What phone tools software can I get to use on my Windows Xp Pro. 64 bit pc?I want to add ringtones, wallpaper etc.I have Motorola Phone tools but it does not seem to want to open up for me.
View 3 RepliesOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

My daughter is using my old RIZR phone. I have an old copy of Mobile Phone Tools (v 2.16) which used to copy contacts back and forth to the phone. I distinctly remember a few years ago I had to update this version before it would recognize the RIZR.I haven't used this software for a while but I wanted to install it to back up her contacts. It installed fine but when I went to update, it kept saying version is already up to date. Has BVRP stopped supporting this product? Unfortunately it does not recognize the phone in the current version nor can I read the contacts off the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

I have searched all over to try to find the answer to this with no luck. I do not want to tether my iphone or transfer files wirelessly over BT. I merely want to set up my phone as a PHONE via bluetooth to my computer so that I can use it as a microphone on Skype and on OC. I can connect the phone but it fails even when I have installed the peripheral driver. My computer sees the phone but it will not pair.

My PC is running XP 64bit OS, my old Xperia U connects fine through the same USB cable and my Xperia Z2 recognizes flash drives connected to it via the supplied adaptor cable... Does the phone perhaps not compatible with old version of windows?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use the latest version of OVI Suite with my new laptop with OS W7 Home Premium. Two are the problems I get: 1) When I plug my 5800 XM via USB cable and do any operation I have to do using OVI Suite, the "safely remove hardware " icon in the taskbar doesn't show up, as a result, in order to unplug safely the phone, I shutdown my laptop and unplug the phone. 2) Now, every time I follow the procedure in point 1, when I restart my laptop, the icons in the desktop mess up, and one of them ends up in the taskbar over-imposing the skype icon This behaviour occurs only when I connect my Nokia phone, otherwise the laptop is brand new and doesn't show any other problem with any other program.

The Torch recognizes the laptop but the laptop doesn't recognize the Torch. I've been on the Fujitsu website and reinstalled all the drivers.

Now I Install Desktop manager version 5.0.1.28 on my new PC with windows 7 64-bit and it doesn't work. It looks like it synchronize but when you look in the Calander of both PC and BB nothing changend. I'll ask Vodafone in Holland for a solution. A certificate costs about $300-$500 a year, which is a lot for a spare time developer who's not making money on it, but mostly is just developing applications to myself. The alternative solution is to put my own root certificate on my phone. In order to do this I need one of the tools that lets me hack my firmware, as far as I understand.
My question is, which one of those tools would be best for me to use? Which one lets me add my own certificate to e.g. a W800 or W760 relatively simple (and preferably free)? Back in the old days I tried Far Manager to give my W800 another set of icons, and a boot-up splash image. I remember nothing about it though, except that it looked like a DOS program, and I bet there are simpler ways to do it today. I've also tried DaVinci very briefly once I needed a free service - but needed to pay anyway to get access to that free service. So which tool would you recommend me, if all I need to do is to give my phone an additional Java Certificate?
i cant get the lgmobile support tools to install. The install progress bar gets maby a half inch across and stops. Is there a place to download the full program? Im running vista btw.
