BB Bold 9700 :: No Sound When Making Or Receiving Call
Aug 7, 2010
recently my phone can't hear anything during calls but when i put it on speaker it works fine. i can play music and stuff it's just during calls. is there something that I can do?
When making calls, the sound will keep continuously cutting out, and the icon in the top left corner will keep flicking back from the headphone icon to the regular icon, even though no headphones are in the jack...
Can you someone really explain how to take off the "unknown number" when dialling anyone? Its NOT the "show my number" on the calls menu , it appears when you are making a call. Please help.
I have another question. How do you block your number when you make a call? I live in Toronto and when I type in *67 before the number it doesn't seem to go through. Is there another way that I don't know of?
I just received a new S5 on a warranty issue from Verizon. Same battery, SIM, and SD card as old phone. When I make or receive a call i have absolutely no sound. If I turn on speakerphone all sound returns. If I turn it off, no sounds and the person on the other end sometimes gets a high-pitched ringing. Could it be a headphone jack issue?
It's my 3rd time of this problem 1 time I took assistance of nokia care center but but they couldn't permanently solve it 2nd time I tried Google the problem and it says to restart if nothing happens restore it, this worked that time, but now the device doesn't responding any of this.
I have strange problem with nokia 5530.Its just switches off when making/recieving a call.I read nokia discussion of Europe and USA. there are number users who have same problems i have it now.I've gone to nokia care and hope they can give me a perfect solutions. As i have read all the posts about this problem , I am bit worried whether my mobile will be repaired or not.
My friend tried to call me a couple of time today, but every time I hit the answer button the phone turned itself. I wasn't able to call her either,On the screen where the connectivity shows, it shows me the sign for connectivity and an E.I couldn't find anything in the manual or online.

This is my first HTC and everything was going great. i bought a dot matrix case for it and everything worked great. now sometimes when i make or receive a call the loud speaker activates automatically. it does it most of the time not with every outgoing / incoming call. i have trawled a few forums and people are saying it could be to do with google chrome and to uninstall it but i can't see how or where to uninstall it on the M9. I have taken the dot matrix cover off and it is still doing it.
Sometimes I cannot hear the voice after making or receiving call. However, it resumed to normal after restoring IOS, how can I fix this problem permanently? I am using iphone4 with IOS 5.1
E6 #1 (made in Finland): had to bring it to repair service because of pathetic battery lifetime and no notification light.Got a new one 2 weeks later:6 #2 (made in Hungary): had to bring it to repair service, as the screen blanked out when making or receiving a call (proximity sensor broken?). Notification light issue unchanged, Couldn't test battery as it went back to repair after one day only.Got a new one 2 weeks later (i.e. today): #3 (made in China):first of all I upgraded to OS V22. Needless to say notification light didn't change. Besides:- battery cover wobbly, a fraction of a millimeter too short. Chinese quality issue?- bluetooth doesn't work properly. A connected and authorized headset (that worked well on the previous 2 E6s, an X7, an E72, a Blackberry etc.) doesn't connect when being turned on. Have to connect manually when wanting to make call.
- screen blanks out when making or receiving a call. SAME ISSUE as on the Hungarian version! Will bring it back to Nokia repair tomorrow. Will HAVE TO look at alternatives, I just can't continue like that.@NOKIA: I really really really wanted to like this phone. But the design failures that you made (notification, vibration, battery) and your quality control are just PATHETIC, MISERABLE, ANNOYING. I don't have words. Where has this great company gone?.S. will have to downgrade my positive Amazon rating tonight significantly. I can no longer recommend anyone to buy this phone.y Nokia history:2110->8110->6110->6150->8210->8850->6310i->8910->6600->6230->6260->3230->E60->E50->E65->E71->E55->E72->N97mini->C7->E6->X7->E6->?
When making or receiving a call I cannot be heard although I can hear the other person. Is this a problem that is fixable or a sign that it's time for a new phone?
I just switched from an iphone 3g to a TMO Bold 9700 a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I didn't do it but all of a sudden upon receipt of a new e-mail, I get a audible alert and I can't find anywhere to turn it off. I did discover that the iphone seems a little more user friendly when it comes to path of some of their settings though.
This issue has been happning for a while, but for the last week or so it has been happening more frequently. A phone call arrives and sends the phone into a reset, similar to what QuickPull would do. No open apps, no error message, it just resets.I have searched a bit, but have not found anyone posting a similar issue so far. I run the stock T-Mobile OS, and a few extra RIM and 3rd party apps.
I have no sound when receiving a call through the earpiece. The caller can hear me and the bottom speakers work fine. I can only hear when using headphones or speaker mode. Have tried restarting, tapping the earphone speaker, blowing into it..
Its been a while since I posted on here but I woke up this morning to a phone call and while trying to talk to the person on the other end my blackberry kept thinking I was plugging in and unplugging a wired headset making it impossible to communicate. When I actually plugged in my wired headset it worked fine but from then on any calls without the headset have the same issue.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I recently updated a ton of system and user apps however the phone was working fine until this morning.I've done a battery pull, blown compressed air into the audio jack itself, I've restored the phone in desktop manager, and I've even taken the phone apart and made sure the contacts for the audio jack weren't obscured but to no avail.Do you think this could be a hardware issue with the jack or is it more likely to be a software issue? I'm thinking hardware considering it works fine with the wired headset in place
Anyone have problems making and receiving phone calls having the screen immediately disappear so you can't use speaker mute or flash and other options on the touch screen? This just appeared, phone was working last night well now no touch screen using the phone.Checked all the settings all seems to be OK.This just happens in the phone mode all else is working.
the incoming call alert is not working.... no sound comes during an incoming call I checked and the phone is not in silent or vibration mode. the ringtone works when i select one but no sound durinh an incoming call.
