I have a strange problem with 5530.. I go into settings --> personal --> Themes and then themes open and shows me options like General, Menu, Home Scr. Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.

I mean lets say I have a blue handset which has blue themes but I want the red/black themes, where do I get that from? I would like to have all the original themes on my phone: red, yellow, blue and the grey one. My phone which is a red/black model only seems to have the grey one on it.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have had my nokia 5530 for over 5 and half months but then recently yesterday in the morning when i woke up my phone was ringing so when i answered it just switched off itself. It wasn't even getting switched on. So i charged it and after 1 minute it did switch on so i thought it was a battery problem but when i tried to call it switched off again. Now tomorrow I will go to Nokia Care but the problem is that my father had got the phone for me from Spain in September the time when it wasn't even launched here. So do guys think will they repair it for free or will i get charged for it?please reply.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I am calling or getting called my phone automatically turns up/down the volume till maximum. Means, when I try to turn down the volume a little it automatically keeps on turning down till minimum (and the way arround). Even if I don't change the volume it automatically turns up.
When the phone reaches maximum volume it always 'beeps'.
I have text messages set to iMessage ok and SMS okay. When a text message fails initially why isn't there a setting that the text will 'automatically' rollover to SMS instead of wasting time coming up with 3 options at the bottom of the screen, including sending as SMS?Â

When i'm on a phone call it automatically brings up the dial pad instead of going to the standard options like speaker phone and mute and all that. i often switch to speaker phone when on a phone call and i have to click twice when i could just click speaker phone.its just annoying i was wondering if there is a way to switch it to default to the speaker phone screen?

I mean if i close the email app also the sync should be disabled right? but on my phone it still syncing even if email app is closed. This is annoing coz night i want to disable the email sync, i don't want to be waked by new emails sound.
How do you force an app closed on the 5800? I thought there was a way to navigate to an Options->Exit menu item after pressing and holding the Menu key for a list of running apps, but I can't seem to find it any more. Is it just me or did this change in the latest firmware update?

Close some applications and try again" n the maps app got closed. but my phone memory has abt 33 mb of free space n memory card has 1.2 gb.

I use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts & calendar with Address Book and i Cal on my Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX Leopard.This morning, I synced the phone and computer as I always do, but got an error message that "Device synchronization failed" without further explanation. When I tried syncing again, I got a warning message that "The phone could not store some of your calendar events. The following events will not be synchronized:..." Concurrently, the phone showed the error message "Application Closed: CalendarServerThread". After wards, the phone calendar just shows up as blank and won't respond to input (I can't change the date, although I can access the menu). The calendar works again once I delete all entries.
I've done a full reset of the phone, yet the problem is still happening. Can anyone help me?
