have trawled a few forums and people are saying it could be to do with google chrome and to uninstall it but i can't see how or where to uninstall it on the M9. I have taken the dot matrix cover off and it is still doing it.

Jul 3, 2010The 5530 is a nice little phone with nearly everything. Only disappoint is that when im browsing the internet, it would randomly shut the browser.Also i have 4GB memory card and lets say its 3GB full, and the phone lags. I've updated it to the latest firmware also.

Aug 22, 2011E6 #1 (made in Finland): had to bring it to repair service because of pathetic battery lifetime and no notification light.Got a new one 2 weeks later:6 #2 (made in Hungary): had to bring it to repair service, as the screen blanked out when making or receiving a call (proximity sensor broken?). Notification light issue unchanged, Couldn't test battery as it went back to repair after one day only.Got a new one 2 weeks later (i.e. today): #3 (made in China):first of all I upgraded to OS V22. Needless to say notification light didn't change. Besides:- battery cover wobbly, a fraction of a millimeter too short. Chinese quality issue?- bluetooth doesn't work properly. A connected and authorized headset (that worked well on the previous 2 E6s, an X7, an E72, a Blackberry etc.) doesn't connect when being turned on. Have to connect manually when wanting to make call.

Will HAVE TO look at alternatives, I just can't continue like that.@NOKIA: I really really really wanted to like this phone. Mar 1, 2010I have had my nokia 5530 for over 5 and half months but then recently yesterday in the morning when i woke up my phone was ringing so when i answered it just switched off itself. It wasn't even getting switched on. So i charged it and after 1 minute it did switch on so i thought it was a battery problem but when i tried to call it switched off again. Now tomorrow I will go to Nokia Care but the problem is that my father had got the phone for me from Spain in September the time when it wasn't even launched here. So do guys think will they repair it for free or will i get charged for it?please reply.

I've restarted it and done all that stuff to wipe it and stuff.. but its still not working, but my old sony phone works perfect for receiving texts so it cant be the network =/, any ideas?Sorry, ive rather wrote this out really quickly because im annoyed because this is the second time this phone has screwed up on me. Mar 14, 2010The main reason i bought the phone.Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short.It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)!If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever

Jul 5, 2010My phone won't let me make or receive any calls, like when i go to call someone it comes up with ringing screen but then turns off and same for when people ring me ; it will come up with the screen telling me they're ringing but if i answer it just turns itself off. i have tried resetting it but it doesnt work - all my software is up to date so i cant update it. it was fine saturday morning but sunday morning wouldnt let me ring.
