I have text messages set to iMessage ok and SMS okay. When a text message fails initially why isn't there a setting that the text will 'automatically' rollover to SMS instead of wasting time coming up with 3 options at the bottom of the screen, including sending as SMS?Â

After ten days with an SII it still is new territory for me. My major challenge is battery drain. It goes for about 36h although pretty much everything that may consume battery is turned off and I do not use it a lot. Under Settings -> Battery I can see that the phone quit often is awake--even during night when I definitely do not use it.lso, I noted that it has quite a bit of data traffic (I've noticed because of the sound in my pc speakers). So I wonder what's going on?nder Job list, nothing is shown, no program running. Under auto sync, all are turned off (I have a Google and an Exchange account installed). Under data traffic, I can see the major data sender and receiver is Exchange Auto Sync although I told it not to sync (and I rarely check e-mails, definitely not of the traffic size indicated).

Both are connected to my apple ID account and whatnot with iCloud turned on on both, my iPhone is updated with IOS 8.1.1 and have Send as SMS on. Is there something I'm missing because my phone doesn't show the option of forward text message as others do.

I got my new X6 on Thursday and so far Im more or less happy, I'm just getting a bit frustrated with the texting as quite often I can be in the middle of a text when the cursor just takes me back to the beginning of the message and I can't stop it or even worse it just starts deleting my message letter by letter?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen receiving a text message I can see the new message in my inbox but when I open the text message it isn't there, it only shows my last message. If I reply the missing message will then show up in the chat above my reply. A battery pull solves this problem but it only seems to be a temporary fix as it has happened again.

The text messaging app gone missing after a soft reset. This on windows 10 build 10536. There was lots of apps in the store listed error and could not install, so I did a soft reset. Everything is backed on and few app still could install with error code.
The main problem now is the text message app gone missing. The button display as 'Microsoft messaging', when I click on it says need to download an app then direct to store, but then nothing happens.
I have dutch and English collegue`s so I make a textmessages in Dutch and English.Is there a way to change easy the wordbook/auto textmessage.

I have a strange problem with 5530.. I go into settings --> personal --> Themes and then themes open and shows me options like General, Menu, Home Scr. Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.

If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.

i installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI updated the Google Photo app last night as it has been pushing me to update and wouldn't work until I did. After the update, all of the previous photo edition options are gone (i.e. HDR, Dramatic, B&W, all of the vintage and frames, etc.) The only options available now are Auto, Light, Color, Pop and Vignette under settings and then when you pick the landscape picture icon, you have things like Mars, Phobos, Saturn, Ariel, Venus and Pluto. They just change the color of the pictures, don't add any effects.

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe other day while at Six Flags in Atlanta (them park for those of you who don't know it), a group of my friends and I were having a blast.We waited in line for the Superman ride and eventually when we were boarding my friend looked at me and said:
"Dude, what do I do with my phone?" To which I replied..
"You brought your iPhone 4??!" (I, and others in our group, had all left our iPhone 4s at home)
"Yeah, I'll just put it in this pocket *slides in pocket*, it should be fine"
"I suppose" I replied
Needless to say we were all more than thrilled after an hour of waiting, so I wasn't very concerned that my friend was an idiot, and figured he'd hold on to his pocket with his dear life while we rode the ride.
Halfway through the ride, a person in front of me had change fly out of their pocket and almost hit me the face, at which point I realized, my less-than-average-IQ friend, had more than likely had the phone slip out of his pocket while he held his hands in the air pretending to be Superman.Yep, it was gone. While getting off the ride it looked as though my friend had just seen a ghost (forgive my terrible examples). The phone had fallen out somewhere randomly and we had no idea where it was.
Skipping a couple of hours.Our group is driving home and one of our friends said, "Hey Alex, I'll call your phone and see if it was found my anyone."(Trying to hurry the story up). He called, it rang, a woman picked up and said that the phone had nearly destroyed a group of people walking on a sidewalk in the theme park as the ride came screeching by, but she informed us that the phone had a bunch of scratches on the back, and a chip in the glass in a corner, but overall was in working condition (and she had even managed to play with it since my friend didn't have a passcode).So...the phone survived a pretty epic fall, with only cosmetic issues (or so we were told). My friend has arranged to meet the woman soon, who happens to live not to far from us and get the phone back and pay her $25 bucks for keeping it. (She isn't interested in stealing the phone, she said her own phone is fine)
If the woman holds true to her word and doesn't take the phone, I'll try and post pictures of the phone whenever my friend gets it back...
I just sold my 3gs and I want to make sure I dont have to do anything with my contacts in order for them to sync back up with my iphone 4 when it gets here. Will it automatically just do this or do I need to do something before I restore my 3gs?

I never get GPS lock anymore on any of my GPS apps,, google, BBmaps, and like 5 other location apps.I go to my Options, Advanced Options, GPS and the page cannot open..I also noticed another problem where my Picture viewer doesn't open up pictures anymore from the thumbnail preview list. i.e when I click on a thumbnail it doesnt open full screen. It just sits there.

I have searched the forum in regards to the pop up saying my SIM Card is full delete messages etc., and I do know that I have gone back to Options (after reading it here) and said NO to saving messages on it. I have also removed my battery while phone was on, but am still receiving message. Now when I go to Options, nowhere in there (and all files are as "show all") is there anything in regards to SMS text messages. I do have a folder named SMS but it is empty?All went squirrely after I did an update on OS 6, not an upgrade, just an update that was offered. Icons have moved around that I'm not able to move, even when following directions again, from this site.
