What is the average battery life time if you listen to FM radio (with earset and moderate volume). In some GSM specification its written "20 to 37 hours if you listen to music...." .Is this MP3 music listening or is this FM radio listening also ? (I mean "classic" FM radio NOT streaming radio !!!).I'm looking for a GSM that I can use as "walkman" (FM radio only !) during several hours a day without loosing too many battery power so that I still can use the GSM for making calls.....
I want to create a theme for my nokia x6. can you suggest me some tools? Do you want to get all the firmware updates for your phone? Get a SIM-free one! It's so easy!
Just got my 9810 from AT&T and I expected to get a disk with the PC tools software, but nada! I did get a setup prompt of some sort but i wanted to install the USB driver first so that I could charge my phone from the USB port on my laptop, now I don't know how to get back to that point. Can I install the software on my laptop from BB's web site? If so. what is it called and what is the latest version?
As a spare time J2ME developer I sometimes run into the annoying security issues, that makes messages popup, and requires my application to be signed if I want to avoid those popups. A certificate costs about $300-$500 a year, which is a lot for a spare time developer who's not making money on it, but mostly is just developing applications to myself. The alternative solution is to put my own root certificate on my phone. In order to do this I need one of the tools that lets me hack my firmware, as far as I understand.
My question is, which one of those tools would be best for me to use? Which one lets me add my own certificate to e.g. a W800 or W760 relatively simple (and preferably free)? Back in the old days I tried Far Manager to give my W800 another set of icons, and a boot-up splash image. I remember nothing about it though, except that it looked like a DOS program, and I bet there are simpler ways to do it today. I've also tried DaVinci very briefly once I needed a free service - but needed to pay anyway to get access to that free service. So which tool would you recommend me, if all I need to do is to give my phone an additional Java Certificate?
i cant get the lgmobile support tools to install. The install progress bar gets maby a half inch across and stops. Is there a place to download the full program? Im running vista btw.
I spent a couple of hours digging around for the right tools to unlock my F3,This includes the flashing tools rsd lite 3.1 and associated images – you will need a USB-motorola F3 cable though or make your own serial / F3 cable (schematics included). These are simply just tools I've bundled up for ease of access etc. If you just want to unlock an F3, use ODM_Unlock_v118h. I have personally tested this and it works fine.
Is OS7 compatible as to properly function if installed on BB pearl 9105 3G Which services, features or tools that won't work when experiencing OS7 on the mentioned device
For some reason I dont have settings and utilities in my tools menu? Does anyone know why or how I can fix this? There is so much i cant do without it. I have tried updating my n96 through my pc with the nokia updater software but it keeps saying that it cannot find my phone connected.
I have just purchased the Nokia x6 which I received on Monday. after 2 days trying to set up the Ovi maps, a friend told me that i had to go into tools, navigation and do something in there for the maps to work but after going into tools I discovered there was no navigation option. The software is has an option for a license key which I don't have and didn't think iI needed as it clearly states on the box 'Free OVI Maps forever' but maps just don't work and I stumped to why there is no navigation option which my friends phone has.
What phone tools software can I get to use on my Windows Xp Pro. 64 bit pc?I want to add ringtones, wallpaper etc.I have Motorola Phone tools but it does not seem to want to open up for me.
My daughter is using my old RIZR phone. I have an old copy of Mobile Phone Tools (v 2.16) which used to copy contacts back and forth to the phone. I distinctly remember a few years ago I had to update this version before it would recognize the RIZR.I haven't used this software for a while but I wanted to install it to back up her contacts. It installed fine but when I went to update, it kept saying version is already up to date. Has BVRP stopped supporting this product? Unfortunately it does not recognize the phone in the current version nor can I read the contacts off the phone.
Is there an application similar to Motorola Phone Tools or Nokia PC Suite that is available for the iPhone? I have resently updated to iPhone 3GS 32gb and love the product. However, I would like to have the functionality that i have been used to with my previous phone, the Motorola Razr. I would like to be able to send SMS from my PC via the connected iPhone, without Jailbreaking my phone. I have googled and found iPhone PC Suite, however it states you need a Jailbreak phone and i don't want to jailbreak the phone. There is a Japanese that has the functionality I'm looking for. But, it is written all in Japanese. And, I can't read Japanese
I just purchased a Sprint locked 8330 and am trying to unlock it. I have read many forums and tutorials on trying to unlock it but am stuck at the part where I need to read from memory the SPC/MSL number I am using CDMA tools and when I go to read a file and create the .bin file from memory i get a error: Read error at address 0x1067ED90. I seems to have worked in so many tutorials that I have seen that I am getting very frustrated.
I did a search and couldn't find how to transfer all my info on my 8900 to my new 9700 with BB user tools using MAC OS. Can't find any info in the book or the help on the CD and software. I've backed up my 8900 and was going to restore the info on my 9700 cause I couldn't find the device transfer icon on my macbook but I know where it is on my work machine on Windows. Am I missing something here or am I just half asleep.
I've just loaded my blackberry user tools disc on my laptop. Now its asking for my devise password, however its not excepting my password. Has it set it back to the factory settings?
I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
I have a Nokia 6300 with firmware v5.5 and recently it has just taken on a life of its own, turning itself on and off and pressing random buttons by itself, turning itself on to silent and generally being crazy. Is there anything I can do about this, I dont want to get a new phone, I really like this one.
I'm a pretty old Nokia user and have been using ONLY Nokia ever since my first cellphone.. I recently bought a X1-01 Dual SIM phone...Now the problem is, I cannot view the life timer surprisingly I use the code *#92702689# Shows me all data except life timer, how can this be?Every Nokia device comes with a life timer then why is it not present in this model of mine?
I installed 4.1 on 3GS yesterday, and it feels like I've got better battery life or at least more accurate battery reading. After about a day of usage, i hardly used to get about 40% remaining at night, but today, I've got it on 54.
Last night I charged my phone to 100% from a dead battery, was finished around 2am. I used twitter and played a little fruit ninja, made a couple calls today and used some WiFi. I turned on my battery percentage and it was 47%... Pre 4.1 I would still have around 70% left.
I upgraded to iOS 4 last week & now my battery life is about 1/2 what it used to be. It used to comfortably last a day, now it last about 1/2 that - I definitely have to charge it while at work each day.Anyone else found this?I'm hoping some solution can be found & slipped into an update - this handset is only a year old, so the OS upgrade should not have quite such a dreadful impact.
I have put my iPhone to 0% then charged to 100% three times now. Before the third time, I downloaded battery doctor. It seemed pretty cool that it can show me how much time everything takes, so I decided to check again after charging to 100%.
When checking, I see that everything is lower than it should be. It's actually comparable to a 3GS, and not my 4.

For example, battery doctor says my phone can have 30hr audio playback, 5hr talk time on 3G, and 3G internet time is 5hr. This is all comparable to the 3GS, which really disappoints me.
Is it giving me 3GS times because it identifies my phone as an unknown phone, or is there something wrong with my battery?
If it helps, IIRC I had around 7 hours(maybe a bit more) of usage, and 1 day 19 hours on standby right before it went to 0%.
