Nokia :: 5530 / Shuts Down Automatically / Warranty Valid?
Mar 1, 2010
I have had my nokia 5530 for over 5 and half months but then recently yesterday in the morning when i woke up my phone was ringing so when i answered it just switched off itself. It wasn't even getting switched on. So i charged it and after 1 minute it did switch on so i thought it was a battery problem but when i tried to call it switched off again. Now tomorrow I will go to Nokia Care but the problem is that my father had got the phone for me from Spain in September the time when it wasn't even launched here. So do guys think will they repair it for free or will i get charged for it?please reply.
When I updated my 5530 XpressMusic phone to V20.0.080 it began to shut down when I pick up the phone. It even shuts down when I dial a number and the other side picks up.The only possible way using my 5530 as phone is by enabling the loudspeaker. Are there any updates fixing that problem? Does anyone else have the same problem?
The internet browser doesnt work anymore. I tab or a bookmark or the internet and theres not even page that opens, I get a white or black screen and then It goes directly to the menu again.I reformated the phone it but still doesn't work.
The 5530 is a nice little phone with nearly everything. Only disappoint is that when im browsing the internet, it would randomly shut the browser. Also i have 4GB memory card and lets say its 3GB full, and the phone lags. I've updated it to the latest firmware also.
I bought my nokia 5233 sometime in january it worked fine until april or so, it would switch off automatically. At first I disregarded it thinking that i would have pressed the power button by mistake.Since two days this phenomenon is happening atleast about 7-8 times.I wouldn't like to take my phone to the Nokia care yet coz here in my country the Nokia care guys try to fleece you saying something has gone wrong which is not covered by warranty.Would any of you guys help me in diagnosing the problem so that I can fix it myself before I take it to nokia care?
My E71 started giving me a new problem since the last few days:Firstly, I was not able to charge the battery. I succeeded after fiddling with the charging point, there were flashes on the screen, but it resumed charging.I was not able to start up the phone - pressing the power button didn't seem to work. Even taking the battery out and re-trying was like a trial and error method. It works, but I have to try more than once. The phone switches off automatically. If there is movement, e.g. walking with the phone in my pocket, it is definitely going to be switched off.If the phone lies unused for a relatively long period of time, e.g. 30 min, the power saver screen hangs up and I have resort to taking the battery out and follow the entire process. This seems to have started all of a sudden without any prior warning. I shall be grateful to anyone who can help me address this problem.
I lost my charger but I found another charger that fits which belongs to my headset. When I tried to charge with that charger the charging light on the side comes on. After a while the white screen with the nokia sign appears for few seconds and then shuts off automatically and the charging light comes off. When i tried to use the power button it doesn't turn on. Also one time it turned on with the white screen with the nokia sign and the battery logo was displayed. The battery was empty. Do you think its the charger fault or something happen to the phone.
I have a strange problem with 5530.. I go into settings --> personal --> Themes and then themes open and shows me options like General, Menu, Home Scr. Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.
I am using 5530xm, whenever I send a text msg, the delivery report stays in the memory till the msg delivery is pending, but as soon as it gets delivered, it vanishes,
I have a Nokia 5530 since christmas with latest firmware update. My problem is that when i click into the Internet, the screen just flashes and automatically closes. I tried it with connecting to Ovi Store and the same thing happens. I am using my wireless modem to connect to the Internet and it has never once given me a problem, just today it started acting up. Another detail is when i use other applications such as Software Update or using Ovi maps, it will download easily, but just wont open web pages even though it is connected,
Since last couple of days my 9360 Curve is getting automatically shuts off. This is observed especially when using Whatsapp..I ensure clearing the logs periodically.
The camera worked fine for several pictures. The camera opens but any time I want to take the picture it shuts down. Sufficient memory available to save the pictures.

I have purchased a E6-00 about 4 months back. This phone has a tendency of automatically shutting down. It often shuts down when I am using it. It always shuts down when I keep it idle for a while.I have visited Nokia care twice, once they restore the factory settings. The problem persistedNext time around they upgrade the software to Bell OS. The problem still persists.Their technicians have absolutely no idea about what the problem is and I am stuck up with a defective but expensive handset.
When I am calling or getting called my phone automatically turns up/down the volume till maximum. Means, when I try to turn down the volume a little it automatically keeps on turning down till minimum (and the way arround). Even if I don't change the volume it automatically turns up.
When the phone reaches maximum volume it always 'beeps'.
My nexus 5 running on marshmallow automatically shuts off its screen and no matter how much i press my power button screen doesn't turn on but all functions r working ( i mean i can attend calls by sliding blindly) at last i have to reboot my device by approximation....
I use my phone, sit it down, and noticed that 30 minutes later the display is still lit up. I have just noticed this in the last 30 days.how I can get it back to shutting off by itself?
I am having a problem these days my black berry 8310 gets shuts off automatically when i talk to any one for more than 3 min and then i have to plug in the charger to turn it on for shorter duration (1 min or 2 min) its fine.
i met problems with my SE C902. It will close off by itself randomly. I have tried to update the software, find another battery, use others' card. Unfortunately, my SE still do what she wants. She work off as she wish, but i can't.
After the 5.1.1 OTA update my phone randomly shuts off (like pulling the plug off an appliance). I already did the factory reset and it still has this problem.
First, it drains my battery. It drops 15% in an hour even though I don't use it.Second, when I click the "Edit" button for photos, my iphone shuts down automatically and turns on again. I can't edit any photos!Third, I can't click the "Camera" button beside the "Slide To Unlock" button. It just doesn't work!Last, my iphone becomes heated easily.
I've had my E72-2 for a few months and I am quite satisfied with it. I thought that I would check if there was an update for it.I typed in *#0000# and this is what was displayed. Then I typed the Product code as found under the battery 0591928110914c into the Nokia web page where you can find out if there ia an update available. This is what I get.--That is not a valid product code. Please check your product code and type it again. For example, most codes begin '05xxxxx'
I updated my Ovi Suite from 2.0 to 2.1.0.87. Now, when I go to messaging, click on Add recipient and select the name of a contact for which the number is +XX(YY)ZZZZZZZ (XX being country code, and YY being area code), I get an error message saying "Recipient not valid" and "Recipient "<+XX(YY)ZZZZZZZ>" is not valid. Cannot send the message."This is a serious regression from previous version... and plain WRONG. THis is the standard international form for representing a nubmber. It used to work with 2.0, it's the format Outlook automatically formats numbers to.This needs to be fixed very fast.
I have a Nokia2730c mobile phone. I have tried to download some software (like facebook, uc browser etc) fm ur nokia mobi store (with loging in my registered acct) but result always 'no valid certificate' or 'certificate not on ur sim' nd also ovi store is shown connection failed.
Slightly random, but a mate of mine recently bought an n900 from hong kong on ebay. he was wondering if nokia warranty is valid worldwide, or only at the country of purchase?
I have bought N97, and was using navigation but I am confused as it showed me that your navigation license is valid for 3 months, is it not free. As nokia web say that it is free 4 life.
