Nokia :: Don't Have Settings / Utilities In Tools Section On N96?
Jan 4, 2010For some reason I dont have settings and utilities in my tools menu? Does anyone know why or how I can fix this? There is so much i cant do without it. I have tried updating my n96 through my pc with the nokia updater software but it keeps saying that it cannot find my phone connected.

Jun 23, 2010I have just purchased the Nokia x6 which I received on Monday. after 2 days trying to set up the Ovi maps, a friend told me that i had to go into tools, navigation and do something in there for the maps to work but after going into tools I discovered there was no navigation option. The software is has an option for a license key which I don't have and didn't think iI needed as it clearly states on the box 'Free OVI Maps forever' but maps just don't work and I stumped to why there is no navigation option which my friends phone has.

For this i have deleted the installed files from the Application Manager and now when i goto the viewlog in the Application Manager all the installed files are still shown in the log in which most of the themes are still shown as installed. Jul 19, 2010As a spare time J2ME developer I sometimes run into the annoying security issues, that makes messages popup, and requires my application to be signed if I want to avoid those popups. A certificate costs about $300-$500 a year, which is a lot for a spare time developer who's not making money on it, but mostly is just developing applications to myself. The alternative solution is to put my own root certificate on my phone. In order to do this I need one of the tools that lets me hack my firmware, as far as I understand.
My question is, which one of those tools would be best for me to use? Which one lets me add my own certificate to e.g. a W800 or W760 relatively simple (and preferably free)? Back in the old days I tried Far Manager to give my W800 another set of icons, and a boot-up splash image. I remember nothing about it though, except that it looked like a DOS program, and I bet there are simpler ways to do it today. I've also tried DaVinci very briefly once I needed a free service - but needed to pay anyway to get access to that free service. So which tool would you recommend me, if all I need to do is to give my phone an additional Java Certificate?

Apr 9, 2010I spent a couple of hours digging around for the right tools to unlock my F3,This includes the flashing tools rsd lite 3.1 and associated images – you will need a USB-motorola F3 cable though or make your own serial / F3 cable (schematics included). These are simply just tools I've bundled up for ease of access etc. If you just want to unlock an F3, use ODM_Unlock_v118h. I have personally tested this and it works fine.

Jun 5, 2010My name is Ivo and I,m from Bulgaria. I bought Nokia 6303 two months ago. The phone has 20MB memory (inside) and 1GB SD Card. So, may be you know that there are themes for nokia (s40) with .swf calendars and clocks. I,ve downloaded some and put them into the card.
But when I activate a theme the free space in my inside memory decreases. I had 5,5MB free space and when I activated a theme, it became lower (2,4MB). I tried several themes and my free space became 0MB. Now in Memory Status it's written: Telephone Memory: 11MB, Free: 0MB. So, I think that these .swf clocks from the themes are saved in my phone memory, but I cannot delete them, I can't see them. Can anyone tell me how to find them and delete them. Now I can't change my themes. It says: There is no free memory, deleta something!
I,ve read in another topic about "hard reset" with some of the phone keys. Can anyone tell me how to make this on Nokia 6303?

I mean lets say I have a blue handset which has blue themes but I want the red/black themes, where do I get that from? I would like to have all the original themes on my phone: red, yellow, blue and the grey one. My phone which is a red/black model only seems to have the grey one on it.

I just wanna ask why when I'm trying to download themes from m.tehkseven.net using the phone's browser when I tap on the theme I want, it didn't start downloading instead they bring me to a white blank page with lots of weird looking letters (I have no idea what it is) but when I used my N97 to download it's fine no blank page or anything.

Apr 18, 2010Purchased Nokia N97 Mini yesterday and was trying out different themes. After picking one I decided to remove the ones I didn't like. The problem is I can't find an option to remove them. So far I have tried soft and hard reset. It reset my phone and I had to input the country info etc but the themes are still there. They are not listed under App manager. In fact I can only find them under Menu > Settings > Themes > General but I can't remove them.

Jul 15, 2010Ever since I updated my Nokia 5230 software from version 10.xxx to 12.xxx to 20.xxx and yesterday to 21.xxx, I'm have not been able to install any sis/sisx theme onto my mobile and have also checked the application installation settings. Its goes through the entire installation and finally reads "No Access Unable to Install" finally when i remove the memory card and put it onto my frnd's Nokia E71 / 72 and install it to the memory it goes through and i'm able to use the theme. I've downloaded these themes from non-Nokia sources but expect support as both my frnd and me updated software yesterday to 21.xxxx for my 5230 and 31.xxx for his E72. He able to install themes but i'm not. Enclosed is the snap shot of the same. Couldn't get better than this Pls help expecting and early reply
